Re: Sum it up Sunday
Just never made it here yesterday!
Wanted to wish Mr. & Mrs. LucyLee a Happy Anniversary (yesterday) -so wishes are a day late.
Have to get ready for church. Not feeling very well but definitely have to go today as we have a meeting after worship. We had a meeting 3 weeks ago regarding our sanctuary roof/ceiling but realized we needed to call another business meeting for specific expenditures. Other meeting was more informational.
Going to rest for 30 minutes and then get ready. Have a cold which I'm hoping dh does not get!! He's going to be out all day doing winterizing. (do you have to winterize your MH, MT?) Only supposed to be high of 52 and raining later on. Was quite sunny but has gotten very cloudy now. But think the rain is actually south of us until later. Hope so -last thing he needs is to get soaked. Think he has 5 winterizes to do today.

Re: Sum it up Sunday
I have to note that a couple of SEC football teams (representing me and Lucylee) had Successful Saturdays yesterday, along with dh's alma mater FSU!
We were up at 5:30 with a chirping smoke alarm - why do these things start in the middle of the night? Must have been hurting Moses ears because he woke me up with front paws on the bed, so I got up and let the boys out. When they came in I went back to bed and he came and put his wet furry paws up on the bed next to me, then crawled under the bed when I was unresponsive. By then I figured out the chirping sound and dh and I got up and he changed out the battery and we were awake.
I've read the paper thoroughly and watched most of Goldfinger with dh. I'll need a nap at some point - we are going to a wedding at 3 p.m. and I'll come home from there and need to get dd and dfriend back to K-town after.
I need to get busy so I don't get sucked into another James Bond movie!
-kitchen counter clean up
-change clothes and walk ddogs
-brush teeth
-straighten GR around dh and James
-start a lol

Re: Sum it up Sunday
Good morning, villagers ~
Hoping to get back to "normal" routine today. Last week was all discombobulated from being away at sewing retreat last weekend. Not really sure a "retreat" is worth it when it takes so much effort to get ready for the thing, so much work during the thing, and so many days recuperating and catchup from being away for the thing.
Yesterday was the big family wedding for DH's nephew. I'm glad I dressed up. DH and I were still a little underdressed, but at least I wore a skirt and nice jewelry, and he wore a dress shirt with his khaki pants. His brothers all wore ties and maybe DH should have, too, but there were lots of other men there without ties.
The new niece's wedding dress was very beautiful, strapless and form fitting. Her attendants wore yellow, typical bridesmaid dresses with halter style bodices. The men's tuxedo vests were dark purple. Mother of the bride (DH's sis) wore a black ruffled skirt, and her shell & matching jacket were blue & black print brocade with lots of sparkle.
A huge beautiful church that I'd never seen before. I was joking with one of the sisters-in-law afterward, asking if the marriage was still "official" when the pastor used a tablet computer for the ceremony instead of a traditional Bible.
It's a non-denominational church and all looked very new and modern. The 2 musicians were wonderful, playing a guitar and stand-up bass.
Reception in a rented hall. Waited over 2 hours between the wedding ceremony and when the bridal party arrived at the reception. Supper was beef and chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, tea roll with butter, and little bowl of lettuce with salad dressing. The menfolk were happy with the meal, although I would have liked more green veggies.
We stayed through the first 3 dances (bride & groom, bride with father, groom with mother) and then DH was more than ready to get out of there and come home.

Re: Sum it up Sunday
Planning for this week:
Declutter project spread over all days. There should be lots of archived files in the office cabinet that have aged out by now and can be destroyed. Then newer files can finally be moved into the cabinet and their temporary boxes can be flattened. Hoping by the end of the week to have regained quite a bit of floor space in my office.
Sunday (today) - Catch up on Emails. Several to write and send out. Alternate with reading fun sewing & cooking blogs and 2 sewing magazines that arrived in the mail Friday.
Monday (tomorrow) - My friend has not received any other offers on her sewing machine. It's been over a month and she doesn't want it hanging around any more, so she's going to accept my offer.
I can pick it up at 10AM. I'll run a few other errands and buy groceries while I'm in The Big City. Must call to make appointment for my car's oil change later in the week.
Tuesday - The good friend who needed help a few days ago with a dress she's making, says she needs fitting help with another project. 10AM at her house, not sure how long it will take. Are there any other places I need to go in her town?
Wednesday, Thursday - Big declutter project. Learn to use the new sewing machine. Switch out summer clothes for winter sweaters. Check winter clothes for repairs.
Friday - Final preparations for Quilts of Valor sew-in on Saturday.
Saturday - Quilts of Valor sew-in event.

Re: Sum it up Sunday
Today I am planning on staying home as much as possible. I do have one thing I need to go out for, but it is more local than what I've been doing lately. More on what is going on will be posted in MO.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
