Merry Christmas!

I thought Twin's birthday was today but missed it yesterday.

On the other hand, I'm glad Norma's hasn't been missed.

Ds called just as I was about to post before church so he got top priority. He had an excellent Christmas night. They had 12 in total and the table was heavily ladened with food. They barely had enough plates for everyone/thing so things like the french bread were served in a pot! After dinner ds and his friend were excused from cleanup since they had done most of the cooking and once that was done, everyone settled down to play party games. He said at the first taste of turkey it finally felt like Christmas and sounded very happy when we talked to him (he was much more subdued when we talked to him on his Christmas morning.)

My church service went well. I had 13 so fewer than the late service last night but not too small a crowd and better than on Thanksgiving (probably because that was in the afternoon and this was before families came and picked up their senior's.)

Now to call dd and dsil.

Good morning, village friends, and a Merry Christmas to all of you!

The family party last night was lots of fun. 2yo great-nieces learned how to play Ring Around a Rosie and the rest of the time, *A* kept going up to everyone wanting to All Fall Down! She didn't care if anyone else fell down, she just wanted us to say the words so she could fall down.

We also went to DMIL's to deliver her gift, and ran into DH's favorite DB and his family. A very nice visit.

Unfortunately, DSis posted on FB this morning that she was sick all night and thinks she has norovirus. Eeek! counting how many times we hugged, and how many times I hugged other people that she had hugged ...

DH and I have no plans to go anywhere today, and I might just stay in my nice warm PJs all day.

* I think there is normal trash pickup tomorrow morning, those chores still need to be done.

* The crock pot was a mess last night from the cheesy nacho dip. I soaked it overnight but it still needs scrubbing so I am soaking it again. (DSis uses plastic crock pot liners so she doesn't have to scrub, but I think they're expensive and I'm too frugal to buy them.)

* Need to wash the outfit I wore last night because it has to hang dry. I will wear the long black skirt & leggings to the funeral home visitation for my friend Friday evening. Not sure about the sweater, it is pretty enough and not too bright of a color, but not very warm.

* Round robin declutter in each room. I'm seeing things that are out of their homes that will be quick & easy to put away.

* Sew darts in the back waistband of my gray wool pants; the hips are fine but the waist is too big. Mend the hole in the pocket of DH's black pants.

My coffee cup is empty ... BBL.

I was up around 9 a.m. - slept last night for first time with CPAP and it was okay. May need to adjust mask as it felt leaky at times but on the whole probably slept okay, especially since I slept so late!

I finished temple bulletin article and got it off, and we went out for nice dinner. Very fun - everyone on good behavior and we sat at a long table in front of the glowing fireplace. We were nearly the last people out of the restaurant but I think there were some in other areas that were still there when we left. Very good visit with Z and nice dinner. I think that all of us brought home boxes because the portions were so large.

I'm so happy to not have a bunch of to-dos on my schedule for the day. We will go to dfriends for dinner tonight around 6:30 and other than that the day is wide open. Might make challah to take to them but have small gift to put together also.

-start a lol
-clear/wipe kitchen counters
-clear kitchen table and breakfast bar (kitchen table has borne the brunt of items coming in to the house recently)
-refill meds containers and take meds/vitamins
-brush floss teeth, wash face and get dressed to take out ddogs next

Kathryn, I too thought that Twins birthday was today. So Happy Belated Birthday Twins and Happy Birthday Norma!

We had a wonderful evening with our daughters and their families plus dgd17s bf. We ate, then did gifts, had dessert and then did stocking stuffers. It was 10:30 or so when everyone left. Dh fell asleep and I stayed up and cleaned up the kitchen. I loaded the dw and ran it plus hand washed a lot of things. When I woke up this morning, I was so glad that I had stayed up and done the kitchen and didn't have to face it this am.

The 3 slabs of ribs are marinating. I need to fix potato salad and deviled eggs to go with them. I am fixing cheesey potatoes also because not everyone likes potato salad.

Guess I better get started.

Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you for my birthday greetings. I too was thinking Twins and I shared this day. Sorry, and a belated birthday greeting Twins.

This is a very clear and beautiful day in Apache Junction, AZ. Is supposed to be 70+ here in the Valley of the Sun. Am looking forward to Christmas dinner with our friends whom I went through school with and Cowinkie and Sweetie and her dson. It has been a fun week leading up to the big day. We spent Monday with our Monday Lunch Bunch and then some scattered to be with family.

Have done all except the last, to clean up and get ready to walk ddogs so....
-change clothes, wash face, brush teeth

-make the bed
-reboot laundry
-process 10 pieces of paper

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

DD is on her way down, is bringing books, a lot of classics, too. We'll visit, we'll eat a pork roast dinner, and enjoy each others company.

It's nice to have the house clean and our work all done. It was foggy here, will be a dry day, and later we get some sunshine.

Twins', I heard that people sleep so much better with their CPAP on.
