It's my own 'durn' fault. Losing a post that is -I kept putting off disabling my onboard mouse and eventually lost a post. Why do I have to tell my computer I want the external mouse every time I turn it on?
In our mail yesterday was an envelope from Rochester Health Services. Thought to myself it almost looked like a CHECK! Lo' and behold it was -from Roch General Hospital for $65! I suspect it's a refund of the emergency room fee I paid on June 18th (when dh went in for congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation). I argued that I didn't think it was applicable if one was being admitted. But they insisted it was. So I paid it that night. So, now, 6 months later someone must have found the duplication of paid fees. I hadn't even thought to question it since. With all we're (and everyone else) are paying out, I'm happy to save even a little.
Keep checking in to see if Okay has anything, anything at all.

Harriet - hope you and Tobias are reunited soon. Your description of his daily doings made me smile.

I think I remember clicking something to make this happen automatically. I will have to look at settings and let you know if I find something. Why do I have to tell my computer I want the external mouse every time I turn it on?
I use a wireless mouse the majority of the time on my laptop. When I plug in the usb dongle it automatically disables the touchpad.
When I pull the usb wireless mouse dongle out, it automatically enables the touchpad.
hum.....where oh where is that setting?

Re: Wednesday Warm Up
Hmm... I see I haven't been keeping up well with you all. I had to go see what congratulations were for. Now I can add mine!
Congratulations to your dgd18 and dgs12, Sunny! You should be proud!
And is Tobias at the vet? I hope it's not too serious. . . I seem to have missed that too.
Thank you for the kind wishes for Maia. She seems completely back to normal now, but we do have the baby gate up to keep her from going downstairs.
Oh, calendars - I live by my wall calendar. After playing around with various other kinds, I now only use MoreTimeMoms calendars for our family calendar. I LOVE it! And I've probably shared here before. It is large and has large lined spaces for each date and extra space on each month for writing notes. I like seeing a month at a time. Each person in my family is a different color, and the colored pens are in a basket in a drawer underneath it. It hangs on the kitchen wall, right by the entrance where everyone goes, and the kids know to check it and sometimes they write on it their own events - in their own color. Also, it is 16 months, starting in Sept., so it correspond with the school year, which is more the rhythm our family is in, though I usually don't get mine until Oct.

a.m. routine is almost done. I've had coffee/tea with dh and he's off to his office now.

Re: Wednesday Warm Up
Morning y'all....
Well my feet hit the floor running this morning. Did a heavy footprint removal...still have some outdoor decorations around, if it warms up this afternoon I might be able to get to them.
I am doing the last of my Xmas errands today. Will venture out to a much crowded shopping area. I don't mind the crowds, its the drivers in the parking lots that make me crazy.
YIKES!!!! Lawrence and his camels are gonna be arriving at my backdoor with jingle bells around their necks if I don't get some dusting done soon. Think I'll delay them by tossing out a bunch of crunchy carrots
Waving to ya'll. Gotta go, much to do today.

Re: Wednesday Warm Up
Rebooted my computer after doing updates. It was getting way too slow and sure enough, I hadn't rebooted (or updated) since Nov. 19 so that's most likely the reason. I cleared a pile of files off my desktop (I pop documents there when I need a quick place to put them and then decide where to file them later.)
Ok, time to get going on something.
I need to find an extra mouse for the minister's computer. Down to the office storage room I go!

This sat on my computer for a bit. Found another mouse but it is flaky so don't know what to do about that. Hate using a touch pad (but haven't disabled this one yet.)

Re: Wednesday Warm Up
Dee - sorry. I'm not finding the mouse setting on my laptop. Now I'm wondering if I just imagined it?
Doing a google search show plenty of people who have sought and found solutions for disabling touchpad while using mouse. However, the many solutions given seems to be dependent on what brand/model of laptop is being used.

Dee: As OKay said, it isn't obvious under Windows8. I can't seem to disable the touchpad on the HP I'm trying to set up. Sigh....

Re: Wednesday Warm Up
I've been out to my doc already - fasting - for my annual check up. Appt was at 9 a.m. and I was out of there a little past 10 - he is really wonderful and through. They will send results of blood work and urine sample and any follow up info needed. I also went by TMJ dentist to retrieve the overnight mouth guard that I left there yesterday.
I am so happy to have today w/o any other commitments that I'm afraid I'm going to just blow off the rest of the day and relax/goof off altogether.
Tomorrow I will be going after dd and we have a neighborhood Christmas party, and on Friday afternoon/evening I need to go get ds in ATL.
Yesterday I had the TMJ dentist at 8:30, then eyes checked, then small nap. Then I didn't get things done I needed to do for temple meeting last night. Home again around 8 p.m. when I walked ddogs.
First I'm going to finish reading the newspaper.
Helia, I used the same calendar when dkids were younger. Now I use Google calendar, which dh can also access and add events.
Hoping Tobias recovers to full health quickly!

Re: Wednesday Warm Up
Hello Dear Ladies,
Another cold day here for us too. The sun is shining and it is supposed to get above freezing. One can only hope.
Have Dbrother's laundry washing, he'll help me get them in the dryer.
Not doing a whole lot these days, I don't want to make my left arm any worse. And I don't want my right arm to have problems from doing too much trying to take up the slack. The tear in the rotator cuff was caused by bone spurs related to arthritis in my shoulder. I'm wondering now if my right shoulder will end up the same way. I think of Dmom often these days and her battle with arthritis.
Dson's foot is healing but not quickly enough for the December 28th deadline to return to work so called the leave of absence place to see what he is to do. They just took down the info and will get back with him if some form of communication. Could be phone, e-mail or snail mail. I asked which way but the person on the phone didn't know how it was handled.
would love to cook some lunch for the guys but they don't want me to do it. Maybe I can at least make suggestions.
Had a bad dream last night where I showed up for work with my sling on and one of the not so pleasant assistant manager told me to go and unload the truck. Of course I've never unloaded the truck and don't think I'll be asked to but woke up upset anyway.
