I'm at work after long meeting with rabbi - we are both glad the memorial service last Sunday went well as it had the potential to upset a lot of people. A couple of other issues that took awhile to discuss.

DS rode with me this morning since I was coming downtown anyway and will probably be downtown all day. He was the scribe for my OMM list - he had to beg off writing when we were on the curvy mtn road. Probably 15 items written down - I tend to think of a lot of things while I'm driving so I guess that was productive.

Well, I am up, S2BF, breakfast, meds and dishes done. We have to move to another part of the campground for tonight and tomorrow as there is some kind of concert here Friday night and our space is reserved for the band. We knew this coming in so no biggie. Much easier to move the MH than the 5th wheel used to be.

Several have remarked that I seemed happier in our house than on the road and the other night it hit me. It is community. From our old neighborhood before we went on the road and in the neighbors I have at our house - I feel like I know everyone. On the road the only people I know is only one - DH. I missed the feeling of community. That is probably why I post more when I am on the road as this village serves that purpose. But I miss seeing the faces of people I know.

As far as that auditions - I am a bit limited as I know some of you from seeing you in real life. Others I know in my mind and it is always a shock to see you IRL.

OKay should be played by the actress that played the mother on The Waltons. Strong, beautiful, caring, and giving.

Indiana - I'm not sure yet. Several pop into my head but they aren't quite right.

LucyLee - Can't remember her name - but she played on TV with Bruce Willis and was a PI or lawyer. Can see the face -but not the name.

Well, better get packed up some more. Then we have to head out for our mail.

We are all moved. Took about 20 minutes to unhook, 2 minutes to move and another 20 to re-hook.

Now just a few things more to do and we are off to pick up our mail.

Good Morning Dear Ladies,

The sun is making an appearance finally after dark clouds hung around around for awhile. That's the way life is too.

I am very achey today so spending some time in front of the computer to gradually get my body in gear.

Spent some time figuring out the tolls for our trip. 35 days away. See that 1-44 has tolls here in Oklahoma, while the Missouri part of it does not. I-70 appears to be toll free and then the thruway in New York. There was a calculator at the thruway's web site so I got an amount for getting to Daunt's location.

We plan on taking sandwich fixins and a cooler so we can just stop at a rest site along the way and eat. Drive until we want to stop for overnight and have dinner there. We will need to stop for overnight as even DH said his old body would need to rest and take his medicine.

We are having a bit of trouble getting electric power for the coach. All the connections so far don't work. We might have to move again. We have a giant surge protector that goes between the power pole and the MH that makes sure the electric is all ok. So far it keeps finding an open ground - which isn't good. So it won't let the electricity thru the wire.

If need be we can exist on just the solar panels.

Hmmm... not bad... she's much more sophisticated than I am, though. Always seemed more "pulled together," I think.
I've always got this wild hair going on. Too curly/poufy/frizzy. Maybe Goldie Hawn, if she were a brunette? I might be flattering myself, there.
When Charlie's Angels first came on tv, I was sooo thrilled w/Farrah Fawcett. FINALLY, big, messy hair was in style. I had FINALLY become somewhat stylish. I thought her hair was BEAUTIFUL.
My grandmother said, "She looks like she hasn't combed it in a week."
That's still the look I go for most of the time, LOL... unless I have it in a ponytail.

Well... I'm back from my allergy shot, all dressed up and no place to go now. I should have gotten up early enough to walk before I went to get the shot... but I didn't... so. Here I am.

I need to do some ironing today. I have a few things I didn't take to the ironing lady b/c they weren't dry yet.

I have a movie I'm going to watch while I iron -- Winter's Bone. It stars the girl who was in The Hunger Games. I was interested in it b/c it takes place in the Ozarks, and the movie reviews sounded good in USA Today, but it never came anywhere around here... so I looked it up on Amazon, and I read the book, but it is kinda violent & depressing, actually. The girl is trying to find her dad, who has disappeared & is scheduled to go to trial for making meth. If he doesn't appear, they will lose their home, and she is determined that will not happen. There are a lot of really mean people in the meth-lab business, as you might imagine... and the intense poverty, etc. is just really depressing. But I liked that girl a lot in The Hunger Games, so I'm going to watch the movie anyway.

Can't imagine paying money to travel a road! Maybe it's because there's been no vote here about such a thing; we don't have any, so I've literally never heard any debate points. But gee, it's not like traveling is a vice to be financially deterred, or that tourism is not desirable when considering balancing a budget, municipal or state. Seems to me we just adjust taxes to the truth about how much is needed. If a road will predominantly serve those outside the state in which it exists, the funding should have already come/be coming federally to a reasonable extent.

Twins' Mom, thank you so much for that link. Charming. I emailed both my daughters with it and am considering my ds27! Wonder what he would say. Know better than to send it to HRH, because he'll say he is way too tenderhearted and doesn't want to know if anything happens to any of them!

Dd13 is home from her sleepover. She hurt her ankle the first night and is still limping a little. Went into the yard with the family and enjoyed a nice chat.

Such a kind message on the answering machine from my dgirlcousin who borrowed the ketchup. "Harriet, you saved the day! All the kids needed your ketchup. But you save the day all the time for everybody! I was so relieved when I thought to myself, 'I can call Harriet!' And then you answered the phone. Whew!" So she really made my day. The get-together was in honor of her older daughter's year of teaching in our local school system. I'll have to ask sometime what grade her daughter teaches. No matter which one, I can see how that may have been a huge achievement worthy of gathering the siblings and their children!

The point is, I was prepared for a knock at the door! I was prepared with a well-stocked pantry for a random request! I am not a complete ditz. Who knew!
