today: an antipasto platter: domestic proschiutto (sp?), hot italian peppers, kal. olives, parmesan slices, french sausage, and cabonata garlic rubbed italian toast (sp?) , small amount of mussels in wine and shallots, scallops in tomato wine cream sauce, rice, salad with balsamic vinaigrette,

dinner was good if I may say so myself. one of the kids had a rough day at work and it turned out mussels (I don't eat them lol) is one of his favorite foods

picking up chicken fajita stuff from butcher - you just fry it. (I won't be home) with (queso, cilantro, sour cream, salsa already bought from butcher and corn tortilla's _, I have left over rice from last night so I think I will make spanish rice - (tri color peppers, left over jalapeno peppers, can of enchilada sauce, onions, cilantro and I had to use 1 envelope of taco seasonings (too lazy to figure out spices) to add more flavor) out of that.

That's wonderful d nancy!!! great Job !!!

sometime this week I have to make plain and apple pie apple sauce to use up the apples.

ended up with a plan that turns out that I had to move to Friday!

rachel khoo's Winter salad-salad topped with (roasted carrots and parsnips, beets) then topped with a goat cheese mousse (lol it sounds so fancy: the goat cheese is blended with 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup whipping cream) and pieces of bacon and a vinaigrette

Rachel Khoo's chicken dumpling soup - for the girls and temporary adopted son - I will have some small slices of french bread, black forest ham and 2 different cheeses and dijon mustard for open face sandwiches.

raspberries for dessert

I brought home various leftovers from the weekend sewing retreat. (The group does our own catering.)

Monday night I used up cooked penne pasta (plain), a big can of mushroom pieces, an onion, and sour cream by making a stroganoff casserole with the last of the ground beef in our freezer.

This was the third morning in a row that I made breakfast from a leftover baked sweet potato served with a couple mini cinnamon rolls.

There is still some of the cooked penne left. If it looks and smells ok later today when I'm ready to cook supper, I'll use it to make mac & cheese. I don't think DH ate much of the ham that I bought for him to use in sandwiches while I was gone. There are a couple of small tomatoes which need to be eaten today so they will go in a lettuce salad.

Not quite as oddball as some of the combinations of leftovers that we have eaten after past sewing retreats.
