I'm going for a simple Saturday - not too much on the agenda but will accompany dh to ATL and back and need to drop off dMacs first morning pee at the vet. :? Otherwise, nothing much on the schedule for the day. The Atlanta trip will be about four hours of the day if we don't do anything else in ATL. Ds rec'd notice recently that his debit card had been compromised so we've been waiting to receive his new card and PIN and need to get it to him as his account has been locked since last week.

This is the last Saturday before formal Sat morning office hours begin. Tomorrow we are going to a late afternoon wedding and then I need to get dd back to K-town.

Going to start a.m. routine, and run to the vet's office.

9:10 back from vet's office

-empty dishwasher
-kitchen counters
-bring down dirty laundry and start a lol
-meds + vitamins, me and ddogs
-straighen up family room

Simple Saturday works for me!

I absolutely love the that Thoreau quote.

I'm up and at it. Today was my long shower day (shave everything while deep conditioning my hair) so that's out of the way and I'm s2s, with a bandaid on my shin from where I was a bit too enthusiastic.

There is laundry waiting for me to hang it on the line.

I'm done my devotions (plus some extra reading), breakfast and my light therapy so I need to get the day moving.

I'm up, showered, and have had bfast. I am hoping to stay focused today. I kind of fell apart yesterday and didn't do much after lunch. Well, I did attend a meeting all morning. I'd like to keep today as simple as possible, but I do need to accomplish some things I didn't do yesterday, like a groc. store run and an around the track run. :) We are also getting low on chicken feed, so I may get that errand done today - or I may wait until next week. Small group is tonight; I'm bringing a salad. I'd like to make some progress on Hebrew today too.

Book club friends recommended Downton Abbey to me, and I discovered I can stream it instantly at amazon.com! I don't know if that is b/c I have an amazon prime membership or not. That distracted me a little yesterday. . . .

Have a good trip, Twins! Will you get to see ds?

Sounds like your day is off to a great start, Kathryn.

Off to my a.m. cards.

For what it's worth, I'm up...and have accomplished simply nothing so far! It's another payroll day, and I"m procrastinating on the most simple of daily things....critter care, shower...just the usual before work stuff. I have got to get back in the habit of going to bed at a decent time!

And as usual, I got sidetracked and came back to find a half-written post on my screen! The critters have been fed and watered (litter boxes will have to wait until I get home), and I had a shower.

Now I need to get my butt in gear and out the door to work! Hopefully, it won't be terribly busy today.

Just reading the posts that came while mine sat here. You've accomplished a lot already, Kathryn!! (BTW, I took your advice and checked out the off-Christmas music of TSO, and I'm with you....it's not my cup of tea at all!)

Helia....I still don't know how you keep up with everything...or even keep track of it all! Yes, the first season of Downton Abbey is free on streaming video at Amazon for prime members.

Off I go!!

I don't know if it will be very brief, i.e. drop off card and go, or if we'll take him to lunch or dinner. Will offer but he may have other plans, even to study or nap! He might prefer we just drop it and go! He did call dh yesterday to ask him to transfer $$ to his "Buzzcard" the GA Tech universal card, so he could do laundry; he was out of $$ on the buzzcard and unable to transfer w/o the new debit card.

Going to give myself 35 minutes of a power nap; was an early morning.

Good morning, villagers ~
Today's plans in simple form:
Finish cleaning the kitchen.
Take a nap.
Go to the diner for lunch with DH.
Do some more work ... not sure what yet.
S2s in dressy outfit.
Visit friend in nursing home.
Dinner and community theatre with another friend.

This weekend I need to discuss my job options with DH and make plans for the rest of this year. I'm not quite ready to give up the library job yet, but I need to figure out some way to make it less ... aggravating.

Harriet ~ Did HRH feel better after running errands last night? Wish I could have gone with him! The staff meeting was a doozy.

Good Morning.

It was nice to spend the evening in the house. DH could go to bed and I could still read and work on the computer until I was sleepy. In the MH the light bothers him so I try to go to bed when he does.

I have a lot to do today in cleaning out the MH and spiffing it for temporary storage. (Not in a lot but by our garage.) It will stay plugged in so the fridge will stay on but I want to get most of the food out of it. I will leave some jelly, catsup, etc. in the door but will take out other food.

I want to vacuum it before I bring the vacuum into the house. I'll strip the bed and remake it after I wash the sheets - then everything will be ready to go if we decide to go down to Yuma later this year.

I tried to make the appointment for the CT scan for DH, but, as usual, they didn't answer the phone and I had to leave a message. I'm probably not going to hear back until the middle of next week.

Next up is to give DH a hair cut. He is a bit shaggy and I must have forgotten his eyebrows last time as he looks a bit like Andy Rooney.

Moving slowly, but I did sit down with the family during bfast and have completed my a.m. routine - except for my teeth care, which I'll do next. I sat down with dh to look at chicken tortilla soup recipes for tomorrow night. We decided to combine 2 recipes. :) Groc. list is made and the kitchen is clean, dw is running. There weren't enough dishes to run it last night.

I am making a salad for small group tonight, and a salad and brownies for ds' boys small group tomorrow after church. Dfriend B and I are providing lunch for the boys small group this week.

I'm glad to hear HRH is likewise through his nerve-wracking meeting. And I too wonder if the errands helped him decompress. .. .

Glad you enjoyed the evening in the house, MT.

Bsweet, I don't feel like I do that much compared to many of you here. Many of you have payroll jobs, for one thing! I don't. I do have 3 kids at home, and there are times when keeping up with them is a challenge, but I think some of you have had more than 3 kids at home in the past and/or have more than 3 kids total! And the kids are in school a good 7 hours of the day. To be honest, I'm not keeping up with some things, which I need to rectify soon. Both ds and dd16 are due for check ups. Dd16 needs an eye appt. as well. She has run out of contacts. For that matter, I need an eye appt. too since I am clearly having more trouble with my eyes. Hebrew has not been helpful for that.

Off to take care of my teeth and go to the groc. store.

Good Morning!

Booksaver - hope the decision on job makes itself know and brings you peace.

BSweet & Helia - Downton Abbey is a show I've seen on Amazon Prime (AP) but haven't tried it. I'll have to give it a try out of curiosity now. I normally don't watch much TV (maybe 1-2 hours a week) but am enjoying watching shows/movies on AP since I can easily start/pause them on any device and restart them in the same place on a different device. Sometimes it takes me 3-4 days to watch a 30 minute show. Same with books - I appreciate being able to start/stop and read on different devices depending where I am without losing track of what page I am on.

I am determined to work myself back into normal schedule after being in reduce activities/sick mode for so long. I hit the floor running this morning at 5am and it felt wonderful to feel that ole energy level creep back up into its normal range.

Sourdough Pizza dough came out of the refrig smelling AWESOME! My fingers were greeted with that smooth/silky feel as I kneaded it. I am soooo looking forward to actually eating it for lunch. :) Annnnnticipation is a good thing!

Polar Bear Plunge .......or not. That is the question I need to resolve in the next hour.
