Dh reports that my white hairs are less white and they blend in more with the non-white hairs. I took shots but without controlled lighting you can't really determine the success. My hair looks a lot lighter than my last photos in front of the mirror but that was in 2012 and the lighting in the bathroom would be different since it was summer light vs. winter light.
Lighting is a big issue - sometimes I look really grey at home, other times you can hardly see any grey hair. Depends on how much sun or bright light there is.
Anyway, I'm not freaked out by strange colours so that is good. Glad I didn't go with traditional henna shades because the grey hair did take the blonde colour some, which is fine, but with traditional henna, those hairs would have turned pink.
Now to get back to work again.
HAPPY NEW YEAR WEDNESDAY!

Re: HI APPY NEW YEAR WEDNESDAY!
Happy new year everyone!
I went outside and cleared the remaining ice and snow off of my dd's car. She is picking it up today to go visit a friend in New York. I had it running the entire time, so it's almost warmed up. There was more than an inch of solid ice on some parts.
Brrr!!!

Happy New Year!
It is raining here today, temp is only 60*.
It is always nice to watch the Rose Parade each year, but some of these floats are amazing. Dh is checking out which bowl games are playing.
Sadie, best wishes for your upcoming surgery.
Nancy, glad you were able to get your bs back up.
Helia, sounds like you have a nice year planned.
BookSaver, good luck with your 3 x 5 card file and projects this year.
Kathryn, sounds like you chose a nice color for your hair.
Lynlee, have a nice day at the museum.
Dee, have a nice visit with db.
Lunch is done and kitchen cleaned up again, pork roast is in slow cooker.
Waving hi to everyone!

I'm trying to catch up on snail mail and crochet baby girl leg warmers today. I'll baby step the day, would love to work on my cards, too.
Your hair sounds nice, Kathryn.
(((Dee))), I hope your bs comes back down for you. My DH is diabetic, too.
Sadie, Good luck on surgery day. (I replied to your PM.)

(((Dee & Nancy)))) take care. I'm glad your both experienced and know how to respond to BS
We are enjoying a break in winter weather with a sunny & gorgeous day. LO flew a kite (Christmas gift) for the first time ever. After just a few minutes of instructions and a little help getting the kite launched, LO solo'd the rest of the time flying the kite and loved every moment.
I've started 2 books in the last 2 days. One book is paperbased and the other is on Kindle. Both of the books are calling me to return to them.

Re: HI APPY NEW YEAR WEDNESDAY!
I have fed hens & let them out to non frozen pasture.
H. Did a couple of rounds of shredding not at all happy about doing that today but it is good to be done.
I have 2 more loaves of the same kind of bread in the oven, it will go in the freezer when it is done house smells so yummy, hens enjoyed their corn bread I am still working on using up some milk past its prime.
ex. Bike, gazelle, journaling. X

I had to read through a couple of posts to discover that "BS" meant blood sugar. Not...

Re: HI APPY NEW YEAR WEDNESDAY!
I don't think I posted earlier today.
Yesterday's trip to see dsis went well and they have further limited her tobacco intake and she was more cognizant and together. My nephew and his wife and two little girls were pleasant travel companions and the little girls incredibly well behaved. I got in around 8 p.m last night and around 9 went to dfriends' for new years. A little too much champagne but nice evening with friends; we got home around 12:20 probably.
I slept in and we have just taken it easy today. Walked the dogs in the sunshine this afternoon, very nice.
I'm playing time slot tetris with the rest of the week....want to go to IKEA in ATL with dd tomorrow, then to a community near K-town tomorrow evening with dh for a funeral visitation. I'd could go to the funeral on Friday a.m. but probably will not and I'm feelin' like maybe I should but I can't decide. Friday need to see dmom then Fri night services, and Sat a.m. a bar mitzvah and Macs' PT. Sunday evening we are entertaining and I need to do a substantial amount of cooking between now and then. I'm planning to make two kinds of lasagne - a meat/cheese and veggie lasagne. That will take care of vegetarians and the rabbi and his wife who eat kosher style (no meat/cheese together) but I might need to add something gluten free? Otherwise I'll have the two lasagnes, salad and bread, buy a dessert probably and have a couple of appetizers.

Re: HI APPY NEW YEAR WEDNESDAY!
It has been a depressing afternoon as I tried on clothes for the cruise. My sari no longer fits (the blouse is too small) so that no-fail formal outfit won't be coming. None of my gowns fit so I'm left with my palazzo pants and three tops. One top also makes my travel dress borderline formal. So that makes 4 outfits for 5 formal nights and nothing is stunning or unusual.
Not one of my pairs of capris fit. Nor do my summer weight trousers. I only have black jeans which won't do for summer. So I have no day-to-day outfits to wear except skirts.
My weight is completely out of control and I'm very upset at this moment. I have one half day to buy basic pieces to put together a wardrobe. Tomorrow will be a very busy day.
I'm filling in my outfit calculator now to see how bad the situation is. Dh has just started making dinner. I'm starving and wanting to starve myself simultaneously.

Re: HI APPY NEW YEAR WEDNESDAY!
((Kathryn)) I myself am at a higher weight, and several here have mentioned they are, too. For one thing (and I know it's only one) I begin to believe that old wisdom about the body being determined to put on weight during the first half of winter. If that wisdom is true, then for those of us in this hemisphere maybe we're heading into a time when it becomes easier to let the weight go. You are a good shopper, savvy separates match-maker, and smart traveler, and if anyone can get themselves out of a wardrobe puzzle, you can. Glad you were happy with your hair decisions.
Cathy and OKay, I'm glad Dee and Nancy are both experienced and know how to respond to whatever BS comes their way.
Twins' Mom, so glad you found your sister a little better, especially since you were bringing folks to chat with her and visit.
I've made up my master schedule of declutter/Focus for the first round and even figured out how to post it in the Focus thread so that it's readable. Taped to a 3x5 it's in my cardfile and ready for work.
Getting started on a second load of laundry. Gave some time to dd15's closet.
