Elizabeth - BWTG!! You rock!

Taxes due Monday? I'm soooooo not ready for that date to arrive. Wonder if I can get ready in the next 24 hours? hum......

The ribs, beef steaks and hamburger patties are cooked, packaged in meal portions and in the freezer. I didn't grill the pork steaks today because I don't want to rush them, I'll do them tomorrow.

DH took LO swimming. I'll work on the tax prep until they get back.

For Emptynester - thrilled!

For Twins' Mom - auuuuuugghh! Minor but icky, I know!

For Sunny - Whew! hospital soon to be in rear view mirror.

OKay, I recently happened upon a youtube of a lady's explanation of personalizing her planner. Many good and creative ideas BUT I recognized what I fear she could not. She was going into perfectionism mode and every page was becoming so important to her creatively that it was no longer utilitarian. Now, I rationalize that if I decorate/perfect a 3x5 (or, let's say, a similarly permanent planner page), I might use that same one for years and smile upon seeing it, but she was decorating pages that would be finished in a week, which really can't be wise. I'm sure you are right to "take what you need and leave the rest".

This day has not felt productive. I have been waiting all week for a productive day, and except for exercise have not been pleased yet. Just not in jack-of-all-trades mode lately.

With the concept of attending the upcoming Renaissance Fair, I've been looking at dresses/bodices etc. online. This is either spelled m~o~n~e~y or t~i~m~e. I don't want to let go of either, especially since the tickets to go there themselves are so high. Dd15 looked exquisite in her costume last year, but confides that although she loved how she looked, she was extremely uncomfortable and would rather change this year - no crinoline, please. I distinctly remember limping as I left, so how can I even consider any clothing that won't work with at least the good walking shoes I was wearing then? And if we go with dd33, how can I leave her out of costume possibilities, not to mention WHO is going to be the designated child chaser if all 3 of us are in costume... ... The one among us with the lovely, instantly fit-able figure is the one most able to chase children if she's in jeans. The other two of us either need more fitting or less authenticity! Pondering these things.

It was so good to hear MT's good news for Mr. MT's tests.

And Elizabeth's good news of mechanical fixes....WTG!

Dh is home and settled in. We left the hospital late afternoon, stopped at drug store on the way and got here just before suppertime. One rx was eliminated, one changed and we picked up a total of 5 scripts! Home Health Care/Phys. Therapy will be here tomorrow. Next we'll see what regular doctors do when he has his follow-up appts.

I have not been productive all week except to wash the few dishes I used. I will be glad to get back to a normal routine and will start with my weekly cleaning tomorrow morning!

I've been seeing news on The Weather Ch. about the fire on the boardwalk in Seaside Park, N.J. --- made me think of Cowinkie. Wonder how she's enjoying her vacation?

Talked to ds#3 this evening. He is healing slowly; ddil sent me pictures of the bruise on his leg and her dmom posted a picture of his arm on FB. Wow, it gave me a chill when I saw them. Dgs11 told me they had a very bad storm roll through their area today. Lightning struck a tree in a neighbor's yard and it fell - took up the whole yard!

Dh also says thank you for all the prayers and good wishes this week!

I feel like I have jet lag ---- time to get some rest! Good night all....

:D Good Evening, Villagers! :D

I had the computer off all day. I was crocheting, trying to get stuff done on my Immediate Action Card, but didn't get it all done, so re-wrote it. I can use it for tonight/tomorrow. I didn't work on my cards project today, but will try to tomorrow.

DH picked out a refrigerator, Kitchenaid, which will match my DW. The fridge is silver and grey. It's identical to the one, we currently have, by another company. Except on this broken fridge, it's got black sides and the new one will be grey there. I took a Rubbermaid little box, put the fridge magnets, magnetized potholder hooks and potholders into it, tucked it away in our pantry. They deliver Sat. a.m., didn't give a firm time, just said "morning", so we'll be up and ready early for them. :D :D I moved a ficus fake tree in a pot, to the bookcase, which was in the way of where they'll take the old fridge out and bring the new one in. I made a discovery! The fake tree looks much better decoratively speaking, next to the warmth of the bookcase and other things on top of the bookcase, so we'll leave it there. I've put off dusting the great room for a week, did a thorough job today, and I went through 2 Swiffer dusters, but I needed to get it done. I redecorated, too. I'm in love with my new look in the great room now. ♥ ;)

Yesterday, I ate 1 banana, 1 small bowl of coleslaw, 2 fresh plums, and 1 fruited breakfast bar. It was too many fruits than I can handle, evidently, so did my "walking" back and forth to the bathroom!  I have a medication, which helped, and I'm fine this evening. (TMI).

Emptynester, I'm so VERY happy for your DH! You both must be greatly relieved! :D :D

Sunny, it's great news, too, that your DH is doing better. :D :D

Nancy, You've burned LOTS of calories and built muscle today! :D

Twins' Mom, YOU are responsible for teaching me how to do my daily routines by TOTH and BOTH. Thank you, so MUCH! It helps the day go by so fast, I get more done, and I'm so glad I looked up the acronyms! :) :)

Oh! :!: Sorry about the fender-bender, too! Glad there were no injuries.

Sadie, are the men at your house feeling better yet, this evening? I sure hope so!

Elizabeth, I'm glad your computer's fixed, too! :D

(((((Booksaver))))) I hope all turns out well and for the better at the library. It can be stressful!

WTG, Helia! :D

OKay, I hope you'll be able to work it out so you can see DGS7. It sounds like he misses you sooOOoooOO much! :!:

DH went to a luncheon today, for retirees. He's been chatting about this man and that man, catching me up on news. It's nice.

Have a nice evening, Everyone! :D
