Hi everyone!

I went to S taples/B usiness D epot earlier. Because I was wearing my red Christmas sweater, I had 7 or 8 people come up to me and start asking for things. The employees in that store all wear blue shirts other than the computer techs, so I don't know what was up with that. I spent way too much money.

I had fun. :D

CathyS - I'm trying to peek through the screen to see what you brought home in your bag. The only stores I love shopping are what I call "paper stores" Staples/office depot

MT - I miss you too!!!!!!

i woke up from the nap and just don't feel like doing anything. My tummy is a little upset and I just feel like I've hit the wall this week. Made arrangements for someone else to do announcements tonight and I'l taking the night off altogether. I think I'm not physically sick just emotional and needing some solitude.

Stressful day yesterday - dsis is not doing well, we arrived as she was having her afternoon cigarette and she was out of it from low oxygen. Dmom wasn't sure she even knew her and dbro in the beginning. We got her out for ice cream and a short drive. She and dmom are both unsteady on their feet. Dsis kept asking if she could have one of dbro's cigarettes and I kept telling her no. Between dmom not hearing and dbro just about coughing up a lung in the backseat it was a long ride. He smokes too much and the smell of it on him after he smoked kept me coughing.

Dsis is sad, she was so much better last summer. I think dmom was quite disappointed. Dbro only commented that he had seen her much worse.

(((((Twins' Mom))))), I read how your visit with your dsis, along with dbro and your dmom went. Also, how you're needing some solitude. I think you deserve it, after the visit, which is emotionally draining or can be. I hope you get some rest, can take time for yourself to relax and regroup, too. Visiting family members can be stressful. :(

CathyS, What did you get at the "paper store"? :?: Just too funny/comical how people were asking you for help, too!

OKay, I love paper stores, too. ;)

Harmony, You got some important things done! :!:

Sherinjoy, I, also, wonder about MT. But realize how internet can always be a problem, too. Let's hope it's not something to do with her health or her DH's health, how the family is fine, they're busy and it might be an internet connection problem. I hate worrying about her. I guess good thoughts, positive energy, and a prayer, would help.

DONE:
- s2s, am wearing a purple infinity scarf Ddil made me.
- Downloaded a free new Nook book.
- Worked on my calendar.
- Printed a personal email from a colleague on writing, which was about writing, and I'll review it.
- Replied to 3 emails.
- Watched HGTV with DH.
- Did QT, prayers, journals, etc....
- Sorted laundry, started a load, more to go.
- Sorted mail, very little came.
- Tidied my end table a bit.
- Put away my nightgown and robe, Under Armor.
- Put dirty laundry into the utility room.
- Fixed coffee this a.m. for us.
- Got out a book to read on.
- Did yoga, stretching, and walked 15 minutes. (Will walk again later.)

Have a nice later afternoon, Everyone. :D I can't believe this is the last Friday of the year, but my wall calendar says so, too! I just don't "feel" it emotionally or intellectually! :!:

Some portable file holders. (They have 13 slots and they are NOT pre-labeled. The ones I wanted already had a letter on the left side and a phrase on the right... "A" through to "Z" and various titles like "Insurance" and "Utilities" etc.) These ones are thinner. I will be labeling each slot with months (already in progress) and there will also be a year label on the outside. 2013 and 2014 are both under construction. Because I will have to keep a very close eye on my expenses and other things in the next few years, I have to get ahead of the game.

I also bought a box of 250  envelopes that have the adhesive strip ready to go when you peel off the thing... I will have to keep closer track of credit card receipts and gas receipts starting ASAP/yesterday. The box of 250 was a better deal than 100. I also have gas receipts going back a few (ahem) years. I should corral them. :D

Suddenly picturing a rope twirling over the quivering piles of gas receipts.

I also bought a few packages of B rother P T ouch black labels so I can go label-making crazy.

A large calculator because Mike and I have old eyes and my other calculator is close to 20 years old and the keys are starting to stick. T exas I nstruments make great calculators.

A really nice black "in" box for my desk. It is wooden. I wanted to replace the old, yellowing plastic one.

2 black clipboards. 5 B ounty chocolate bars. I can't think of what else I got in there. I got 2 black t shirts at T arget. My only other black t shirt is very faded and has some tiny holes around the neck.

I also took some A leve to a pharmacy so that they can dispose of them properly. They gave me nose bleeds, so I stopped using them.

Very smart choices at the store, Cathy. I love stuff like that. I have an A-Z accordion which I use to keep insurance certificates from our subs. I have another accordion with 5 unmarked pockets I use with marked file folders inside: this one is my year-in-a-folder for my CPA!

We had a great dinner. I got out the turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes I froze in a container from Thanksgiving, added green beans and it was delicious with no fuss. I knew if I waited a bit I'd find a day to really enjoy that.

(Twins) you get a gold star for taking your DMom and DBro to see your DSis.

Have a nice night everyone!

Struggling here with my wrist. I have to write but I can't due to discomfort. I do need a sermon for Sunday though and we are planning a movie tomorrow. Actually, I won't be going to the same movie as the others but I'll go to a movie and they'll go to a movie and then we'll go out for dinner afterwards.

Kathryn, Do you have a wrist brace to use? :?: Mine helps me.

I was in the recliner, getting drowsy, and asked DH to bring my thick warm blanket on the top of my side of the bed. He did. :) But I accidentally fell asleep for 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours, it's now 10:55 p.m., I'm wide awake, and don't know when I'll be going to bed. I feel like a school kid on Christmas break, getting their sleep all messed up before New Year's Day and then school begins again!  I've set my dawn simulator to "dawn" between 9:15 - 9:30 a.m., but after tomorrow, I'll start setting it 10 minutes earlier and earlier so I can get back to it dawning between 8:15 - 8:30 a.m. I realize going to bed before midnight - 1 a.m. helps, too! So I'll slowly wean myself back down to going to bed between 10:30 - 11:30 p.m., too. I can't stay messed up. If there was a morning appt. in the New Year, I'd walk in as a zombie.

I'm working on a letter to DD, need to write a well thought out to do list, and sort my cards, too. So it's good I'm alert enough to do this, not too overly tired tonight to get it done. :D

I have a few hand towels to fold and put away, the dried socks and underwear are in the dryer, but my kitty cat's in bed in the utility room now. I'll put folding socks and undies on the list for morning, too. I plan to try a dump and bake cake tomorrow, too. If it works well, I'll pick another recipe to try for my b-day.

I also need to crochet dgd's leg warmers and matching hat. I'm procrastinating on it, need to write stories, read stories, which were published, etc... I'm glad there are extra lines on my to do list, so I'll put them to good use. Also, a OMM list on an index card would be good. I also remembered, how I've got those hugest size index cards, which are about 8" x 10", so those would be wonderful as OMM cards, too. Rather large, but could get a LOT on it, and what makes it even more better is the fact, it'll take 1 of the big size compared to 3 or 4 smaller OMM's to sort through, get lost, etc... So I'm off to grab a huge OMM card now, too.

And the 28th is the LAST Saturday of the year, too! :!: :o It's been such a quick year! I love New Year's Eve at home, watching the fireworks from the Space Needle on TV and getting that New Year's kiss from DH.
