Dogged, I for one would never say no to a tomato! :-) One of the reasons I've been going to the garden center that sells their own produce (would be a shame to leave those greenhouses empty over summer) is their cherry tomatoes - they sell something like 8 different kinds (red, orange, yellow and pink, oval, round and pear-shaped, in any combination), perfectly ripe, and ooooh so good! I usually take about 5 pounds of those and just leave them in a bowl for snacking and they're all gone in a couple days :-)
kittykatt, lucky you to be out of the heatwave! We should cross our fingers that no new one comes, but I am not overly optimistic :-(

The forecast here for today is "only" 30C (86F). That is so much better than the 37C (99F) yesterday! Working from home today, and I'm having major idonwanna's that I have to get over (nothing really pressing, only big jobs that I don't really know how to tackle so I want to procrastinate on them :-) but I can do anything for a 15, 30 or 45, right? :-)
After my shift, I need to get groceries, pick up DBD's bike, do something about laundry and downstairs, and we want to go to the movies tonight to see The Oddysey with DH and DS (DtDT is not interested). We've been having couple movie nights (as DS15 and DtDT are more interested in staying in their rooms after dinner than joining us), so we've already seen Dunkirk (followed by Darkest hour, because it started on autoplay and who am I to say no to Gary Oldman's Academy award performance) and The Roses. But it's time for a proper movie night!

Morning all. I will investigate the Dyson stick vacuum as well. It's probably much lighter than the big brute of an upright I have now. I've taken to using Caspers comb brush on the rug for quick fixes especially after brushing him.

Kittykat that is interesting the kitties meeting each other through the glass. You of all people know how to do a gradual introduction if you do keep it. I do not wish on you the way my cats have taken to displeasure. Honestly I have 2 sets of siblings and they sleep beside each other and still mark floors and more. Especially in winter. I actually found a spot yesterday because the last few nights we've closed the cat door. Sometimes one or 2 have to stay out and some get stuck in. To break the routine of the stray coming in.

My hair feels so much better. Chopped off a few inches again and probably 2 inches off what should be bangs 😆. It was so long and heavy it was always up. Now I woke up and it even still had some shape to it.

I think ds is coming around. Better mood anyway. He's been still helping with food which is better than a week or so ago. Playing his game or something out here at least when I am home with him. Now I just have to figure out how to get him to create conversation a bit better again. Ok fine if he's going to hang out in his room. He must at least willingly make conversation sometimes. He's on his own for work hours today and tomorrow. Tonight should be prayer night. Then next step. I've got to get out of him what he wants to do with school. And how he wants to do our baby visit vacation.

Gma it sounds like it's going great with your guests. I'm sure they really appreciated the dolls.

I better get moving.

Oh, trissie, I sometimes get a mix of cherry tomatoes that have the sweetest green tomatoes. Such a surprise!
That sounds like a great movie night to look forward to.

Laurlind, I am glad that your ds is coming out of himself a bit.

I got up to go to the bathroom and found myself down a rabbit hole of floor cleaning. I am going to have one more go at catching up on sleep.

Thursday
Changed Germane's pee pads
Drained air conditioner
Cleaned up after Germane
Washed floor/chair mats with flashlight because there was poop between me and the light switch.
Rescued dog stuck under the other table
Cleaned up poop in bathroom.
Woke up again. Was pleased to see just a little bit of poop in an open area–easy to clean.
Went to the bathroom. Realized that my shoe and pajama bottom were glued to the mat that was hiding a surprise.
Did a gold-level performance in the dog poop Olympics that left me standing in one shoe, pantless and not standing in dig poop.
Was about to start cleaning the bathroom, but Germane woke up and demonstrated the error in my thinking. There was a square inch of poop on an open area in a 600 square foot apartment. She changed direction to step in it.
Spot-cleaned floor, then washed floor
Cleaned bathroom floor
Bagged the mat for garbage.
Scrubbed shoe and pajama bottom
Washed bathroom floor
Heart pill for Germane

Hi, L.Ann. I see that you are out doing errands too. I have been to the dentist and am waiting for the food truck to make my supper. They are nice young men and I like to encourage their business.

Everyone was excited about the dolls. :D
We had a great breakfast, blueberry pancakes, turkey bacon, and maple syrup (tapped and cooked by friends of mine. )
Key to dfBS house and death certificates now to attorney who has been retained by her brother to close up the house and deal with the estate.
Met with her pastor, gave him contact information for the brother, so funeral arrangements an be made.
I can check that off my list. WHEW!
Now I can refocus on mother's house and mine.
