Phooey! Phooey!!! PHOOEY!!! This morning, I wrote a nice post to the village and promptly FORGOT to submit it!!! Timed out and lost it.

Where am I? Spinning in circles and going crazy!

Perhaps it's just as well. The post started with complaints: migraine, seriously hurting foot, and stupid infected paper cut! The good thing is that meds have taken care of the first two. The third is more of a nuisance. The only progress I have made today is sorting through emails, sending some emails, and some DPCs. I had lunch with my friend that I was to go to Hawaii with this summer. I had to tell her it couldn't happen due to the job loss. Turned out that she had guessed as much and wanted to put it off until 2015 so she could spend the summer in Italy with family. If I have turned my financial situation around sufficiently, she wants DD11 and I to stay with her in Orlando and we will go to Busch Gardens. Bet you thought I was going to say Disney didn't you! I like BG better. However, we will also do Mouseland, don't worry. She was worried about the car she had borrowed, it only gets driven a few times a year. I checked all her fluids. (I did show her how, but she is pushing 80 and probably will continue to let others take care of it). She needed more transmission fluid.

Tonight's essentials: pay bills, Bible study, make wagon wheels (a type of dessert), dye yarn, figure out and pack the crochet projects I am taking to Mobile, LOLs.

I also want to check out the Dr. Who snowflakes (LOVE the Doctor), and the Star Wars ones too.

Kathryn: Thanks for the reminder on the mortgage insurance. I have put it on the Pending list so it will not be forgotten.

Okay: Maybe I am the only one, but I love Chuck E Cheese. I get to hang out and crochet, while DD and her friends play. Of course, I also like playscapes like the ones at McD's, malls, and Chick Fil A. It was a sad day when she outgrew them.

And NOW I will make doubly darn sure I hit SUBMIT so I don't have to type out all those PHOOEYs again!

Elizabeth I would love to hear more about dying yarn. What kind of fiber, what kind of dye, what process do tell.
I did some of that when I was in the spinning and weaving guild.

I am back in from raking leaves and doing yd. work next door. The hens had recess too.

H. Called and said he was working late. Dd called to give me a heads up that dgson is coming here after school. I am glad that I got some inside stuff done. The neightbor is talking about having regular craft meetings at her house and loves the ideas of 15 min. Timed actives. How do you that are teachers recomend for home work 15 min. Segments? Is it true that gaming makes add worse why how? Boy I am full of questions today.]

Dgson a no show today. Hen chores done. It is raining out now just a bit.

(((LucyLee)))) Thank you!! I totally agree this is a very special village.

Elizabeth - I'm glad you and DD enjoy CeC. It is obviously a favorite place of many.

I found a groove and worked hour after hour on paperwork without hardly looking up. I made good progress, Now my oldest paperwork waiting to be processed is from August 3rd so I'm over 1/2 way done with the year. Hum....it has taken 12 months to process 7 months of papers. However, I didn't finish up last years papers until the 2nd quarter and didn't implement my current paperwork system until 30 June, so if I look at it from that date perspective, I can see some improvement.

Cards due today = 12
# Cards completed 86
'% Cards completed = 88%
Papers processed = 146
Healthy Habits completed = 79%

Happy Birthday, Elle! I miss seeing your posts here.

Helia, stay safe in the coming ice storm. Hope you can avoid having to drive anywhere at that time.

Sadie, I'm glad you will have a holiday dinner at work. Our stores here and the Sam's Clubs do that for us also.

Twins, I'm sorry you have had some rough days lately. Better days are coming!

OKay, WTG on all your paperwork!

Dee, It's good to hear that your dgd is making progress. Re: dust....we have a lot of dust in our house. I think the dogs bring a lot of the fine sandy dust in on their feet and fur; also we have the old jalousie style windows that are probably not as airtight as they should be. I have to dust surfaces and vacuum 2 or 3 times a week.

We had a very nice weekend with ds#3 and dgs12. They came Friday evening after dgs's last game. His team lost their game on Wed., so the game on Fri. was for 3rd place national championship. Dgs was disappointed, of course, but then it's not so bad to be 3rd place in the nation! We had lunch at Cracker Barrel with his other dgrampa (who picked up the check for everyone!) and then did some shopping. After supper dfam#2 came in to visit. I'm always glad when our dsons can get together. It is important to me that they stay close and that all the dcousins stay close with each other. Ds and dgs left for home early Sun. morning.

I still have a little shopping to do for a couple of dgkids and a few cards to address, but the rest is mostly done. I will have weekly routine to do one more time before the holiday. I don't think anyone will be here on Christmas day and I think we will be going to dfam#1 for the afternoon. I think our days of hosting the whole family are done. Lucy, I think things will turn out good for you as the hostess for your dfamily.

I'd better post this now before I lose it. There is a delay for everything I type and also when I change pages or move the lines down on a page. What's up with that?!!!

I dusted the rooms in the house, am tired now, and wonder where my energy got up and went to.

We got about 5 cards today, which was nice. :)

I'm getting ready to "see" if there's any laundry to do and want to read my "Prevention" magazine, too.

The rest of the week seems to be busier for us, but getting the house dust mopped and toilets cleaned will be nice. We're sort of doing a Conga spread out over several days, so as we trek into Christmas Eve, the house will be clean, we can relax, and need not be overly "concerned" with housework, etc... :) :)

A book I was looking to be delivered here, at the house today, ended up being delivered to the USPS instead, so it'll be in the mailbox tomorrow. I want to read on it right away.

I didn't make myself the scarf yet, am still mulling around if it'd be good on my figure or better on DD's shape. :?: I'm not as fond of the color as I feel she might be. :?:

I cleaned the office, put away a file from a submission this week, twice, to a kids' magazine, so the office is somewhat looking like a writer lives in it again. I just don't know how to handle that, when I'm working. :?:  Oh, well. There are worst things in the world than a working office in a bit of disorganized mayhem. :o It's not THAT bad, but it wouldn't be good in a home beautiful magazine. Maybe as a "before" photo. :?:  Honestly, it's a very warm and cozy room, I know where to find everything, and I love being in here, so I guess it doesn't need to be perfect and what's perfection anyway? It's MY room, which means the world to me, too. I love the family photos and other endearments in it, too. Golly. Now I'm gushing. ♥

I hope everyone had a Where Are You? Wednesday. I'm in between delivering gifts and getting a clean house while slowly making goal plans for the New Year. That's where I am, exactly. Where are you? :?:

I am Home. Exhausted.

I was out for 5 hours. It is snowing hard in the city but when I went to see how much fell on dh's shoveled-this-morning walkway, nothing.

I spent some money on myself but not too much. I wanted a lamp for my desk, different than the one I had. I'll try one from IKEA form $7. And I picked up a 2014/15 calendar at the church supply store. Got the boys study Bibles (their mom was going to but when I heard that, I asked if I could.) Spent a pleasant 40 minutes or so going over the choices. They are a bit young age-wise but not question wise so I want to encourage lots and lots of questions.

Didn't have much luck at Walmart but got the potatoes which were the main reason for the visit, plus 9 other items (some of which may be returned if I can find a better option elsewhere.) The lineup at the 12 or less cash was HUGE. By the time I connected my phone to McD's wifi and pulled up the SHE boards, I only had time to read a few posts because it was moving so fast. So that was a bonus.

I still need to put away the groceries and then head straight to bed. I'm fighting an eye inflammation and today I'm losing (yesterday was very good and it was almost healed.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLYPHANT! I miss your posts.

Today dd2 and I left my house at 9 am to go Christmas shopping and were back at 4. I am wore out. I still need a few things, so after buying groceries tomorrow, I will work on that.

Tomorrow night dd2 is having dgs7s birthday party. His birthday is Friday but that is the day they go back to their dads for his week.

Friday is the last day of school until Jan. 7.

Well I couldn't answer the Where are you questions because I was at work ...

Nancy ...I have a link that might help answer some of your questions. You can google more for information.

Okay...when my son was about 3 he stuck a piece of pop corn kernel up his nose while we were at a baseball game. The EMT guy was going to get it out, but my girlfriend was able to use her long fingernails to do it. The EMT guy just laughed and said he'd pulled many strange pieces out of the noses and ears of plenty of people. The same friend told me that when she was a small girl she stuck a bean up her nose and it was in there so long it sprouted. Took an xray to show what her problem was.

Thank you Lucylee for you kind words... I feel exactly the same way.

Yikes... My sheets are still not dry...Need to reboot so we have something to sleep on.

Waving to y'all....

Dgd2 put a S kittle up her nose the Sunday after Halloween. Dd2 rushed her to the ER because she thought she had blood running from her nose. Turns out it was the S kittle melting and dd2 didn't realize at the time that it was red. As she was waiting to fill out paperwork, she noticed something round and pink trying to come out of dgd2s nose. The nurse looked up there and seen nothing else, so they sent her on her way. When asked why she did that, dgd2s answer was "because".

I finally have dms package ready to mail. It has stocking stuffers from both dds and I plus I put a check in there and dd2 sent a gift card. I have to mail it first thing. I wanted to do it this morning but dd2 hadn't bought the gift card yet. I also need to mail my cards.

Hello everybody. I'm in a whirlwind, that's where I am. Yep an absolute whirwind.

The light at the end of the tunnel moved away and got dimmer even with all my work.

I can't remember when I was last here. I'm sorry I can't join in much these days, I miss it. All day Tuesday, off and on, I baked cookies. Tuesday night our committee had a little Christmas get-together. It was so dark driving out there and I'd never been to this woman's house. I had to keep telling myself, "you're an adult, you can do this, you can take yourself out by yourself in the dark and go new places, you can do it..." really I had to keep saying that. I don't think I see as well as I used to driving at night. I was having a hard time reading the street signs. But I made it and had a nice time.

Today I cleaned up my desk. It was really piled up. Had to write another small batch of Christmas cards and send, people who usually don't send, one who moved and I didn't have her address, and one who wrote a letter and I had to stop and answer. So got that done and bills paid.

Another batch of shopping done. I thought I was all done except tonight I remembered one other couple who will be there and I have no idea what to buy them. I picked up stencils to re-letter the mailbox. I cleaned it off and peeled off the old cracked letters and DH painted it again weeks ago.

Also got a small flower arrangement for my lady in the nursing home and drove down there to see her and take a Christmas card too. I wanted to get there before the holiday. She's always so happy to see me. The traffic on the roads is awful and it took a long while to get there.

I finished the last batch of cookies and got them all boxed up to give and put them in the freezer. I don't care if I NEVER see a cookie again. That was a ridiculous amount of work. I don't know how Sunny's DH does it year after year. My mini-lady locks mostly fell apart (too short) and my brand new icing thing with tip also fell apart...not making those again, ever! Course the whole kitchen needed a good cleaning, and that's done...and I had to get chicken out of the freezer to make room for the cookies..

Sorry this got long. I'm stiff and sore, sure need to rest now. Maybe tomorrow will be quieter...ah, no I need to do all that wrapping...DH wanted to dig up a few ceramic tile in the house that needs replacing, with all the dust that will make... yep right now he wanted to do it...
