Glitter and Sparkle Monday PWYC

Good morning

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with needs of others and pending projects. I need to break these various projects & needs down into tiny steps so I can respond with progress. Action is always better than ignore them. Making progress make me feel better mentally and physically.

Hi everybody!

I will have glitter stuck to my skin as it's a very humid day here already.

I finally moved the outside garbage cans to their summer location beside the far side of the garage.

I'm heading out for Monday morning needlework group. Crocheters and knitters as well as cross stitchers.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

What can I add to glitter and sparkliness? Hmmm... ..

Well, my new chair has rolled into the office/sewing studio, and it did so rather easily because I've done a big push of organization and spiffing. I was estimating about 6 square feet of floor space freed up. The wood floor is kinda shiny, and the plastic chair-rolling mat is cleaned on both sides. Looks so nice to walk into the room with clearer space and more neatness, at least, if not completely neat, lol.

Was up in the night because there was an odor in the house. I turned the air up (down?) a notch at 3 and this morning the air seems fresh, but that was concerning. Really don't want problems. HRH doesn't smell it, which means nothing. If one of the girls was here, we could have pondered it.

I did try to make one more extended-family call that I'd planned over the weekend, but had to leave a message. A little worried about that, because that household was getting the call because of health reasons. So hard to balance between being helpful and interrupting rest.

This morning I was on the phone with dr's office to learn how long they've scheduled a follow-up appt for tomorrow. Just a half-hour, which is do-able. Somehow, we inadvertently scheduled an appt for HRH in a different direction for just a couple hours later. So, even though it won't be impossible, tomorrow will still sorta be a pain, away for hours.

it's
photosynthesis day, so the broccoli sprouts are in the window.

Enjoy an artistic morning, Cathy!

We have sun here for the sprouts (yay) but if others, like Twins', have rain, I'd better look at the forecast.

LadyM, yes, you are so right. I find I can become so INactive right when I want to accomplish things, because it seems there is too much to choose between and so I become unable to choose. Tiny steps of action is so much better.

adding shiny beads
Are you making jewelry?

RTBE food in the refrigerator has been taken care of. I keep a list of what day each food was added to the refrigerator so I know what needs attention. Today the cuties and avocadoes were my focus to get them out of the refrigerator. Both of them ended up being cut & put in the freezer. The big tub of cottage cheese was divided into single portion servings, so they are easy to grab.

The garden provided 5 tomatoes and 4 peppers today. We haven't reached the point of "too much" on hand yet so they don't need to be processed. They will get eaten fresh.

Bed made
3 circle driveway rounds walked

Our forecast is for light rain this a.m., a break in the middle of the day, and storms/showers this afternoon into evening.

Dh left early this a.m. for a trip to visit friends in Miami. I've been puttering since I got up, a little after eight. I tied up the tomatoes in the back. They have grown like weeds. I'm afraid we're going to have the situation like last year when there were just too many tiny tomatoes. And now, after growing cherry or grape tomatoes all these years, dh said he wanted us to have a plant to produce bigger tomatoes. Maybe I could leverage that into another raised bed next year but it's too late this year I think.

I arranged flowers that I got with our grocery order last week, cut stems, etc. I walked the dog two laps this a.m. Now I'm eating my brunch and I only have my workout outside the house today. I think my plan is busy this a.m., relax after workout. Perhaps some stamping glitter and sparkle!

I sent a HOA email to board about a volunteer to review insurance policies. Received email from outgoing prez who is moving away, with drafts of violation notices. He's going out with a bang for sure.

I bet Nancy's adding shiny beads to out glitter and sparkle Monday! I like it!

LadyM, I'm purging the refrigerator today too. Tomorrow is trash day, and dh really filled it up with unidentified stuff the week I was away.

Harriet, I'd really love to replace my stamping chair with an office chair and mat. I use an old DR chair at my stamping desk and it's on carpet. I'm glad you're getting some sunshine for those sprouts.

Very humid here also, Cathy. Air feels thick enough to cut. Right now it's 76 degrees and 90% humidity out.

Good afternoon! I am simultaneously overwhelmed and torpid. I don't want to do anything, and there is so much to be done! I did just get saved one phone call -- the oral surgeon's office called to check on me (I'm fine), and I was able to reschedule my followup appointment, which I realized after office hours on Friday was scheduled for Labor Day weekend. DH often has that Friday off, and if we decide we want to do something, I don't want it hindered by an office visit.

I have to make a DPC. I have been putting this off for a while. At my last therapy appointment (almost three weeks ago), my therapist suggested sending a text instead, and I put that off. Then, when I went to do that, I discovered that the number is an office number, not a cell, so it has to be a phone call. Aaaaaagh! (Where's the panicked screaming emoji?)

Just got a message from DC that their plane is delayed by 2 hours+. Sent a message to DH that he should not plan to pick them up after work.

I should have lunch, then steel myself to make the DPC. If I tell you I will report back, maybe I will actually make the call.

torpid
I don't believe I've ever heard of this word being used. I looked it up and instantly felt like I found a word that I need in my life. :) It perfectly describes me this morning. I forced myself to get busy & stay in motion doing tiny actions and am slowly working my way out of the dumps.

Lunch was a smorgasbord of items from the freezer that needed to be used. A little dab of this....a little bit of that.
These items were cooked in air fryer -
French bread pizzas x 2
Breaded Mozzarella sticks x5
French toast sticks x 10
Chicken Tostadas x5
While these items were going in the air fryer, the following was cooked on stove top-
Hamburger patties shaped to fit hoagie buns x4
Cheese Ravioli with sauce
Everything going at once meant it was all done in about 20 minutes.
I pulled out 3 kinds of meat from the freezer to start thawing for tomorrow.
I'm done cooking for the day.
