Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
DD15 is enjoying her own checking account and ability to order things herself. She has always texted me items that she wanted ordered from various places online and the items would show up in a few days (me ordering & paying). But now she has cut out the middleman (me!) and is ordering things and paying for them herself. Doordash is a new option for DD15 while she is staying in the city with DD50 (her birthday is today!) and has a checking account of her own. DD15 hasn't asked my opinion so I'm not saying a word....this is a life lesson that we all have to experience. This is a good time as any for DD15 to learn how super easy it is to spend your entire paycheck on fast food and delivery services.

Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
Happy Birthing Day to LadyM!
Forgive please, an aside I wanted to get down on "paper" before I lost it.
Woman (unseen) on fb marketplace video commenting on a pair of shorts for sale, modeled by a cute teen:
"Ooooh, I'd look good in that."
HRH, absentmindedly:
"No, you would look just like you look now, only you'd be wearing that."
About DPCs, Time has been taken up here with DEmails. I'm remarkably irritated because an email chain was started, to which I was the first very helpful response with a "reply all", which did go through. 20 mins later, another person responded, but somehow that became a new chain showing him as the original poster, and now my response, still carrying the original, too, shows that it has "no subject". My response isn't mentioned within that new chain now, and no one even says, "Oh, we heard from Harriet, too". Which may be a coincidence or may be because no one knows about it, or may be because they're all saying, "it's not my table" (highly likely). Sigh. HRH says, "it's a computer. You can't expect it to do the same thing every time."
double sigh. Well, Idonwanna bother with it anymore. I can't expect me to do the same thing every time, either.
I just feel all torpid about it.

I am experimenting with using Google assistance again. I briefly used it years ago, but it was more trouble than it was worth the effort (IMHO). Now it has increased capabilities so maybe it is worth using. IF....and this is a big IF, it works well then I might consider using it to capture on-the-go notes instead of paper hip pad.
Hey Google -
I have freshly washed hair and finally finished AM personal cards. Scratch the AM part of that off because morning ended 3 hours ago.
DS17 bathroom is messed up and he has been using my bathroom to take a shower before he goes to work. It has resulted in my AM routine being off track. #FirstWorldProblems

Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
I am home from workout - I went by drugstore and picked up a script. My reward for doing so is two Lindt chocolate truffles that they keep by the pharmacy register. I inadvertently left the dog out when I left for my workout. She was way ready to come inside. I don't think it had rained on her but she expects quick service when she's ready to come in.
I made my DPC and had to leave a message. Dog is walked. I have the grill going for chicken thighs. I'll grill them now while it's not raining. Not sure if we'll get more rain but best to be proactive.
I'm headed for a relaxing evening. I've accomplished enough.

Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
Baby stepping my way through the day doing one thing at a time. Then repeat. repeat. repeat.
Wrote check for water bill and took it to city hall. Big open sign on the door but there was a small note on the door saying it was closed for court. Will have to remember to take the bill & check tomorrow. It is due by the 10th.
Called septic company because they sent another bill. I put a check in the mail to them on 5/29 but it hasn't arrived (25 miles away). Hum...wait a few more days or cancel check and write another one? I REALLY don't like having to write checks and using snail mail. It would almost be easier to drive to the business, pay them in cash and be done with it.
I might be whining.
While I was logged into bank account looking for the septic system check, I went ahead and reconciled that account. Thankfully, it matched to the penny so it was relative easy.
Plan C is in place. DBro & DSisIL want to test our battery powered lawn mowers to see if they like them. They can't fathom using anything but gas powered. I've gathered our 3 battery mowers in the front yard for them to come try each one. Each mower has different options, so it is just a matter of what they prefer and how much they want to spend. DH likes the $800 Stihl mower. I prefer the $200 Greenworks mower. Choices...we have choices!
Because apparently I don't have enough to do..... GF16 has been offered a job 15 miles away, however she doesn't have a way to get to/from the job. I agreed to take/get her when DS17 isn't available. This will potentially add 30 to 60 miles of driving to my day.

Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
We had 2 different groups of 5 people stop by to visit. It has been a busy driveway.
DBro, DSisIL and 16yr old granddaughter came to test the mowers. They found one that fit them and are going to purchase their first battery powered mower.
I was surprised that DBro listened to me yesterday and did what I told him to do. Today was DBro yearly appt with family doctor. Yesterday I told DBro to ask the doctor about his plans to get the Jesus Shot. DBro told me NO WAY am I going to ask him, he will just tell me no. I told DBro that he didn't have to do what the family doctor said and even if the doc said not to do it, DBro could still get the shot. ANYWAY, DBro asked the family doc about the Jesus Shot and the doc said "Sure! Go ahead and try it if you want to. But don't get it more than 2 times a year."

Very curious here... what is a "Jesus shot"?

Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
The "Jesus shot" is a shot designed to relieve chronic pain and inflammation. It typically consists of a proprietary mixture of three key ingredients:
** Dexamethasone: A fast-acting, synthetic corticosteroid used to heavily suppress inflammation.
** Kenalog (Triamcinolone): A long-acting, synthetic corticosteroid meant to provide prolonged anti-inflammatory effects.
** Vitamin B12: An essential vitamin often included to support nerve health and energy, with deficiencies sometimes contributing to joint pain.
It is not FDA approved. I personally know of dozens of local people who have used it for years and claim its effectiveness is unmatched by anything else. Their pain goes away and their ability to move easily is increased. The shot cost $300 and only one provider (that I know of) gives this shot. I think the news people did a hit piece on it a few years ago and declared it to be a scam. All I know is it works for those who get it with no bad side effects that I have heard of.

Re: Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC
We did have some rain, but not much.
I watered only the containers and used the water-soluble fertilizer for heavy feeders.
I don't know the answer, either, Cathy.
The photosynthesis was very successful and bright green sprouts are processed, in the fridge, labeled.
Headed to bed "early", lol. which means surprisingly on time. Tomorrow will be a toughie for driving and putting up with medical. Actually, the second appt is HRH's, so perhaps I will take a book... .. notebook... ..
