Dishes are done up except for dishwasher.
Discovered dh didn't flip the laundry for me while I was out so there is a load of wet towels now waiting for the power to come back on. I've turned off all lights now except for dh's office and the outside Christmas lights (OKay dh said to be sure to tell Mr. Okay we are a beacon of light in a sea of darkness once more and we're sure the neighbours are saying, "Those InCanada's showing off their generator!) The snow is 2.5' deep between the kitchen balcony door and the plug so we won't bother turning them off.
The balcony snowflake lights are bright enough that I have enough light to work at the kitchen table (with the addition of 2 candles.) I've lit a candle in the living room and the family room so there's enough light to navigate through without a flashlight.
The working electric plugs and lights are concentrated in the addition of the house so the kitchen and office are fully functional and one circuit (for the fireplace fan) so there is a light in the family room that will work and one plug in the dining room as well.
Lower main floor has nothing except the bathroom. In a pinch, we can run an extension cord to the living room next to the bathroom. Bedroom level is the same, only the bathrooms have power.
Moot point anyway as the power has just come on, although the generator is still running as it waits to make sure the power is reliable. Ahhhhh, peace and quiet now.

Re: Simply Sunday
Dh just started the dryer and is blowing out the extra candles. I'm tempted to leave the ones on in the kitchen because it is so peaceful here.

Re: Simply Sunday
(((OKays))) and MPB equipment. I hope something can be sorted quickly. Prayers continuing for smooth day - for your tomorrow.
Glad to be of service Kathryn.
ouch to power loss.
Holiday call to DM done - at length. I heard all the news from there abouts.
I will take that rest next. I have found a timer that counts in hours and minutes so that is pressed into service today for otd time. I'll take it to bed with me incase I totally drop off.
I may well just resort to buying bags to put dgds' gifts in - save a lot of wrapping. I need work out - maybe appropriate bags for the store cards so they don't get lost in a mess of paper.
Nice to think of you lit by snowflake lights and candle KiC's

Re: Simply Sunday
I'm tired. I thought Nancy was napping on the gazelle. I was impressed by her multi-tasking ability!
I emailed ds his present (cash transfer) and he phoned to say thank you. He didn't get the job he applied for so isn't sure what is next for him. He doesn't think it is worth looking for a job between Christmas and New Years but I told him to keep his eye out. Nothing is on the board for backpackers but one never can tell.
I'm off to bed now. Dishwasher is running. Dryer is done. I still need to finish cleaning the hot water pot, though.

Re: Simply Sunday
I'm washing towels, am slowly planning out tomorrow, we measured dgd so I can crochet leg warmers & a hat for her 1/8/14 First B-day.
DD will come Christmas. Dgrson will be at his dad's, (they're divorced) and DD has no place to go. It'll be nice for her to come.
It was so funny how DD gave Ddil an infinity scarf, and Ddil made me and DD infinity scarves, too! So coincidental!
We had many Seahawks fans' cars passing us going up, to the big game in Seattle, but we beat them (game was still going)
I hope everyone enjoyed their Simply Sunday here, too. Goodnight.
