Good morning to everyone! Amazingly, I think I finally caught up on sleep. Oh, I could probably sleep MORE... but I feel pretty rested right now. I'm going to call dmom & then s2s, probably go out there for a while.
Maybe I should s2s first...

Waving to Lynlee from last night...

DH just said he certainly hoped we could get away from the early church service tomorrow w/out people "badgering us to go to stay for Sunday School." * sigh * I'd kinda like to stay for SS... but oh well. I am glad church attendance, for the worship service, at least, IS important to him, anyway, b/c I know there are a lot of women who attend alone.

Waving to helia... managing three teenagers IS a big job... you don't have to make excuses for not working payroll!

MT -- I bet you are going to feel like you've moved into a mansion, compared to the MH! Hope all goes well w/Mr. MT!

Sounds like a busy day for BookSaver. Don't forget the nap!!! I think you will need it!

Hope you have safe travel & a good visit, Twins.

Bsweet, do you have a regular off-day each week, or does it change all the time? I would hate working on Saturdays. I really need my weekend.

Good morning to Kathryn!

Hmmm... wondering how one gets a urine sample from a dog...

Simplify. Well... seems like we're pretty simple around here, anyway... I'm going to think about that while I shower.

Thinking of Harriet's dhousehold... sending lots of good wishes for a simple Saturday w/no confusion & frustration for ddad...
and for Dee's dhousehold... likewise sending good wishes for calm day w/dgd.

Indiana -- I hope you're feeling well today and have a great day, too...
and that LO is getting better every day, OKay... thinking of you and all your family...
and that Mr. Sunny & Mr. Harmony have better days and take good care of themselves today so the women in their families can take a day off from worry! ;)

As soon as I hit SUBMIT, I'll remember the Most Important Person that I meant to mention and didn't.

Doing a test with my computer on dial up.

We pay $30 per month for access to dial-up spots around the world and so I was updating my computer and the telephone numbers. This is the first time I've done this with my new computer. It works, but is very slow (26K baud, it is painful to watch the smilies appear one at a time when the post a reply page is loading.)

But at least it works. I'd love to see if I can listen to my friend's church but won't be here during his service, so can't test that.

It didn't really work - it kept staying connected but not allowing data through. So I had to keep hanging up and trying again (because it would work for the first few minutes and then stop.) I could post, but it wasn't great at all.

I have bookmarked the Cowboy Church so I can get there fast and updated my iTunes podcast subscription page so I can get to the news report faster. That's all I can do for now.

I finished up the house last night. It is now ready for pictures, to show, an open house. It IS cold and cloudy here today BUT I thought dh would finish moving his garage. Afterall, I almost single handedly moved everything in the house but the furniture and 4 boxes that the mover moved in COLD weather. But I am not saying a thing, except MEN!

Went with dd2 and dgd2 to the boys basketball games this morning. Dd1 watched dgd9+months. When the boys are with their dad and stepmom, they act afraid to speak to or hug their mother. It is ridiculous the way the stepmom controls them and their dad. He had asked dd2 to bring treats today. She stood up after the game to hand them out and another mother jumped from the stands and practically ran over to the sidelines and started handing out treats. ????? I am guessing that stepmom had stepped in and asked another mother to do it, also. I swear she must lay in bed at night thinking of ways to hurt dd2. It just kills me after the games to watch dd2, watching her boys leave with someone else. She said that you would think that it would get easier but it doesn't.

Dh wanted to go look at tile for the master bath. I think it's a little premature to be picking out tile, when you still need to finish moving.

This last week plus, I spent a lot of time at the other house. I am behind on laundry and it will take all weekend to catch up. I wish I would have been thinking and I could have taken some of it to the other house to wash, while I was cleaning.

I didn't sleep well at all last night. Now I am dragging.

Lilac, your plate is really full these days.

I'd surely like to simplify my life somehow, but it seems to be going the other way.

Ran out on an errand today, ended up 4 different places hunting soap (bar, not detergent or moisturizing - based) and could only find it one place. I've been watching for it for a few weeks now. We're on our last bar. Have no idea what's going on with all that. And searched for a fan hose nozzle to replace the one DH smashed with his truck. Only one available in 4 places was heavy metal expensive one. Long time out for not much accomplished.

Trying to sew a bit today. Not making any progress there either.

DH wants a bonfire tonight. I'm so not in the mood.

LOL Nancy, maybe DGS could levitate across the room!

Stopped to produce a statement for customer. Poor woman broke her upper plate and now has another bill to pay.

Hope everybody is enjoying their weekend.

Harmony, you might try A mazon to find your soap. You can buy all kinds of things from them. Some with reasonable prices and some outrageous.

Dh mentioned going to A pplebees for supper. Then he changed his mind to Golden Corral. I love the variety at GC, plus there is plenty of seating. I just hate to wait at a restaraunt for seats and at A pplebees, you most always have to.

Remembering the days of dial up........ I'm so thankful for faster internet connections now!

Lilac - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You did it!!!

After lunch, DH said "Why don't you take the afternoon off and I'll take care of LO" :o :o :o :o Sooooo I quickly decided a few things I would like to do, gathered my things, gave kisses and headed out the door. About 2 minutes later I was back in the house because my car wouldn't start (dead battery). I didn't realize how long I have been home bound with sick LO and not driving my car until I tried to remember the last time it was started/drove. ANYway it all ended okay. DH jumped the car off and I took it to Sam's to have the battery checked (it is less than 2 months old). They suggested I drive the car to charge the battery so I took the back roads home and enjoyed seeing sites that are not in my normal travel ways.

I just ordered a replacement battery for my main laptop. (Amazon at 1/4 the price of the retail) I tried to use the laptop on battery this morning while doing some activities with LO but it only lasted about 5 minutes before beeping and shutting down. I want to set up a standing work area/desk so I don't have to sit to update digital SHE cards, but I need the laptop battery to work so I can easily move it desk to desk.

GC is one of my favorite places too! They have the BEST clam chowder. I only wish they had a way to not share serving utensils. I get a little queasy if I think too much about everyone using the same spoon/utensil to serve their foods. Must be 100's of people touching those same serving spoons......of course....I could wear gloves if it really bothered me. Where there is a will....there is a way.

(((Lilac's dd)))

Well, I didn't go to dparents' house after all... dmom sorta discouraged me, LOL. She said it was pouring down rain and she didn't feel like doing anything, and ddad was just falling asleep in his chair... so I should just stay home and grade my papers.
And I should... but I'm about to fall asleep, too!

I did manage to wash dh's jeans, and they are hanging to dry now.
Went to bank.
Picked up dinlaws' mail.
Now... will the papers win or the nap win... stay tuned.
