Elizabeth: Max & Ruby are rabbit characters in a kid's book that's been turned in to a cartoon that air on PBS here. The young ones love it!

Nancy's right, except it originates in Canada on Treehouse network and PBS picks it up. They have new episodes airing right now I think, unlike the ones I suggested yesterday, which I believe were in their heyday when dd13 was little.

I'm on my second load of laundry today, and I have found one basket bottom, helia! :D (Out of 4)

Also, I finished filling a donation tall-kitchen-garbage-bag that was only half full this a.m.

I am so mad at AT&T since we went to their U-Verse package. They started the U-Verse package billing BUT also continued billing us as though we were still on the previous plan, too. Calls to them have repeatedly assured us that we do not owe the additional charges assessed after we were switched to U-Verse. "Don't pay that bill!" said a supervisor (HRH has the name). Today we got a bill-collector notice on it!!! Nobody does their jobs any more - certainly not at a big company where customer service people just figure they will disappear into a crowd. Making any change with AT&T over decades has ALWAYS caused me problems - they never get any change right, even when they solicit you to make the change. Who is it who has that commercial with all the AT&T bills thrown into big piles? Brilliant advertising

HRH came through with take-out from our friends at the very good Thai restaurant, who had called the other evening worried about us. We never get to go anywhere any more. He had all their news. And, oh that is such good pineapple fried rice and little tightly wrapped spring rolls, so delicate!!! I said I wouldn't eat much but it was calling to me! HRH gets extra springrolls hidden in his take-out because the cook says HRH taught her how to make them, which is untrue, but he did teach her how to determine the heat of the oil to make sure they cook fast enough, not greasy. Dd13 will be thrilled to have her usual treats from her friends there when she gets home - as a little girl she would suggest they "wash the rice clean and it won't be brown like that", and wonder why they didn't offer a whole dish of the "flat carrots" (thin curling garnish). So she has her usual 2 little bowls marked "clean rice" and "flat carrots".

Think I have all the clothes we need to the MH.

Next up is food. But I need DH to carry out tote with canned goods and he is playing clueless. Doing stuff that doesn't need doing. Why does that tick me off so much????

RV repair guy can't add and subtract - even when I give him the numbers. Going to ignore that for now. Keep the BP within normal range.

Harriet: so sorry AT&T is messing with you. That is why so many of us have gone to Verizon. AT&T doesn't like RVers as we don't sit still so they add additional charges when we are out of our calling area. Calling area = billing area or where we have our mail forwarding. I ain't staying where it snows - don't care what they say. Verizon even has one store that caters to RVers and knows what we are talking about. We don't even have to call CS any more.

Back to making soup!!! The house smells great as I just caramelized two big onions - one for each batch of soup.

I think I have finished my document mods. Now I need to switch my brain gears to scripting. I hope my brain is an automatic rather than manual transmission.

It turns out the dentist really couldn't do anything at this point - he thinks that the plaque has chipped/worn off on several small areas near the gum line in the area and that the sensitivity is coming from those - he can drill and fill those next week but I'll have to hold out until then. The throbbing is so strong I can't tell which tooth it is when it's happening. Funny part is that I've been fine today except for when I first got up this morning, so for now, I'm hanging in there and trying to avoid sweets (it was chocolate that triggered it last night.)

I have to sit on the pulpit tonight at temple so will have to go out again later.

I'm procrastinating on a DPC. Why do I find phone calls so difficult? Going to warm myself up with a couple of other calls I need to make first.

Twins: do you have any leftover braces numbing ointment from when the kids had braces. I carry some in our travel medicine kit, 'just in case.'

I cleaned the bathrooms and the upstairs. Have vacuumed 1/4 of the main floor and am ready to hand scrub the kitchen floor now. Don't want to do it (my back is sore from vacuuming) but it desperately needs a good scrub. Using the scrubber on the long handle isn't going to be enough.

The snow has been steady all day here. Dh shoveled this morning and again after lunch. He's looking forward to snowshoeing but I don't think there's a enough snow for that. We've only got about 4" so far and only had an inch or two on the ground before. Sure is pretty outside, though. (I'm trying not to think of ds driving to London, Ontario today in all this.)

Learning new things every day! I didn't know Max and Ruby was known in the vampire world (count maxwell & wife ruby). that is a totally different Max & Ruby . :) I also didn't know Max & Ruby cartoon was on PBS. We were watching it on NickJr, but now watch it on amazon.com through ruko device connected to TV.

Today is absolutely beautiful weather!! A very rare day of having no wind makes the temperatures seem warm because the sun is shining brightly. LO and I have been outside for almost 2 hours this morning and I told him when he woke up from nap that we would return to playing outdoors. It is just too perfect of a day outside to not take advantage of it.

DISH TOWELS!! I decided yesterday that I am making Dish Towels this year. Not just a few but I plan to make lots and lots of dish towels. I'm making them for myself, for gifts and to enter into the local and county fair. I might even enter at the state level if I can get good enough to not embarass myself. I'm not certain how I will make them but I am excited about the possibilities. I spent way too much time on pinterest last night looking at so many ideas. I had no idea there were so many options with something as simple as dish towels.

Okay - I laughed outloud when you mentioned Pinterest. My friend posted this quote yesterday: "Thank you Pinterest for helping me feel creative even though I've really just been sitting at my computer for the last 3 hours." Ha, ha, ha!
Thanks for the whistle song, I've always loved that.

Still got the cold/cough today, but just taking one little task at a time to make me feel productive. I dislike wasting all this time at home being sick, so I'm doing some financial work to prep for taxes. I got my first bank tax statement yesterday, so hopefully they'll start coming in now and I can get going.

Twins - sorry about the tooth pain. My Mom has had bad tooth pain recently and her Dentist referred her to an Endodontist, but he's all booked up. She's waiting for an appt. next week. Her Dr. did put her on antibiotics and that helped, so I guess it had become infected. Glad your pain meds will hold you through the weekend.

Waving hi to everyone else.

Lost an earlier post. . Had hoped all was well with Twins' trip to the dentist. Sounds like that is so but hope the pain recedes soon. Had wondered how Harriet's dd13 liked The Giver. All my kids have read it; dd16 declared it "a disturbing book" but I think she was a bit young to be reading it at the time. Dh read it out of interest this summer and thought some of the ideas in it were interesting. . ..

We got about an inch? or an inch and a half-2? of snow last night and light flurries during the day, not enough to completely cover all areas of the ground, but still - it is snow!

I went to my teaching team meeting this a.m. at 9, then stopped by the bank en route home, kept up an email exchange w/ company from whom we ordered our new stove. They shipped us the wrong model. :? We ordered dual fuel (gas stove top and electric convection oven) and they sent us gas only, so we will pack it up and they will come pick it up and hopefully we'll get the correct model soon. . . . ., finalized groc. list for the weekend (we're hosting small group tomorrow), went to the groc. store and put groceries away.

Now, I need to pick up dd13 from school so she can get back across town to the church by 3:30 for the buses leaving the church for the middle school winter retreat this weekend.. Then, I'll go to the gym.

I don't know why I considered that as a DPC, anyway, it's done. Also made appt for dMacs for vet and for a hair cut next week. I am still letting the gray go and there's still enough of the old blonde that I don't think it looks that bad, but it does need to be shaped up.

A "recomend" for Evernote where I searched and found the name and phone number of the stylist quickly.

I need to s2s before going out, and need to leave here around 5:30. I'm going to try again in the playroom/crafty area.

Kathryn, I don't remember that stuff - only dd had braces and it's been so long. Was it for the tooth itself?

I'm amazed that I was in so much pain last night and that I'm not feeling it at all today. Will not have a piece of chocolate until this is fixed, tho!
