Lunch is done I've weeded the flower bed that I'm focusing on this weekend and it looks SO much better contemplated the things at church while I did that. Then it was off for my walk before the rain clouds hit I can see them in the distance.

Both dh and I are safely home. I took a nap as soon as I got home, had been sleepy driving the last 45 miles. (Stopped for a diet coke and fresh air and was better.) Nap was delicious, and then dh got home from his trip. We went to see the new house also to see how things are coming along.

House is a mess from both of us carrying stuff in and dumping it on the kitchen table. I'm going to have to work on it in the morning for the dcleaning lady.

I drove his convertible to the conference I went to - drove the first hour or so today with the top down and got a little sun - oops, make that vitamin D! Beautiful weather and seminar was amazing - for new congregation presidents - lots of good knowledge and advice, fellowship and lively worship services and music. (I feel like I need to spend a couple of days alone now to decompress from all those people, all the time!)

Just realized I haven't check in here today.

Church went well. The children's story wasn't my best but was OK. A little girl who seldom speaks had the answer to what was else was on the section of stained glass (I had the kids stand with their backs to the window so they couldn't cheat.) They all guessed Jesus was there but I wanted details and she knew he was holding a lamb. None of them remembered that the bible on the communion table is kept open to the 23rd Psalm. I opened that question to the adults (except John, he's the one who originally picked that spot to open the Bible to.) Several had the answer immediately. And the kids knew what was in the stained glass window at the other church, much to my pleasant surprise (that's a full length picture of Jesus walking, carrying a lamb and a shepherd's crook.)

But after that, they were too rowdy to hear the rest of the message (linking Psalm 23, Ezekiel 34 and John 10 Jesus as the Good Shepherd.)

After church I spent some time recording my friend's service. The recording failed again after 10 minutes but this time I was listening for that and have figured out why. So I need to send a bug report to the tech guy there. He fixed the audio broadcast this week but the video broadcast is bust. On the other hand, that means there won't be any commercials in the middle of the service as there were last week!

My meals today were my leftovers from yesterday's lunch and dinner, so no brainers. Dh and I went for a long walk. Then I began researching my bleeding and have concluded I really do need to see the doctor. I've been through 80 tampons in the last two weeks which, conservatively estimated means well over 200 ml of blood - anything over 80 is a reason to check with a doctor. I'll call tomorrow morning. No sign of letting up at all.

The minister, who has had bleeding for years, was super dizzy at the end of the sermon and was ready to pass the rest of the service to me but recovered during the hymn. She has let her hemoglobin drop far too low and just discovered it this week (the doctor's office had an indication that she should be on iron back in Dec. but failed to call with her test results then.) So, her problems reminded me that I need to be caring for myself (and advocating for myself) this week.

Kathryn please take care of yourself. I'm glad you are calling the doctor.

Low hemoglobin isn't anything to mess with says the lady that had 6 units of blood the last time she was in ER.

Kathryn, I'm happy to read you will be going to the doctor. I agree, it's time.

(Indiana) nope, missed it too.

Many times I wished I had a lock on my lips. Lifetime of struggling with that one.

Church was good. As Deaconess, we're supposed to go up to altar and pray with any woman who need prayer there, but I'm not 100% comfortable with that. I think sometimes people need alone, quiet time, and I try to be respectful and quiet for a bit, then offer to pray a little and ask what the need is...this time the song they were singing in the background was a bit too loud...and today I saw an awful lot of tears up there.

I'm still tired from the all-day-in-the-sun mechanics on Friday. After church and lunch, I gave up and went to bed and slept for 4 hours. I finally feel better. Gee whiz I'm showing my age, aren't I.

So of course nothing got done around here. I must still clean up kitchen and make lunches for tomorrow. DH is wanting to do this all the time now. I'm less than thrilled. I told him how long it takes. He said I'd never make a good employee at sub-w ay. Got one statement done and sent out and a little desk work, but that remains to be finished. I'd hoped to get it done before 10 tonight, so tomorrow was free. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

I'm about to reach my limit for this weekend. No exercise, no papers graded, no weekend housekeeping chores done, no church minutes typed...
* sigh * But I'm about done.
When I get this last load of laundry hanging to dry... I am hitting my pillow.
Tomorrow IS another day. Scarlett was right about that.
And there will certainly be plenty to face when tomorrow gets here... but I imagine I will face it better if I am well-rested.
Good night, everybody.

(((Kathryn))) Hope you get some answers & remedies from the doctor! This has definitely gone on long enough!
Tomorrow is another day.

Finally updated my blog with pictures of the giant asparagus - better known as a blue agave flower spike.

Feeling pretty good today. Glad not to be taking those meds any more. DH still hurting from chiropractor on Friday but going tomorrow to see if it will loosen up.

Headed for bed. TTFN

Harriet - When I posted about the screen time = active time - I was mainly thinking of myself , that I spend way too much time on line.
I am missing familiar hymns. I'm not sure how much is dictated in the new mass,
Kathryn. I'm hoping your doc has some answers for you. Glad you insisting on some help with this.
Lilac - I hope all the house sale prep goes smoothly.

Washed sheets today. I hope there is sun tomorrow as I want to sun them again before I pack summer sheets away. Put winter sheets on the bed.
I pulled a lot of weeds etc and have a bin mostly full. May try for more tomorrow.
Just begin.
