Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
Great quote! That's the issue with the churches. They are so focused on trying to stand where they have always stood, they don't see that they are supposed to be moving forward. At least they are supposed to be moving if they are following the Bible which doesn't let anyone get comfortable in any one place before they are told or forced to move on.
I'm up and at it.
Bed is made, room tidied, s2s, and I've refilled the vitamin dispenser and also put out the nighttime vitamins for our trip. Our daytime ones for the trip still have to be done but I'll wait until after I eat. I also emptied the dish drainer and refilled the hot water pot so I'll have lots of hot water to sip through the day. It is very cold out here today but bright sunshine.
I have big plans for the day, we'll see what happens.

Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
Kathryn, I was trying to start with Motivating Monday, after Ivy's thoughts from last night, but this quote is the one that ended up speaking to me. I'm applying it to a lot of things - my weight loss journey (going no where right now), my house, my temple duties that I feel I've neglected...
Yesterday was such a blur I feel like I need today off but I need to keep moving. I got up, s2s-ed and had breakfast and got on the road. Meeting was a lot of socialization and in some ways not particularly worthwhile. On the road I only took a break for coffee or bathroom breaks, and I was only home about 45 minutes before we took off to see dneighbor from old house. Back home exhausted, and I didn't even walk ddogs but went straight to bed.
So here I sit this morning with my usual late start on Monday.

Great title. Spoke to my sister and my daughter last night. My sister is struggling.
I'm thinking about going back to bed. Once I do get back up I'm doing more laundry and more sorting. We have a very neglected spare bedroom that has become the stash-and-dash room over the past 5 or 6 weeks.
Right now I have the doorway blocked with the ironing board.

Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
Good Morning!
I need to be moving ahead too, but find myself treading water instead. I'm watching the clock waiting for LO Doctor office to open. LO isn't any better today so we are going to get him into see a doctor. Hopefully we can be worked into see his regular pediatrician, but if not....then I'll take him to a walk-in type clinic. Last night was another long one - up several times checking on LO and giving him meds.....including a very fast up-n-at-em from bed to carry LO while RUNing to the bathroom when he was sick to stomach. This time we made it in time. ***PHEW**** I'm thankful hours of cleaning up that type mess didn't end up being on my schedule today.
I've also been narrowing down the details of DH trip this week. DH does many many things very well, but traveling is not one of them. The amount of times DH has traveled anywhere without me can be counted on one hand. So....I'm working out the details for him. Thankfully he will be traveling with DSon so I just need to work out the parts of the trip that DSon won't be taking care of. OH ....and who will be covering all of DH many got-to-do's at MPB while he is gone. The 4 generations usually help us out on that type of thing, but the birth of baby trumps MPB needs (rightly so!!). We might be forced to hang a sign at MPB saying something like........"Sorry MPB customers, you are important to us but your needs are not #1 on our to-do list this week"
Alighty! Time to find a doctor to see LO

Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
Off to a pretty good start today.
Breakfast: Oatmeal with raisins, cinnamon and honey
Lunch: Hearty Potato Soup with Onions, Celery, Spinach and Cheese
Dinner: Green Salad with Chicken
Snack1: Pear
Snack2: Broccoli and low fat dip.
Breakfast is done with kitchen back in MM.
Potatoes, onions and celery prepped and cooking
Chicken cooked yesterday and needs to be shredded
Broccoli prepped when I brought it home from store.
It is soooooo good to be organized. I feel so on top of things.

Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
I had the baby for 30 to 45 min. today, then the mom came and will bring her back later. A mix up on drop off place I guess.
Got chickens fed and I am glad to have the break for a bit with some much needed down time. Sigh of relief. I am feeling better and not coughing yea!
Bed is made laundry is current as are dishes too. Getting a plan for dinner in my head as I type this can of soup seems like a winner for the wintery forecast today.

OKay: Strep?
I am movin' ahead on a.m. routine finally. I started checking off yesterday's
but got back on the right day.
-change clothes and walk ddogs
-brush teeth, floss, wash face, etc. (will s2s after I go to YMCA this afternoon)
-start a lol
-wipe down/clear kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table
I am meeting drabbi's wife at 12:30 for lunch and will go work out at Y this afternoon. At six I am going to a dinner event at the JCC at which the rabbi is speaking. Dh bowls tonight so he is also home late.
Just found that I can go to the website for the Y workouts and follow along on my iPhone or iPad.

Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
Bedroom level is dusted and vacuumed. Bathrooms up there are cleaned. Main floor is vacuumed. Surprisingly, I was able to do it from one plug in point (both the upper and lower levels.) I've never been able to do that before. My new vacuum parts didn't lengthen either the hose or the electrical cord so I have no idea why I was able to it today. I guess I never tried hard enough before.
My new floor brush is like the Dys an ball thingy so I twist and turn it around things easily. Behind the toilet is now simple to get to (and with the amount of hair I drop, it is important to get there.) And I can to baseboards with it as well since is twists around easily to run along the wall.
Next up is prepping for the two trips. Trip one is Friday morning and I need to start packing for that. Trip two is in January but I need to fill in forms for that and get an Australian Visa.

Re: Movin' Ahead Monday
Great quote, Twins! I've used that idea in explaining some details of some teachings and in discussions with some friends.
((LO)) I hope the Dr. is helpful.
Menus look great, MT!!

Hello everyone!
Dh, GG, and I went to go see Gravity in 3D Saturday night after small group. It was enjoyable, lots to talk about afterward. We all had decided that we have NO desire to go into space. Even dh, the strongest risk-taker in this home said that. Dh felt they did a good job with some of the technical/science aspects but felt the physics was wrong in some areas too. We're wondering if this movie will be nominated for academy award for special effects. . . I agree with someone's comment (was it here?) - too little of George. LOL!
I realized early this morning that I had made an error in setting up a cell in the spreadsheet for one of the childcare workers for our church moms group. I emailed our church accountant this a.m., hopefully before the checks are cut.
Not sure I'm hitting it on all cylinders this a.m. While drinking my tea, I checked emails, responded to one, found error in spreadsheet, emailed accountant detailing the error, checked online bills - only 2 now, paid cc, looked more closely and discovered I paid this cc 2 weeks ago so I have now paid twice.
We now have a sizable credit since it was a sizable bill. We pay in full each month, as I know many do. I'm not really into bankrolling credit card companies, but I suppose we'll spend this much again eventually. . . ergh.
I've s2s-ed, had bfast, had coffee/tea with dh per his request as he is traveling again today, leaving tonight. Took some devo time.
Today:
- morning routine - finish
- catch up on laundry so dh has clean clothes to wear on his travels. Would be nice for the rest of us to have clean clothes too. Heheh!
- Hebrew translation work; we're starting the song of Deborah today! Poetry is very interesting but sometimes difficult to translate. This will take a while. I've got a head start, did more last week than we got through.
- figure out how to pay next installment on dd15's France trip with the high school bands
- groc. store?? Would be nice. We can wait until tomorrow if necessary, though. . .
- read and edit dd18's short answers and one essay for the 2nd Univ. she's applying to for early action. It is due today. Maybe she can submit it before 11:55 pm?? I doubt she'll get into this one. In fact, life would be easier if she didn't get in. . . .
- Hebrew class 5:05 - 6:05
- I'm on my own for dinner tonight since all 3 girls are heading to Detroit w/ the church youth group for weekly tutoring at our sister church in the inner city.
I'm happy to be on my own.
- exercise - would be good. I'm feeling a little discouraged about this process; I'm basically maintaining. It could be worse, I guess. I'm not overweight, but I would like to shed a few pounds, maybe 10. My 46yo body is just not the same as it used to be. And we do a lot of social eating and go out a fair bit on the weekends too. . . *sigh*
Next:
- update laundry
- finish a.m. routine (just make bed, make sure kitchen counters are clear and wiped down - not much there now)
- call travel company
- settle in with Hebrew work
