Kathryn - If you are come to Australia its sale season here. Sry - I forget is that at the end of your cruise? That is no help. I'm not sure about NZ. Do you have any friends you could beg or borrow from. Sounds like the sari needs to be stored for a hopefully not too long time. There is an incentive. You have been so busy, and the weather over there started its run early. Its not the end of the world to wear things twice. Do you have a stole to change the lines and the look?

My day out went very well. Tiring but good. Maybe I'll go again as there was many new displays in the rest of the place, and another big name that I haven't heard of exhibit at goma.
dog got walked. made easy soup for tea. dishes are washed.
good night.

PS - thanks for the start twins
Just begin.

Hmmm....obviously I needed another chance to 'get it right' yesterday with the title. Where the "I" came from in Happy New Year -I have no idea. But you all 'lived' with it.

Dh is back from his walk and we're going to meet his db/dsil for breakfast soon. Think dd is going to Disney with a friend -though the weather is sounding pretty 'iffy'. Rained all day yesterday. We went to see my db/dsil in the Villages and drove through rain both ways.

Have an appointment for a perm this afternoon. Badly needed at this point.

Will start looking in earnest at air fares today for dh. Doesn't seem like he's feeling any better with the new medicine, but we'll give it a few more days. And if he gets home and is miraculously better, then at least he'll get to see all the DKs and DGKs.

Ready for a cup of coffee and then finish readying to leave. Have to come back and work on annual reports -see I have a few in my inbox.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

New year, new start. I feel like of overwhelmed with OMM stuff coming out of my head. Visit to see dsis on Tuesday and disc with her son and dil reminded me that her house is deteriorating and needs to be attended to. Now that we're past the new year, I feel like I need to get down to business, as if I hadn't been attending to business all along. Remembering all the stuff that hasn't been done and trying to make myself more efficient and less wasteful of time.

Vent: Dh and I were somewhat on the outs yesterday. I'm so glad that holidays are over and he's back at work and not hanging about here bored and making me crazy. Last night I helped him get his new iPad mini set up and I'm amazed at how the man survives. Doesn't know his gmail password (written down at work, he says) doesn't know AOL password (still has AOL email account, as do I) and then this morning, got up and couldn't get into his iPhone because he was entering the wrong passcode. (He had set up one on iPad and was using that....then had to wait 5 minutes, then 15 because he kept re-entering it incorrectly.) And at 5:40, after I had told him I was going back to bed (after ddogs fed) he had to come tell me about it and I felt I had to get up and "be supportive" since I had helped with the iPad set up. And knowing that I'm going to ATL today with dd to IKEA and then we're going late this afternoon to near K-town for funeral visitation, he wants me to go to Tar-jay to buy him a case for the iPad mini. I think his perception is that I have all the time in the world...... End of vent and sorry....

So today's PODA:
-routines
-WW log for food
-five servings veggies/fruits
-IKEA in ATL w dd
-leave around 5 p.m. for funeral visitation near Knoxville

I'm really wishing for a trip to the Container store in ATL - as often as I go I should be able to figure out enough time for a stop there. Originally I was hoping to go with dd today but I have to be back to travel for the funeral visitation. In some ways would prefer to have gone to funeral tomorrow but dh couldn't do and it's easier to go with him driving tonight. As often as I drive through ATL I "ought" to be able to do some shopping but it seems like I'm always in such a hurry to get back here for something. And the last two trips I've had people along.

Rain here today with some snow showers late this afternoon but no accumulation.

Dee - I saw your start yesterday as an amalgamation of Hi and Happy, so it felt cheerful to me!

Kathryn, IKWYM about having to get out summer, or lighter, clothes now. It's one of the things (among others) holding me back from going on the FL road trip with dh. (It's also that I'm an introvert and he's going to be busy visiting some clients/acquaintances and I'm not looking forward to socializing.)

Glad MT has been active and is feeling better.

What a wonderful thing to have a break in the winter weather, OKay!

I'm also heading to J&C about a death that is OMM.

I need to get moving.
-email or text rabbi re meeting w him. We hadn't discussed whether we would meet this morning, but obviously, I'm not there!
-s2s
-get dd up
-empty dishwasher and clear/wipe kitchen counters
-clear breakfast bar

Good morning, villagers ~
Vacation is over, back to reality.

Library meeting tonight after supper. Need to check current Lego prices and be prepared to argue the case for starting a club.

What else for today? Hmmm ...

I didn't get very far yesterday in clearing space in my office. It's one of those projects that the end result will solve several problems, but the multiple steps necessary before reaching the end are challenging. Some steps involve moving furniture to different locations, but it's a jigsaw puzzle -- or is it a Rubik's cube? There's always a "but first ..."

But first -- coffee and a healthy breakfast!

Lynlee Sydney is the end of the trip. According to Weather Underground, Sydney and Hawaii will be the hottest places. New Zealand should be cool enough that I have clothes to fit for there. Hopefully, I'll have some luck today. I also have over a week before I get to Hawaii - if I stopped eating now, perhaps my pants would fit (I need to lose 10 pounds for that too happen.)

I have to shop for meds and other things today so will look for pants too. I'm giving up on formal wear and just won't be dressed as well as I usually am. I have a black dress that is casual, semi and full formal depending on how it is dressed up/down with shawls and jewelry. It is top of ankle length but can be made just below the knee by belting it up so is a real work-horse of a dress, being the base of 7 different outfits. My palazzo pants make up another 3 formal outfits. So all my formal outfits are black, instead of my usual additions of red gown and my green sari to change things up a bit.

I'm up. I wrote two of the four remaining contributions for the annual report, including the Minister's Message (retitled the Ministry Message.) I still have the clerk's report to write but that will short - we didn't do anything this year. And the Presbytery Year in Review hasn't come from Presbytery yet, so I'll have to send that in while traveling.

I'm coming down with a cold so won't get to see my senior friend.

Dh is thinking of taking the boys to see the Hobbit (they were supposed to come with us on the weekend but then an aunt came to visit them), and their dad will drive us to the airport hotel. That way we can wear proper winter outer clothes that far (it is -38 today with the wind chill.) I'm not looking forward to shopping today. It is so cold that eyeballs hurt the moment you go out and I'll have 4 layers on to remove each time I try on an outfit.

Good Morning. Up and at it this morning. But forgot and brushed my teeth before taking BS count. So it was about 40 over my goal. BP was fine.

Time to get serious about packing for our 2 week RV trip to Q and getting house ready for the flooring install. Love the "out of milk" app for phone as I can do todo lists as well as shopping lists. So have it at almost max number of lists.

First up (since I am S2BF) is breakfast and meds
Then get out the flannel sheets and wash for MH.
While that is whirling, I will pack up all the knick knacks from the living room prior to moving end tables into den.

I have to empty the whole living room as they will be taking up the carpet to put in the new wood floor.

Off I go!! TaRa.

Love that start today, Twins. I always love 2nd chances!!

It is still snowing here, not heavily. Dh shoveled the driveway again this a.m. and is off to a day full of meetings. It is going to be really cold for a couple days here, then warm up to about freezing over the weekend, then become extremely cold again to warm up again to above freezing next weekend - with a possibility of freezing rain. It looks like our temps are cycling up and down.

I was up at 6 a.m. to let Maia out of her crate to go potty. Unusual, not sure what was up with that.

I hope the shopping goes well, Kathryn.
You're getting a lot done, MT.
Hope you get the office space project figured out, Bookie.

I'll just mostly reiterate yesterday's goals for today:
- trip to Meijer
- towel and bedding laundry
- take dd15 in for passport photo; dh and I will take her tomorrow to turn in the application. Both parents must be present up to a certain age - that is greater than 15.
- order her music; her accompanist wants us to put it in the mail to her on Monday. I don't think we'll make that. . . I don't think I have her address, for starters. I believe she is in England on vacation until next week.
- exercise?
- work on teachings (I did some reading yesterday)
- dinner: lentils (leftovers in the freezer) over rice, butternut squash (I have a little to use up), salad, bread

Next here: work on a.m. routine and make another mug of tea.

--Actually next was cleaning up dog vomit. I think Maia ate something she shouldn't have yesterday.

At the church office. Something went weird with email but we hope we have it fixed now.

Slow work here because of my wrist and because of confusion over things. Oh, and the cold. The room is up to 63 now but the furnishings are still really cold.
