Today for me started out with Wrangling Frustrations: Of yesterday.
Praying to be a better person than I was yesterday b/c I did not even like me yesterday my pour family. Hormonal adjustments made it like riding the dragon.
So I'm trying to change my focus to better things today like remembering that I DID get the floors mopped and the trash dumped on time before trash day and got meals done and dishes too.
Wrangling with P/C at the moment.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Good Morning!
I'm enjoying the discussion about sewing machines and some of the reasons we think new "tools" are needed.
Kathryn - Love the 3x5" card tasks your DSon is doing and documenting.
I've been busy for the past 6 hours doing normal time slot activities plus trying to catch up from yesterday. If I ever wonder what I do during the day.....all I have to do is NOT do it for a day. Things piles up quickly and becomes chaos faster than I can believe.
I got a couple items off OMM list -
** sent email to Insurance people upping to the max our deductible. It is an educated gamble whether it is the right choice. It saves $400 a year but will cost us an extra $2500 if we have a insurance claim. We have never filed an insurance claim, so decided we were paying for something we aren't using. Time will tell if it was the right choice.
** send email to our attorney confirming DD has moved. Tuesday is deadline for next court action. >>>>>drumming fingers....waiting to see what happens next....<<<<<
DH is encouraging me to take it easy. I have an ear ache and my energy level is very low. I am having to push myself to get stuff done. The thought of taking a nap is not enticing but relaxing in the sunshine does sound good. Lunch is ready to serve so I'm going to try taking a long break until LO comes home from school.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Just wanted to make sure no one missed my post from last night!
Today... I must wrangle laundry... and dgs. Ddil brought him over so she could try to sleep -- worked last night and will work tonight -- and ds is up on their roof, helping the man put new roof on their house.
I know -- how anyone can possibly think they can sleep while their house is getting new shingles is totally beyond me...
(((Nancy))) Hope you have a great day today!
Sooo sorry for your dgs, Dee... (((BIG HUGS))) So hard for a boy that age to accept such limitations and disappointments...
Definitely agree that you made a good decision, BookSaver. Very wise thinking.
Kathryn -- that is such a neat idea for ds -- the 3x5s and photos!
Waving to Twins... blessed... Lynlee... OKay... and EVERYONE!!! Hope you all have a beautiful day!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Got sucked into ds's room. Have done one of those 'bitten off more than I can chew' things and am stuck. There was a bin I was to sell/giveaway the stuff in it but some things are brand new (shoes, hat, hooks for the wall) and others are very useful for when he comes home so I have emailed for instructions. He'll need to replace some of this when he gets home, so why toss when it all fits in just one bin I could store. We'll see what he says but in the meantime, I'm stalled. There's a second bin of cables that I'm unclear on as well. I think we are to keep it and use what we can both here and the new place (we'll have to string new network cables there.) But not completely sure.
I have packaged the shelves for one set of the bookcases going to dd. Still have to empty three more (including one that is full to the brim with photo albums - another case where I don't know what to do with things.) I've also emptied the closet in ds' room and got the leftover clothing ready to go to a thrift store.
Along with vacuuming and erasing wall marks and removing carpet stains, that room is getting into shape. I need a place for the boys to play lego when them come on Friday.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Hello Dear Ladies,
Sunshine here today!
Sometime during my breakdown yesterday, I went and sat on the front porch. It was so refreshing to do that. Must do that more.
I got a little bit farther yesterday on the obama care website than I had previously. Not able to do anything on it yet toward looking at plans or any prices. Will try again next week.
DH has appointment with doctor's next Wednesday. Will go over the possibility of no insurance. Hope for the best plan for the worst.
Got the bathrooms cleaned today.
Work day for me, have finished lunch dishes. Heading to the shower.
Great day to all.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
I've wrangled the pc into submission and gotten updates and the buttons on that are supposed to be. Time to consider a p/c will not do MSF os next time going android
if at all possible in the budget we need. B/c of above mentioned things updates security and viruses. {Might consider a ten inch. tablet for h. to use he seems okay with my smaller one.}
Dgson left his bike here so I was surprised when I stepped outside to see it.
When I went out to check the mail and it's still too damp to paint so using this for a desk day opportunity.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Oy, just now looked at minutes for August meeting and they are significantly wrong - probably too late for secretary to correct for tonight's meeting since she teaches Hebrew school this afternoon also.
I am working on agenda next, with time limits so we (that is the board) can't go off on a tangent when the disgruntled congregant speaks.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Took a short snooze -not even quite a nap -now to stay up until bedtime so I can sleep tonight.
Dh finished his 23rd rehab session today. He'll go 3x a week for the next 2 and then twice that last week before we head out.
Going to church tomorrow to work on our membership notebook -going to copy the pages. We had lost it since last fall when people were re-filing things, etc. I happened to find it in the library on Sunday -in a totally new notebook. It really needs to be in our fireproof file and I'll put it there once I've made copies. Feel relieved to find it. Has records from way back. Nobody remembered having it. When I found it the pastor said, "Oh, that's one of the notebooks I gave the committee". Has records of when anyone has joined our church or gone elsewhere and dates of death, etc.
Got the small suitcase from storage this morning so I'll throw a few things in that tomorrow. We'd like to leave here by 8 or so Friday morning. It'll take us about 5 hours to get to Lancaster, PA. We've decided to just come home on Saturday. Hotels are scarce and very expensive this weekend.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
"Teen drama theater" - skippable
Had occasion to go to the school office and there ran right into the long-time boyfriend of dd's last-year friend, who treated her so badly for daring to befriend a new girl. Since then, she does not "allow" dd to speak to her.
He was there about fighting, but he did not fight - he tried to break up the fight his drama-queen girlfriend had started, to save her from more injury. Another (much stronger) girl had called her a name walking past, and the girlfriend is so impetuous that she grabbed the offending girl by the hair and pulled her backward and down. Now, that tactic probably seems effective for a few seconds,
but it backfires very quickly when the other, bigger, person gets up, embarrassed and angry. And, sure enough, there followed a series of unfortunate events.
At any rate, that had happened a day or so before, and though the girlfriend was definitely suspended for fighting, the boy was just having to go to the office to explain again. He has long been coached by the girlfriend NOT to speak to dd's family any longer (I knew the above fight story from other kids), but I'm a MOM - I don't have to acknowledge that!
So it was amusing to see him squirm while I pleasantly chatted like it was old times. He wasn't allowed to leave the chair in which he was sitting as he waited for the VP! (Oh, I DO bear watching!
But nobody has ever dared tell ME that I wasn't allowed to "be his friend any more", now have they?!) I just hope he realizes soon that he used to have a lot of friends, plus the approval of many adults. And that trying to be a boyfriend to a hot-tempered, selfish person has driven many friends away and will only cause him more grief. I'm sure his parents are far from amused right now.
Twins' Mom, you are so wise to anticipate what will be needed at the meeting in advance!
Sadie, do you have much seating on your porch? I love ours also, and also don't make time to enjoy it enough.
Neither piece of mail I'm awaiting has arrived, even though I expected one at least by yesterday. Trying not to get concerned about this. I suppose no one else is in a hurry. I feel badly, though, in keeping others waiting for me to pass these along for the estate. Did get a confirmation from that insurance company that they will reimburse for some of my ddad's overpayment, but only for about 2/3 of the amount we had agreed on the phone.
HRH says to remember it is their job to try to find reasons or loopholes they do not owe disbursements, so I'm probably lucky to have managed to get this much back.

Re: WEDNESDAY WRANGLIN'
Good afternoon everyone! My dFriend caught the other kitten! She dropped it off on my porch in the trap and I immediately took off for lunch/kitten rescue. It is a small, black, LOUD kitten of unknown gender. When I brought him in, he quieted down as soon as he saw my other foster kittens. However, he has not been tested, so he had to go into the bathroom. Usually, the sewing room is where I put the newbies, but I still have to do the ceiling and put it back together. He was panicked at first, but I got him calmed down. I was able to pet him and got purred at. Kittens tame very fast. His presumptive brother (already adopted) also tamed fast and could be incredibly loud.
Last night, I was not able to do the swamp cooler on my own. I ended up calling XDH, who showed me what to do when he came to pick up DD11. At first, he didn't want to because it was dark. But, I reminded him that I could only get roof work done while DD is there (to call 911 if I fall down!). I need to buy a hose and finish draining it, but it is dealt with enough that if I need the heater during the Halloween party, I can turn it on. While looking in the heater/water heater closet, I found mold and dealt with that. When XDH and DD left, I worked on the kitchen. It is coming along nicely. I have one and a half counters left to do, the outside windows, and cleaning the refrigerator left.
I have not been able to find my notes from the last animal org meeting, so there are no minutes for the meeting tonight. My schedule tonight is a little crazy: After payroll, I need to RUN home, set a roast to cooking, start a LOL, and grab a shopping list. Then ZOOM across town for the animal org meeting. Next DASH back across town to a hardware store to get the things needed for the swamp cooler. At last, STREAK back home in time to take the roast out of the oven and swap the laundry. There won't be much time left for the kitchen work, but it must be done before the 26 Oct party. Also, I will need to check on the new babycat. Never a dull moment in my house!
