I have to brag about my DH a little bit here. He keeps all the weeds out of the grass, and we have 2 lots. He spends hours walking the grass, pulling ALL the little sprouts and especially the seeds, and the bare spots are filling in and with all the rain the grass is dark green. He says he'll keep it up as long as he is able... Trimming of the foundation shrubs is my job and I haven't kept up very well... the vegetable garden needs to go in too...

This morning I got the rest of that project done and emailed off. I also did a proposal with DH and I paid a couple bills.

I have a meal to take to someone and this family is in very bad straits with the husband having surgery and not able to work and a bunch of family came in from up north so there is 5 adults and 3 kids, 2 are teenagers. So my kitchen looked like a soup kitchen for a while with all the big pans and bowls out...and now that's all cleaned up and put away. I made DH some too.

I must be feeling a little better. Couple weeks ago I'd never have been able to do all this. YAY!

I've been feeling so good and I'm singing the praises of avocados. They seem to be a miracle food for me, decreases inflammation, good for the heart and cholesterol levels.

Vacuumed, swept and mopped, and also did the bathrooms.

Hope this energy level stays for awhile.

Going to try and help Dsister-inlaw in NY stretch her food dollars. She cannot work because of illness and she and her mentally challenged son get Food Stamps but they run out of them before the end of the month. She doesn't get the newspaper so doesn't know what's on sale there. I called her Walmart to see what stores they ad-match with. They only compete with two and veggies and fruits from Aldis. They all have web sites with their weekly fliers so will try to help her make meal plans from the sales. She usually goes to the Food Bank at the end of the month and she is grateful for that but they don't really have the right foods for her, to many starches and processed foods, so it makes her health worse.

Work day for me so off to the shower and then to work.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CATHY S!

My dbs and db1s worker are doing dms roof today. It was hailed on and totaled I don't know how many years ago. Instead of replacing it, she spent the money. 2 years ago she gave db enough money to replace her roof and his. He was responsible for paying any help on her roof. For 2 years dm has come up with every excuse in the world to keep them from putting on her roof. Dbs had intended to do the roof last weekend since she was gone. Then db1 hurt his hand and it got his work schedule, slowed down. Today both dm and db1 have called to vent. Dm is scared to death that the roof has rotted and someone will fall in. Db1 is irritated that they have to leave the property to use the restroom, since it is his own mothers home. He wanted to move the motorhome and dm told him that dstepdad has the keys. He has been gone for over 3 years. Dm is scared to death that it is going to rain. Yikes! I can't wait until that roof is back on.

Dh was called out to work at 2:30 this am. He just put on clean clothes without showering and didn't take breakfast or lunch. Haven't heard from him since, but I am betting he thought he would be home by noon with the crisis solved.

counters, stove, sink, table, cobwebs, one window inside sill cleaned, vacuumed and swiffered dry the kitchen floor, surface washed the kitchen floor with pinesol.

back at the pc to check the ratings of Hello Kitty party Nintendo game. DH found it at MPB weeks ago. No one has claimed it. The ratings are for young children so looks like LO has another game to play. If he isn't interested in playing it, we will pass it on to older DGS's little sister (the same age as LO). LO time playing digital games is limited so he is particular which games he spends his time playing.

DH is doing some rare "cramming" before he preaches. I heard DH tell LO that he was doing his homework too.

Supper cooking. Should be ready to put on table in about 10 minutes

Some new ideas for me today
I found pot pie made with sausage and gravy can't wait to
hear what h. Has to say about that when en we have it this weekend.

The library called and I have added two more books to the
tbr pile.

I filled in some of the holes from the hen made in the back yard.
