Sunday Stash & Dash memories

I started smiling when I saw " Maybe a victim of a stash and dash." in yesterday's thread.

Do you have any stash & dash memories to share?

My most memorable stash & dash was shortly after we were married. DH grandparents decided to come see our new home (12 x 80 trailer house). EEEeeek! I had about 5 minutes notice and the place was a wreck. I remember moving quickly room to room stuffing everything out of sight. Blankets went behind the couch. Dirty dishes went into the oven. etc etc. I remember being out of breath when they walked in and hoping they wouldn't know how messy of a person their grandson had married! The humorous part to me is, after I got to know his Grandparents I discovered they accepted & loved me no matter how messy I was (am).

I still do a stash and dash sometimes, but nothing on the scale of what I used to do.

I messed up yesterday. LO takes prescription allergy medication. The ENT doc said for LO to take it from March to October. I thought LO might be able to do without the medication now that cool weather arrived so I didn't give it to him yesterday morning. MISTAKE. when we arrived home from seeing his brothers I gave the prescription med to him, but his allergies were overwhelming his body by then. Last night was a long night. He coughed every few minutes. I got up two different times and gave him OTC meds hoping to get him some relief. He finally stopped coughing and relaxed around 4am.

I'm going to wait until he wakes up to decide about today's activities. DH will go do MPB AM chores and on to church for sure, but LO and I might stay home depending on how he feels when he wakes up.

Good Morning from New Mexico. The sunrise was beautiful over the mesa this morning. But it is a bit chilly at 43*F. It promises to be a sunny day.

My most famous Stash and Dash happened about the time I found the Sidetracked books. I don't remember the occasion for the S&D but during the stashing part I put the book somewhere. It was lost for over a year. I really was teased as at the time I was President of the Library Board and had to pay for the book. They never let me forget that I lost a book about cleaning house.

Today will be a quiet, resting day. DH complained about a lot of chest pain yesterday. Driving 200+ miles in a lot of wind didn't help, I'm sure. Plus there were weather fronts coming thru that made all of my joints ache and probably affected his.

I need to open the curtains and blinds to warm up the rig and make some oatmeal. TTFN

Just going to post a 'quickie'. Enough to say good morning and have a great day. Have to finish getting ready for church. I've been up nearly 2 hours and only have done meds, s2slippers. Still have to finish dressing, do hair & makeup. Write out my check for church and get dh's clothes out (it's the least I can do for him).

Dh went to dgs14's mini-stock challenge race yesterday afternoon. Ended up coming home by 7:30 as they had been 'fogged' out. So 'rain' check is for next Saturday -when we will be in Lancaster, PA. At least that's the plan. Hotel rates for this time of year are awful. Finally managed to get one night for $130. Saturday we've just decided to meander our way home. May stay south of here in Corning/Elmira area -depending on rates there. But being fall color season I'm sure they're all high. Found a Hol Inn Xpress in Lewisburg, for $79 BUT no rooms.
Up side of all that is that we'll probably make it to church next week.

ooooh, I finally had a chance to actually sleep late this morning! Slept until past 9 a.m. when the ddogs became insistent about me getting up. Looking at the last week, I've had things to get started on just about every morning and it's a luxury to sleep as long as I want now and then.

I need to get with routines today. Dh has been away since Thurs a.m. and I've not done much since cleaning lady left on Friday. But I do want to read the paper first, then will get rolling. He will be back around 12:30ish today. We are having dinner tonight w very dfriends.

I think I ended up with a stash and dash every year when we had Rosh Hashanah company. Lots of memorable stash and dashes along the way tho, probably every time we have company to some degree.

In laws never figured out they needed to call ahead
And was a bone of contention until they died. So I had so many s & d's here that none stand out. As it happenened eow. LOL.

Last night had one of those gawd awful lows #50 had to help me through it giving me juice fruit etc. Slept in a bit today.

I hope to get some white paint on the small
red coop that we moved yesterday.

The game is on at ten. We have made to bed.
Next up I need to load the the dishes. The cat I was concerned about loves two houses down has not been back that I know of yea.

Found sug. Free pumpkin latte flavored creamer I had been looking for last week I got the last one
YE - HA!!! Cowboy yelp! Coffee is great today bc of that!
Got all but two of h's wk.shirts pre-washed.
yippie figured out how to do bold on this tablet after having it nearly 6 weeks!!!

The bank is giving h. Grief bc he has no pc or email for statements they are trying to go green sigh.

Who has an out door sink I have decided it is a need not a want! I am thinking like deep laundry ones need some sort of counter and drying rack to let stiff drip a bit before the next phase.
