We're either a very quiet bunch or very busy today. I opt for the latter.
Dh has been gone for over an hour to take his shower. Waiting dessert (we bought a beautiful peach pie in Lancaster -only the underside of the crust is gooey!) until he gets back. I put the pie in the oven and baked it again for a while, hoping it would finish and not burn. Vanilla ice cream is sounding awfully good on top right now. I'd call dh and ask him to bring some from the store -except I inevitably would catch him in the shower.
Dh started another fluid reduction regimen yesterday & today. He's put on 7# over the past few days & his ankles are starting to look swollen. Granted a little might be actual weight gain and some swelling could be due to all the travel. But we'll see how he does by tomorrow.
Think I'll get ready for bed and wait for dh and then to bed early. He has cardiac rehab 3x this week and next. Supposed to do 32 visits. Hate to think how much we've paid in co-pays this year. Still waiting for our 2014 health insurance info to come. I would have thought it would be here by now. Think we have to make our decision by around November 1st??????

Re: Sunday Sense
Slept until 11 a.m.!
I went to bed just after midnight part way through Saturday Night Live.
I was out the door probably about an hour later. Stopped for 4 apple crisps (2 for dd to take home) and a regular pumpkin pie. (someone else was taking a gluten-free one as my dad and brother have Celiac)
Got home just before 7.

Re: Sunday Sense
Did 1 lol, put a cassette in my walk man (Yes, "some" people still use them!)
and dusted the house to music with DH's football on. It drowned out the non-stop weekend football!
But it's okay. It keeps him out of trouble, he's home here with me and not out at a sports bar with a bunch of guys. (He's not the type.)
I took a long one-hour nap. Had pain, so took a pill and conked out.
Woke up feeling better. Put away a lol towels in the dryer from yesterday. At least they're put away now.
It's been sunny all day. I'm looking forward to having a sweet potato with my dinner.
I was trying to research some drugs on-line, to get more information. I believe http://www.medlineplus.com is about the best one out there.
We're having an Amber Alert in our state, which came on in the last 2 min. of DH's football game, but he did see the very end.
Hope the child's found save. 2-year-old boy.

Re: Sunday Sense
Hello, villagers ~
I've had 4 days in a "camping lodge" with extremely limited internet capability. With a bit of struggle, I was able to check my Email once each night, but gave up on anything else because it took so long and sometimes was not available at all.
I will cuop before posting any more.
I'm glad to be home!

We are now in Deming, NM, with full hook-ups. Had a great 3 days with our pals in Columbus. The Rally starts Tuesday and we might start for home on Saturday.

No time to cuop right now -- dh needs computer -- but I did see that (((BIG HUGS))) are in order for Harriet's dd!!! OUCH!
Hope all the "attention" doesn't drive her crazy tomorrow.
Thanks for all the sympathy re: DMV. No wait at all... picture was not exactly horrible, although it could have been better.
I could have been slimmer, for instance...
Today has been a pretty normal Sunday and I have made SENSE of over 100 photos! WOO HOO for THAT!!!
Oh my goodness. Digital photos get really out of hand QUICKLY.
I downloaded them to s napfish... then sorted them all out into digital folders for future reference.
Still a bunch of clean up, back up, etc. needed on computer, but at least photos are in order again.
Of course, when prints arrive from s napfish... then they will just go on the stack on the shelf in the den... awaiting the day they go into albums. However, I am determined to keep old-fashioned albums, b/c I fear the digital age is going to take the joy of looking at old photos away from younger generations, like dgs. One of my greatest joys was looking at old photos at my grandparents' houses, so I want to hold on to that for dgs.
I have also done 4 loads of laundry today.
DH is doing towels now.
Tomorrow will be "exciting" day for me. Y'all should be proud of me. I have rsvp-ed that I will attend a meet-and-greet thing w/a couple of authors, sponsored by library association, at the home of an acquaintance/friend, whose home I have never been to. She hosts many weddings, etc. in her garden... so I know it will be quite an "event." * sigh *
I hope I dress properly... and I hope I don't feel totally out-of-place with these library ladies. * sheesh *

Re: Sunday Sense
My season finale on PBS called "Last Tango in Halifax," was tonight. I loved it, I cried and cried and DH cannot figure out WHY I cry "happy tears" when something makes me happy!
Today our dgrson turned 10.
We called him, he bought himself a gift he really loves from the money we gave him. He's so adorable, then then aren't all grands to grandmas?
I need to write a to do list for tomorrow. It's mostly a list to know when to take certain meds, what to do for exercise, etc... I have 3 x 5's, too.
I finished crocheting dgd's afghan for Christmas! I bagged it up and put it on the walk-in closet shelf. Now, onto dgson-4.5 in red, black and white.
Oops.
I just remembered something! I have FM (fibromyalgia) and so does a pen pal of mine. I have several booklets or pamphlet-magazines on FM. I want to read them tonight,
to give her one I won't need, will write her a letter, send a photo and it'll go out on Tues. I love to surprise my pen pals with "just because" things, like crocheted potholers, and things, occasionally because they're so sweet. ♥
I'd better run. It's getting later and I have my 3 x 5" p.m. routine card sitting here staring at me. I'd better get it done, so I can put up my a.m. routine card, so it's facing me first thing when I go on-line tomorrow.
I'm trying to get back on track. I got my routines missed up this week, past, with 2 appt.'s, and wasn't well once, napped too much one day, etc...
Happy Columbus Day tomorrow!

Re: Sunday Sense
Another of those sewing retreats where parts of it were really fun ... and other parts made me really, really glad that I will not be president of the group next year. I'm looking forward to being able to attend a group event, relax and enjoy it without being responsible for anyone else's issues.
Then to top it off, I got all the way home and could not find the part of my keyring with my house and post office keys. I had them clipped with my car key to my belt loop today as I was up & down, in & out, cleaning the kitchen and dining room of the lodge, helping everyone carry out sewing machines and stuff, and trying to get my own belongings packed up and carried out to my car. I have no idea when it separated and the other keys fell off. Obviously I had the car key to drive home, and was too exhausted to notice anything else. I just wanted to get out of there.
I have an extra house key and I can have the p.o. box re-keyed. Probably should get new P.O. keys anyway, since DH lost his about 20 years ago and it is inconvenient to only have 1.
Someone from the church that owns the campground and lodge is going out there to mow tomorrow morning. He will look around the building and call me if he finds the pink stretchy band with 2 keys. I'll also search my car again tomorrow morning after I unload the last of my stuff. Otherwise I'll drive down again (about an hour away) Tuesday to retrace my steps around the camping lodge. If no luck by then, I'll replace the keys.
***
Funny bit from Thursday -- I had to stop on the way to pick up a few groceries. Opened my hatchback and saw there was extra room there. Realized that I had forgotten my sleeping bag! (The lodge requires everyone to provide their own bedding and towels.) I was running late and didn't want to drive back home.
I had a flat sheet, pillowcase, and my pillow was "quillow" which unfolds to become a small blanket. When it was time to make my bed, I put some clean clothes in the pillowcase to use for a pillow. I didn't pack any extra clothes, though, so yesterday I had to swap out some finished projects for the clothes so I could wear a clean pajama top last night and a Tshirt for today.
Good thing I've been camping often enough to figure out substitutions for forgotten items.

I'll post more about the retreat in our AC&N thread.
