Re: Christmas Eve Tuesday
Although I was busy all day yesterday, I did not get all the cleaning done. I will work on it this morning with a cut off time. At that point, if it's not done, it won't get done. I will need to shower, etc. and start concentrating on tonight's meal.
Guess I better get started, that clock is ticking.

Re: Christmas Eve Tuesday
Awake here also. I said last night I was appalled by what was undone - I think that because we don't "celebrate" Christmas I tend to wing it and end up like today.
Li&t from last night:
Cash for dmom for her Christmas gifts
Cards for dmom to use
Gift for dmom
Visit dmom today w cash
gift for friends that we will see tomorrow afternoon
write for temple bulletin (yes, still haven't done)
some cash for me for dnephews and famiies
respond to several emails, some could wait until later today
write notes to two large donors (actually debating handwritten vs formal letter?)
home routines, et al
What else?
For now I am changing clothes, washing face and teeth and heading out for the running part of the day on the early side.

Re: Christmas Eve Tuesday
Its 11.29pm on Christmas Eve here at dd's house. My email has been locked up and won't let me access it. I had thought to send some emails for Christmas - late I know.
I needed a chat room today to babystep my way this morning and get packed and out the door. Wrapped gifts here.
Tonight we had roast turkey and veg for family meal. Tomorrow other dd and family visit gifts and meal /s? dd#2 is a hostess that I never was.
I need to shower and finish bbr. Please pray I sleep here. Its usually a problem and I shouldn;t drive home after 3 nights here and very little sleep,
Merry Christmas everyone.
I keep smiling about OKay's family Christmas gift. Congratulations on a forever family for LO.

Re: Christmas Eve Tuesday
H. Has a rash on his back, I am relieved that it is not shingles. I am feeling better physically but. Not emotionally.
H. Got cards ready for the crew at work last night to take with today.
Whining alert: no christmas for us we were going to get another tv for the basement but h. Said that funds will be diverted to
fixing the truck.
Not sure that the turkey is not thawed out enough to cook it today for dd's thing tonight.
So maybe applying lessons in the Joel O. book I am reading.
We are already one degree above the high temp. Today.

Coffee is done up on time.

Re: Christmas Eve Tuesday
Dh is filling in the BBM consumer survey (a follow on to our radio listening survey from the fall.) He's appalled at how 'boring' his life is. And the shopping bit is easy. Since we are giving no gifts to each other, he hasn't bought a 'thing' for months, just groceries and take-out food. No clothes this year and in fact, there were long lists of places he never entered (like a department store.) The last 'thing' he bought was the cartridge to fix our washerless faucet in the kitchen! Pretty boring stuff!
I've finished the service for tonight. CM dropped off the bacon and a gift she had picked up for me to give the youngest. I gave her a copy of the service so she can review it in her 'spare' time today!
I'm ready to head over to the church and then to pick up groceries. Just waiting on dh now to finish the survey. It is comprehensive and took me 90 minutes to do.

Re: Christmas Eve Tuesday
Good morning, villagers ~
Merry Christmas Eve!
Yesterday the morning DJ was trying to explain what this week's work schedule feels like. Because of the holiday in the middle of the week, it's Monday-Friday-Sunday-Thursday-Friday-regular weekend. That makes this 1 of 2 Conga Fridays!
Then we repeat again next week.
I'm dancing slowly today but trying to make steady progress.
I made the fudge last night before bed. I'll cut it in a little while. I don't have a pretty container for it, so will wrap a small ice cream tub in Christmas paper. It's 2 pounds of fudge, I only made 1 batch. I usually keep a few pieces here at home and take all the rest to DSis's. Various family members fill snack bags with as much as they want, which leaves DSis with enough for her visitors the rest of the week. I like the way it works out, that I get to have a little bit but don't have to worry about having the whole 2 pounds sitting around my house (or sitting around my hips).
We are still hoping that DH will only have to work until noon today, or at worst until 2. He'll need to shower and rest a bit before we head up to have supper with the family.
I need to start cooking at 2 to be sure the cheesy nacho dip will have enough time in the crock pot.
My coffee cup is empty, so it's time to get back to the Conga line.
