I was surprised at how easy it was to get around today. Went to the dept store and the Hallmark store in the mall closest to home, to the bank and drugstore and home again. I need to get to dmom's this afternoon, just talked to her on the phone.

I feel bad about not visiting my dsis this week so am possibly taking dmom on Thursday (if she doesn't back out) and then dniece (her dil) and kids next week.

I'm finally getting here at 12:20. I haven't done the a.m. routine -- but I've been busy!!

((nancy)) That must be disappointing.

- got up around 8:30 after going to bed well at 12:45 a.m.
- pulled out some leftover chili from the freezer for a quick and easy meal for tonight.
- went w/ dh to drop off kids' car; they were slow today and so could take it last minute. Yay!
- coffee w/ dh in coffee shop in new shopping area near us; we both needed to be somewhere by 10 a.m. so we kept it short. It was nice to chat and connect away from the busyness and sometimes chaos of our house. (With 4 teens, a lab puppy, an older lab dog, etc. - and kids' friends coming and going our home is often not very peaceful. But I'm learning to enjoy these days as they will pass far too quickly.)
- went next door to Urban Toddler and bought a cute (and overpriced. . .) onesie for baby J
- went to the honeybaked ham store; got there at 10:23, 23 minutes after they had opened. I stood in line for 10 minutes; the line was out the door by the time I left.
- went to groc. store for last minute items for dinner tomorrow. And milk. Ds drinks a lot of milk.
- unloaded and put away everything in the car.
- While I was outside, I threw Maia's kong for her several times, which she just loved! She is a decent retriever.
- emptied half the dw
- chatted with dd18's (and dd15's) friend who came over. She put together a scavenger hunt around town for dd18's Cmas present. Dd15 and dd18 are now away in my van on that scavenger hunt. (She took dd15 on the hunt earlier so dd15 knows where everything is.) The friend is now here working on making a part of dd18's present.
- fielded phone calls and got ds prepped to go pick up the car. This garage is walking distance from our house. So convenient!
- I forgot to give ds my cc, so he paid for it. When he got home, we figured out how to transfer the $$ from my account to his. We JUST finished that.
- While doing the last 3, I ate some lunch.

I still am not s2s-ed. Well, I threw on yesterday's clothes and brushed my teeth before rushing out the door this morning.

We have a backlog of dishes from celebration last night, maybe even from dd18's bday celebrations Friday night. . . I mean the backlog started then, not that we have dishes from Friday sitting on our counter. We don't have enough dishes to do that, not with 6+ people to feed each day!

Most of us are going to go see Frozen this afternoon. My friend B is going to meet us at the theater!! Dh is working so he won't join us. Before I go, I do need to:
- s2s properly
- check on cinnamon roll recipe. . . .
- put chili in the crock pot
- take care of the kitchen

Church service tonight at 7.

I also need to email forms for GG to travel with us; they're all filled out, and I've contacted the appropriate oganizational authorities. I just need help scanning and emailing. Dh is too busy to help much. . . Maybe later this evening.

I'm off to s2s now.

(((Nancy))) Maybe you and dh can have a little celebration later, like Christmas in April or something. ;)

Lilac -- I'm right there with you -- gotta get a little more cleaning done, but at some point, if it's done, it's done, and if not... well... all right.

Waving to ALL... wishing you a very merry Christmas. May God bless each of you in special ways during this holiday season.
Tomorrow is another day.

Very short nap.

I feel particularly ADD today with dkids underfoot. Every time I start something I'm getting interrupted, but it's still nice to have them around. We decided on the nicer of the two restaurants for dinner tonight and I called for a reservation.

Need to head out to dmom's in 50 min and ds is going to go with me.
-clean out front seat of car
-fix up gift for dmom
-start with a.m. routine not done earlier

Helia, this.
Ds drinks a lot of milk.

I didn't mop the kitchen floor. I have been making so many messes that I clean up as I go, I decided to not waste my time.

I appear to be 90 minutes ahead of schedule. There may be time for a nap today.

Home from errands. Mail is picked up (no present for CM). There were three parcels for us but not the one I wanted!

Church is set up for the service and the amp and mikes are in place.

Went to grocery store. No cider but I got everything else. We'll improvise with apple juice (it was for mulling.)

Picked up a wrist splint for me from the pharmacy. While there, dh asked about flu shots and they were giving them so we got them.

Delivered the cards to people we won't see tonight.

I'm heating up some soup for my lunch now. Dinner is at 4 so won't be eating much!

Theme song now playing:
Roar! / Eye of the Tiger by Katie Perry. I am not quite sure of the exact title. That is exactly how I feel!

The hens helped hold the blow dryer to thaw the turkey so they did not become dinner. LOL! Turkey is in the oven now. Onions got left I the car I got a ride with yesterday so I went back to what I used to do an apple! Tweaked it by adding a pinch of thyme from the garden to.

I have had lunch & am taking a break coffee is on now.
I have issues but at least know what they are.

Dgs will be here early I think so the meal has been pushed up even more. We will eat what is done when it is done. Forgot olives yesterday sigh- oh well it is an notthe end of the world.
