SP is vegetarian, and so 8 weeks of vegetarian meals OR meals with vegetarian versions have just commenced.

Morning all. I see woodpeckers here lots. I don't think those green ones. Pretty

.
Happy start of school for little bit. Already? I think she turned 5 ? Time flies.
Helian I hope you enjoy having the girls there. You are already so adaptable with food I'm sure it will be fine. If someone vegetarians came to stay here they might be on their own. My boys would not do well with no meat and different protein. Nor would I. I think there would be 2 meals happening.
I am up and moving but tired again. Even slept a little longer. Last night was a first. Alberta style thunderstorm in central bc. The sky was constantly alive for a couple hours. And then it did some more in the middle of the night. I didn't tell my dad when he called a little worried.. Casper and I made it back. I settled on the couch just as I saw the first lightning 🌩... that was close. Casper nestled into the woodshed and was an angel lol. Cats were a little edgy though.
Now I'm trying to motivate myself to do something. Desperately need whb and some other details. Plus some things to deal with in the garden. 2 heads cabbage.. a big kale plant. Usually I have 4 or so. Only one grew. There's beets and dill. Not happening all today but has to before we go see grandbaby in September. Not here yet . She's 38 weeks now so any time in next week or 2.
I do need to do some whb. And detail cleaning or at least some sort of put away game. I'm tired of stuff everywhere. It really isn't that bad but just looks so unfinished and it's getting me down again.
On a brighter note.

I don't think I shared yet. We got some cute family pictures from ds and ddil last week that I need to do something with. The feature of the Pic was the little book... lil j is going to be a big brother just before he turns 2. She's due in February again. Course j was due in March but made his appearance early. Hoping and praying the preecclampsia stays away this time.
Waiting for the fog to clear outside and in my head. Hoping coffee helps. Probably a muscle relaxant and then do something.

Jumping in for accountability - it's 6:30pm, I just got home from work and DH is attending a work function tonight so it's all up to me. The house is a war zone and I am tired, so accountability is very much needed!

Hello, all. Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. I had to look up what palearctic means. That is a huge area!
Your SHEM is a more positive way of looking at Hump Day.
I didn't realize that Wiley Coyote had a movie coming out, L.Ann. I enjoyed his bits as a child, but it's hard to see how they would make an entire movie out of it.
Hooray for an uneventful day at payroll, FrenchFly.
helia, it sounds like your DH is an excellent decluttering companion. Not a restful one, but you make progress.
And that brings me to the end of Page 1.
The one thing on my agenda today is my df's Stitch N B. this evening.

Well slow progress. A little. Main thing a probably hour long chat with dd. She was bored trying to feel like doing something. Discussed all things baby and imminent arrival within the next week or so. Likely.
I have both laundry machines working. Washer has my sheets. I've swept everywhere. Ate some toast. And that is about it. Made new coffee as i had just poured the last of it before she called and it was cold... when I finish I should go and do the kitchen. And some details.

Good afternoon - I am having Adhd paralysis lately. I just can't motivate so I do nothing that is not scheduled or I am accountable to someone for. I have been hung up on these AI movies. Today it was all Tripp's fault. Tripp is my grandcat who lives with us - his daddy is my youngest. He never wants me to hold him or to sit on my lap for more than 3 minutes at a time and usually less than a minute. He was really needy today so I picked him up and laid him on my lap (I guess he liked the soft dress I was wearing today) and he laid and slept for almost 3 hours and I didn't move. So I watched 2 different movies and didn't eat anything until 2:30. His name is Tripp because when you are going to the treat shelf or to get him food or in a direction he thinks he also must go, he insists on walking between your feet and legs and one of these days he is going to take us both down. He is also a tri ped and is missing his front leg so he kind of limps like he is tripping. He is so very sweet. I call him Tripsalot or Trippy. I always have to send him down the stairs ahead of me for safety concerns.
L Ann I am sure you will miss Little Bit -is she going into Kindergarten this year- and is it a full day class -I think that is now common. It probably feels odd to write No Little Bit on your schedule.
Trissie - I too need accountability to do anything. I will go and tutor for an hour or so tonight.
Helia - You may feel better after time eating vegetarian. Our house is mostly Vegan - I eat mostly Vegetarian as I do dairy and eggs - my sons do some meat. I do have to make a soft chicken shepherds pie for a friend who broke her neck in 2 places.
kittykatt the usual busy list.
i did can 12 quarts of roma tomatoes. we used one last night for pasta sauce it was great. i have more to make salsa and can.
i need to dry herbs. i have dried rose petals and lavender and i an making rose oil and rose lavender oil.
What is causing the paralysis of motion even though I have plenty of projects I could be doing is I put in to be our Christian Ed Director within the hour of receiving the current person's resignation which was 2.5 weeks ago and they have done nothing. They are meeting tonight and should make a decision I hope. It feels like they don't want me but I don't know why they wouldn't want me. I did it 20 years ago and was the interim before the one we have currently. 20 years ago I took us from a failing program to tripling our numbers in 5 years and being a leader in the state. I would have taken the job 2 years ago had I not had 1 more year of full time teaching. I so wish I had just done it - they said they wanted a 30 hour a week person so they could given them insurance - I don't need insurance. Current person in no way put in 30 hours a week. She taught a 1 hours class on Sunday, went to a 2 hours staff meeting on Tuesday and purchased, not wrote the curriculum. She never even tidied up the classrooms and she stopped doing Children's Chapel so I voluntarily took that back. I also taught upstairs with her almost every Sunday - she didn't recruit, took us from 3 classes to 1 multi age classroom. She planned education commission meetings at a time most parents are still working or getting kids from class etc. so only 1 came to those too. My husband and I went as chaperones to the teen weekend she had an excuse. I tried over and over to try to find out what she did in her 30 hours. She started writing one email a week to families over inflating what she did in class each week that she would show up during the early service to copy and get ready. If you were teaching you were left your lesson or she would email it late Saturday night giving you no time to prepare and she didn't have materials ready for whoever taught. I tried first talking to her making suggestions of how to structure 30 hours, she made us meet with our Rector who accused me of saying she was stealing from the church. (I said well I never actually thought that but now that you mention it...). I now have time and I want the job back, I have offered less hours and no insurance required. They are talking about canceling the position entirely because she didn't so her job. They know me, many people are still there from 20 years ago and can vouch for me. I know how to get volunteers, I know how to write curriculum, I know how to train teachers as I have done all of this for 36 years as a master's level teacher. The silence however is killing me. One of the Wardens (we have 3) that are supposed to be in charge just quit effective immediately. OUr Vestry is a volunteer 3 year committment. We have a Rector who refuses to be an administrator so the Wardens kind of stepped in but no one wants to do the hard things like correct evaluations. I will have office hours M to Th and work Sunday for several hours. I will create a preschool lesson, restart our teenagers and grow a young group. I will know all of my families by name. I want to restart Rotation classes again as they were amazing. I like to run intergenerational events through out the year as well. I was paid 20 hours a week and did all of that 20 years ago. It has been so frustrating. Now the things is she was a good teacher when in front of the kids but her planning and organizational skills lacked so much.
I am going to be out of the country about 30% of the year next year so I told them I didn't want paid more than 5 hours on those weeks. I would still have checkins and do emails etc those weeks and organize all of the volunteers.
But the lack of knowing really freezes me and I search out dopamine hits on my phone.
The projects I have that I can do:
Finish cleaning guest room (need to still wash sheets from Nate's visit and remake bed) Right now they are in a pile and I am using the bed to dry petals and herbs.
Sew my chair cushions - that requires I wash current ones, get some quilt batting to wrap old ones and cut and sew new ones - could probably do this in a day.
Sew graduation robe zippers - honestly I could do this in 2 hours.
Make one more orange stole for first Sunday's and visiting priests or give to Mother Virginia.
Strip, sand and paint drawer set and repair the back and get new handles for our basement - that will take 2 to 3 days probably of a couple hours each day.
Make more rose and lavender oils (I have 2 jars started)
Dry herbs from garden and grind.
Make salsa and can
chop down the garden as things die out.
Prune garden for winter
Wash my car and detail inside.
Organize and declutter office
Organize fridge
Organize pantry
Organize freezers
Declutter M. Bedroom
Watercolor paint
make more rosaries
Create meal plans
Declutter kitchen drawers
Repot my Aloes
Just to name a few - nothing has a time requirement on it really other than garden things. I just am not motivated. I don't go to exercise either. I don't think I am doing retirement very well, I was hoping to find a new chapter to explore - I have put in to present at 2 conferences and I have been requested for a proposal to train a program in how to teach math. I go to my appointments, get a massage every 2 weeks, volunteer at church in various capacities.
I don't feel I can start planning without being offered the job and I want a very good explanation if they don't want me.

Hi, trissie! Bye, trissie!
I'm sure that your dd appreciated that you gave her your time and support, Lauralind.
A no-cook dinner and a chance to relax, L.Ann. Enjoy!
I can picture that would be very frustrating, CostumeLady. It stops you from planning anything else, until you get a decision.
Wednesday
Gave Germane her heart pill
Cleaned up after dog
Washed floor
Put on a pot of coffee
Tested out watercolour effect of markers
15 X 3:
Re-sort the dirty laundry into separate colour washes
Stopped frequently to follow Germane around, pick her up, position her on pee pads or in front of breakfast
Cheese and pills for Germane
Checked info about brakes online
Found the French version of my car manual and looked up how to check the brake fluid
Now I’m wondering why I know that the French word for brakes is freins? Do I know the word for steering wheel? No. Gas pedal? No. Hood? Well, I do now, LOL.
