Today dd2, the 2 little girls and I went to the Veteran's Day Parade. Dgs9 was riding on a fire truck, dressed as a fireman. He had the biggest smile on his face. Then dd2, the girls and I went to H ome
D epot to buy paint for the 2 kids bedrooms. Dd2 is very daring and creative with paint colors. The boys room will have 1 red wall and 3 light gray walls. The little girls room has 1 hot pink wall and 3 lilac walls. Dd2 called dd1 and invited her to eat lunch with us. After lunch, we went to the new house and dd1 painted the boys room. The red wall definitely needs another coat and we will have to see on the gray. Dd2 painted the hot pink wall and it looks like it covered, well. She has the lilac walls trimmed.
I worked on cleaning the fridge. It is stainless steel with the 2 side by side doors and the freezer drawer on the bottom. I have the fridge part done and will do the freezer tomorrow. I want to vacuum all the drawers and shelves in the house. Then I will wipe them down and dry them. This house has new lighting and ceiling fans through out the house. Also all the counter tops and faucets in the bathrooms are newer. I love the color of wood and style of the kitchen cabinets.
Today it was dgd2's turn to ask her mom if they were moving in that house. When dd2 said yes, dgd2 came back with "why?" It is hard for the little girls to understand that life will be easier on everyone if they live in town. Dgd17 and her bf came by. She is excited to be moving back to town. Last night the HS play off game was 4 hours away. They didn't get back to town until 2 am and then she had to drive home on the highway. She is looking forward to not having to do that anymore.
Since I have been home this evening, I have been doing laundry and ironing.
I have loved reading about Okay and Kathryn's visit.
