It is so neat to be able to accurately picture OKay going about her day!

I went for a walk around the block. This is a shopping area with lots of pretty things on offer. I haven't bothered to check prices. This is a place for rich people. You can just feel it.

Dh took his lunch period and came with me to drop off the car. I got him back just in time. The bus ride was uneventful.

We had the porter bring the luggage up to the room for us so it was waiting when I got back and I decided to unpack for both of us. I've just finished and am hooked watching The Blind Side. I keep tearing up. Haven't had lunch so am having some dry cereal now to fill an empty spot in my tummy. I really should go out and find a grocery store.

Dh is bowling tonight and I am making the ddogs wait later for their supper trying to reduce the early morning calls to be fed.

Meeting at temple went well and I got home to get Moe to vet to get bloodwork checked. He is doing fine, I think. Otherwise I've been vegging out today. I found a phone message on "machine" just after 5 p.m. from social services lady at dsis' nursing home, but she was gone for the day when I called back.

I didn't finish a.m. routine so I am going to hit it....
-clear kitchen counters
-fold the two lol I mentioned this a.m.
-start a lol
-make the bed
-feed the poor suffering animals

I enjoyed reading posts today. Nothing noteworthy with me today. I did a bit of desk work, but most of it will come after payday on Wed.

We got a call from The Lady at the a/c company; we were due for a/c check and they had a man in the area -- could he come within the hour. I said yes, he came, examined and said everything was fine, see you next year!

Blessed...I've lived in Florida for 28 years now and I really miss the seasons, especially watching the snow falling. I liked watching it at night when you could just barely hear the flakes tapping the ground - so quiet, peaceful.

I thought I had posted earlier, but then I remember that I typed out a massive long rant about my bff and then deleted the entire thing.

Why is it that sometimes we try to inform or help or teach and our efforts are completely ignored or unheeded or unheard?

I went to bed and read a book for the past few hours. I have finally finished "It" by Stephen King. Yikes. I don't remember reading anything like that when I was younger although I was so certain that I had read all of Stephen King's books, and all the books he wrote under another name, and all of his wife's books, including those under another name for her. I also had a good hormonal cry.

DNiece had a healthy baby boy tonight. Both are doing well.

Another DNiece is schedule to be induced tomorrow if she doesn't go into active labor before. This DNiece is generation #3 of "The 4 generations" that I speak of frequently. The four of them are together almost everyday of the year.

I'm looking forward to meeting both of the new babies!

Testing to see if I can do the gazile and post at the same time, happy to say the battery came out and the pulse speed time counteur is working so that is great news!

Ooh, I haven't been to Santa Fe for so long!!! Trying not to be envious of K and K. . .I really like that town! Enjoy! Enjoy your time there!! Yes, it is pricey; we would camp in the summer -- mostly, E and C's idea since they love camping! And the parks in the mountains above the town are beautiful!. The one time we went for Cmas, we stayed in a hotel that included kitchenettes in each room so we could at least cook our own meals. Cmas there was a lot of fun! At that time, Santa Fe had a fun Cmas Eve? tradition of the public walking from church to church in the middle of the town in the early evening, looking for the Christ child. I think there is singing at each church, and then people from that church join in the parade. At the last church, there is lots of singing, of course, and lots of refreshments - indoors!! And I remember some of the arty shops were open at night, and there were fires in barrels around the downtown area where people would congregate and sing carols together, sometimes spontaneously. I have good memories of Cmas in Santa Fe! I know it's not Cmas now, but it is closer to Cmas than to summertime. ..

I spent too much time on Hebrew, progressed much farther in my translation work than we progressed in class today, so, I have a headstart for next week. Went to Hebrew class. Got dinner on the table. Got kitchen cleaned up with help. Connected with the band director finally. I'm going to go in tomorrow to finish up the last 4 or 5 students who did not get fitted last week.

Dd18 is back from Detroit tutoring. Dd15 is practicing her oboe. Gg is downstairs. I am very sleepy.

Maybe it is a Gazelle, which is (possibly) a treadmill sort of machine. I've never used one, so I'm not 100% positive.

Helia: I could so imagine Christmas Eve here. What a great tradition! Actually, I wonder if it would work in my village with the three churches. We do it on Good Friday but Christmas is so much more tradition bound.

I walked to the grocery store and picked up a few things, including milk, carrots and some fruit.

Dh was done when I got back but they were having wine and chatting so I went down and sat with them. Then we all had dinner together in the hotel.

Both of us are exhausted so may go to bed but I'm tempted to get dh to walk around the square with me so he can have some exercise today. The high altitude is really making walking hard for me but the more I do it, the more I'll remember to breathe deeply as I move around.
