Good morning!
Thanks for the start Kittykatt . Glad the ball did not cause damage.
Bama snoring is tough to deal with... Has he tried anything for it? Mentioned to Dr? Drugstores sell some products that might be helpful... When my DH lost the extra weight - snoring went with it.

I need to call the vet and see what they suggest with DPup.
Going to do that so I can plan the day.
BIAB with list.

Two great SHEMs, Kitty! I especially like the one about winning. That is obnoxious of the boys with the football so late at night - and of the parents who didn't recognize it and stop it. I see you returned the ball this morning. :) That's really hot - stay cool. I've forgotten - do you have A/C in your house?
Is dpup still acting sick, kitkat? Sounds good that she is eating and drinking normally. Are you bringing some of your fresh baked bread to your DD?
Bama, has your dh tried a CPAP? I don't have personal experience with that, but I thought it helped with snoring as well as sleep apnea -- maybe they're connected? Dh and I always sleep in the same bed; dh is rather attached to me. :) Snoring is not a big problem for us, though. Sometimes, we snore when we have a cold/ allergies, but then we just poke the snoring person, and they roll over, which seems to solve the issue. I actually snore more than dh; I will often snore if I sleep on my back, for some reason. I now take Allegra regularly and that has helped; I think I have mild allergies - but I'm not sure to what. ((HUGS))

After I figure out when dbro + dniece can visit us, we will have 9 weekends in the months of June - August that we are traveling, hosting houseguests, or both = 4 weekends we are not traveling or hosting houseguests. Well, actually 3 without and 10 weekends hosting or traveling if I count the 2 teens from Germany who are planning to arrive the last week of August. I'll need a vacation from my summer "vacation"! LOL!

kittykatt, my kids threw some pool diving hoops over the neighbours' fence this weekend - I decided I'd rather buy a new set than go over there! :-)
Bama, my DH is a snorer. And we do prefer to sleep in one room - some days, it's tough! But he is getting a C-PAP machine in July, so that should help.
kitkat, hoping DPup will indeed be well!
helia, when DH did the sleep study, it recorded the snoring, the oxygen levels and the position of the sleeper. Well I could have told them that he snores while on his back even without the study, but now it's confirmed! :-)

Home. I have apparently volunteered our house for the scout BBQ (last session this year) today, so I have three hours to get things ready. I am the little machine who could! :-)

TaDas
- morning madness
- snacks for kids
- morning routine
- sort and delay start load of darks
- day at work
- call shop - still waiting on parts
- drive home
- pick up DBD from school

ToDos
- midday routine
- clean jars of canned cherries from yesterday (ooops, forgot to buy labels again!)
- 30 minute downstairs reset

Morning all. Love the shems.

Kittykat that is good the ball didn't hit your roses or something. Yikes it's hot there. I suppose you have to water quite a bit.

I don't really like melatonin anymore. Oh it works but I usually feel terrible in the morning. I can't shake the brain fog groggy . And I only use a 1 mg once in a while. To admit I think it's when I get too much coffee too late lol. Most of the time I fall asleep easily. Just wake too early. It's those can't sleep nights I hear dh snore sometimes. As for the snoring there lots of good suggestions here.

Well free day today? Maybe. I have all kinds of ideas in my head. Gardening. Painting. Some crafty and some actually see if I can Sand my deck table and picnic table. Get my living room ready for couch change. Need to make the bed in the craft room first and clean a bit in there. I have a shelf and a crafty sign I want to paint. Those are atm clutter in my craft room.
Almost should redo the desk top in the craft room too.

My house is actually taking shape. Just need some pupa and maintenance. I'll vacuum Saturday. Need to stop at the store for a couple things and talk to my new coworker. See if she might want this couch I'm getting rid of cause she has nothing. She's moving into a place of her own soon.

Wow that's a lot of plans lol πŸ˜†. I hope I can get some of it done. Next week has Canada day in it too so I get Wednesday off and Friday off cause the stat is my regular day off. That will help. And I think I'm going to recruit ds to do some of the sanding cause I'm scared it will flare my bad arm.

So where to begin. I think I'm going to start with routine stuff and when dh leaves I can do some extra qt.

Ohh and I have to make a little progress on my crochet. I have white and purple. Then I put some grass green πŸ’š. It looks good but it's bright. And that green ball is now in pieces cause I made a tangled mess of it. I think I'm going to just do pink and Grey.

Ohh lann... welcome home. Yikes . I can't wait to hear about it all. After you crash for a while.

Start with some routine.

Howdy. The melatonin wasn’t too bad, I don’t feel groggy, but maybe I would if I used it more often?

We have tried all the things re his snoring that he is willing to try, he’s very stubborn …dh had a cpap and was upgraded to a bipap his breathing is so bad, it makes it worse as he blows β€œstrawberries” through his mouth and he’s a back sleeper, he can’t sleep on his side now bc of his bad knees. He used to roll over for me but now he can’t be bothered. I thought moving into another room would make my point but it made him worse.
I’ve tried all kinds of ear plugs but apparently I have sensitive ears, after one night of wear my ears hurt so bad I can’t wear them again, and these are the smallest size. Headphones that stick out give me a headache from the pressure they put on my head. Sound machines also give me a headache after awhile. We are a mess!

Laura, enjoy your craft day.
Welcome back Lann.
Trissie have fun with your bbq.
Helia, you’re living life to the fullest with all of your entertaining, enjoy.
KitKat, I hope dpup continues to feel better.

As Bob The Dinosaur says: "It may look like I'm doing nothing, but I'm actively waiting for my problems to go away." It was a successful strategy once again, and I am writing to you as a person who has access to hot water with decent pressure. There shall be showers. And dishes.

Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. Christopher Wren's memorial worked out for him, but to me it smacks of "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair."
I am very happy with how I have my balcony arranged now. The green fabric leaves from the lattices blend in with the trees behind them, and they give that little bit of privacy that when I'm sitting at my computer with my light on, I don't feel like the actor on stage with the narrow spotlight on them.
Humidity is brutal, because it denies us the benefit of sweat evaporating and taking energy from our skin to do that. If you don't have air conditioning, sitting right in front of the fan will help a lot.
When air conditioning was relatively new here, people used to go to movie theatres to sit in the air conditioning. Clearly, British shopkeepers are not behind in spotting an opportunity.

Bama, could you develop restless leg syndrome, that kicks in (so to speak) when your DH is snoring his loudest?
Your daunt was a brave lady. Earning the ire of a complete army of mischievous little boys sounds like the start of an adventure that I would like to avoid.

"SHEM:
"The sun himself is weak when he first rises, and gathers strength and courage as the day gets on." Charles Dickens
Sounds like my knees.

End of Page 1. Time to get up and do.
