I see on the tv listings that tonight there are 2 new episodes of Big Bang Theory. Must program my recorder since I have to go to another boring meeting at the library.

Finished a long-standing to-do this morning. And also got the flower deliveries noted on our membership list so that's a long-standing to-do for the secretary.

I'm going to call it quits now and head out for lunch and then groceries. I have a good book to read at lunch. When I get home I'll get to work on housework.

Found a BIG blooper (my fault). This morning I noticed a yucky odor in the laundry room. Checked - yup! We caught a mouse. DH took the mouse out and I opened windows to air the room out. Came back later and the smell was still there. After further checking I found the problem. Last week I set up new organization method in the chest freezer. Part of the goal was to enable easy inventory so I decided to bag all the food into meal size portions. When I took the food out of the large bags (mostly from Sam's) I kept the bags for the barcode (My fitness pal) and for cooking instructions. >>>>Fast forward one week later >>>> The empty bags were stinking. I washed them in hot soapy/bleach water and dried them well. Then I cut them to fit into 8x11" page protectors. Now they are organized and easily flipped through to find information I need. AND the yucky smell is gone.

Speaking of smells, DH has twice made beef jerky, drying it in the dehydrator he got from DSisil, set in the garage so my house didn't smell like jerky for a week...and while the first batch was drying, a big old raccoon came up on the porch beside the open garage door..... so the next batch he did we kept the door closed!

Kathyn, it's too bad your DD is so closed-minded. That's ok if she feels that way, but too bad she limits you sharing your life with her. I can imagine how hard that is for you.

Not much going on around here. I've been working on old files here in the office. Looked up all the projects that never happened in the recent months, trying to see what's going on around us, and I find not one of them has gone forward with some other company. I guess people would like to do things, build, remodel, but they really have no money to do so. We must not be the only company slow right now.

Home from lunch and grocery shopping. Might take a rest now because I'm tired. Had another meltdown in the car on the way home from the grocery store.

Dh is doing his best to cheer me up. I might kill him. I want to wallow.

I am home again. Doc basically thinks there really isn't much change in dmom's memory or confusion and warned me "it will get worse." Doc and I discussed a little regarding dmom at home versus assisted living, but dmom strongly wants to stay at home and her happiness and preference is part of the decision as long as she's safe. So we have another appt with doc in six weeks. Dmom asked several times about when next doctor appointment is, and I kept reminding her she sees podiatrist next week. This is going to get old, but I don't have any other choice.

I am busting at the seams to do "something" for myself now, so I will nap a bit. Beyond that need to:
-get groceries/healthy foods in house
-laundry
-desk day, return emails and phone calls
-what else?

I think I'll start laundry and then set alarm for an hour "power nap."

Well rats, I never posted this earlier.

LOL, Kathryn, I think I am "wallowing."

Need to accomplish something....

-grocery list
-purge refrigerator
-reboot laundry, fold and put away the two or three loads sitting in bedroom
-return a temple phone call
-clean up email box, make a list of those I need to answer

Will check in at TOTH, I should go on to grocery at that point, regardless of where I am.

Hi everyone! I made it to Bible study yesterday. We got sidetracked from the commandment to keep the Sabbath onto events in Joshua, but it was interesting. I delivered DD11's xylophone to XDH's house. My maidwork continues, using FlyLady's lists. Windows got washed in the bedroom. I forgot the one in the bathroom, but will get it tonight. What's left on the weekly home blessing is: dusting and mirrors and doors. I need another feather duster, my last one had an unfortunate encounter with a kitten! Definitely a LOL tonight as well. I thought I had an animal org meeting tonight, but it turned out that was yesterday, OOPS! I have cancelled my art class tonight, but I have plenty of other things to keep me occupied. I will probably get some crochet done too.

XDH wants DD for two weekends in October. I gave the go ahead and asked for the Halloween party weekend, to which XDH and the other woman are NOT invited!

Kathryn: I am in Rio Rancho, one exit north of Albuquerque. In fact, if you don't know where one begins and the other ends, you wouldn't realize you were in another city. You mentioned some outrageous rental car prices, do you need a ride somewhere? Santa Fe is not far from me.

Okay: This lawn mower project sounds like something my DD would like. She is still taking apart the broken dryer and using the drum as a rocking chair.

Quick drive through post. . It feels like life has just been turned up a notch and I'm racing from one thing to another.

We usually (always?) fly into Albuqurque when we go to Santa Fe, Kathryn. We haven't been for a LONG time though. Santa Fe was our original destination this summer, until there were fires and dfriends' camping reservation was cancelled. We would have stayed in the city itself, not really wanting to do more camping, so it's ironic that we ended up camping after all in Glacier. Ironic but oh so beautiful! Dfriends from TX go to Santa Fe every summer in July. We've joined them several times over the years, once when dd15 was just 5 weeks old!! After we moved to MI, we went once for Cmas, and that was kids' introduction to skiing! I think it is a fun area to visit.

I was out the door at 8 today:
x picked up coffee
x set up for moms group
x spent the morning with the 1 year olds
x put away; did a little set up for next week - children's curriculum
x home around 12:45 pm
x lunch and some devo time
x emails: trip for GG soon w/ organization; orchestra mom asking about 15-20 missing evening dresses. I don't know anything about them - that is a lot, enough that I wonder if the dry cleaner's forgot to send them back; dfriend telling her once again that I can't help with the international Bible study this year. I've told her "no" about 3 times now. She is wonderful and sweet and there is a real need. . . Dh is starting to get irritated. . .
x gathered dirty dishes, wiped down kitchen counter, started dw - we're off in our timing. We need its full space for tonight, with 6 guests.
x started breadmaker with garlic herb bread - a little late.

I'm going to start a lol and make the MBR bed -- then, I'm going to take myself out into this beautiful day and go for a jog.

Afterward:
- wash 3 bunches of cilantro, chop fresh ginger, maybe cut up chicken for dh
- tidy living areas; they're not too bad, really
- quick vac to get the dog hair off the living room area rug
- check on main bathroom; I think it is still clean
