I have walked and done my workout. Now I need to shower, etc., make grocery list and then buy groceries.

One of the guys dh went on the last bike trip with, invited him to go to a lake about 5 hours from here and camp for the weekend with him and some of the guys friends. Dh was tempted but then decided he didn't want to be sleeping on the ground in a small tent, with no shower access and without his cpap machine.

Tonight is the first varsity football game in our new stadium. I am going with dd2 and the 2 little girls. We'll see how that goes. Dgs8 does not have a football game this Sunday. He is disappointed that he has to wait another week to play in a tackle football game.

Harriet, thank you for the anniversary wishes!

I've done that round - long email about community religious school meeting coming when I return. I'm dressed to head out, but am going to do some car clean out before I go. Also need to round up tape for box for dd and suit for alterations, and make sure I have a step stool for old house for changing light bulbs.

When will I ever learn to do posts in Word, then switch to post. Once again I was merrily typing and the internet just shut off!

I’m s2s, breakfast & meds done. For some reason I could only eat one slice of toast, but that’s fine by me.

I at least got one thing done on my 5x5 –plus putzed around some, cleaning some hot spots.

Think I’ll ask dh if he can pop the screens out of the living & dining room windows. There’s 4 –about 3’ each. I’m hoping they pop out. They HAVE to right? We also need to figure out how to get the screens out of our fantastic fans (2) so they can be cleaned. They’re getting a tad dusty.

Skippable: DH has been across the street chatting with 2 guys in the driveway. I’m sure the subject has been (at least in part) the person (evicted) who left about 45 minutes ago. I’m really glad to see this particular person go. Not that he ever ‘bothered’ me in any way, but I know people who were greatly bothered by his and his wife’s actions, behavior and words. DH did winterize their RV this morning before they left, moved his deck to someone else’s sight early this week and raked & seeded & put down straw where his deck had been. DH’s boss called him yesterday & started yelling at him because he had heard dh seeded (there is an unbelievable gossip line here!). Told him he’d scheduled it to be sodded on Monday and had people moving in there. By the time they finished I guess dh had him calmed but I absolutely hate this kind of thing! DH has already told some of them that he won’t work weekends next year. In fact he’s thinking of taking a job elsewhere –which I would have rathered happened long ago. Not easy to work where you live. The guy hired when dh was supposed to have heart surgery ahs given his notice for September 15th and won’t be back next year. So….who knows.

Phoned and left message with doctor.

Phoned the cheap smart-phone place, they are sold out. (They had bought up the US stock that is under the injunction in the US but sold it out.)

Sent email to someone selling the same phone, used, same price but there's be no tax (13% savings) and it includes a case and car charger.

Read the paper while I ate breakfast.

Baked muffins. Dh says the house smelling of fresh baked muffins when he comes down to breakfast is an enhancement to his mornings.

Unloaded the dishwasher and dish drain rack.

Made the bed and got dressed.

Not quite ready for a nap yet. Will try and stay up until 1 and then nap in the afternoon.

All righty, I'll try keeping up today:

1. Clean bathrooms (15 minutes)
2. Vacuum upstairs (15 minutes)
3. Sweep kitchen floor (5 minutes)
4. Damp mop kitchen floor (15 minutes.)
5. Update quicken (15 minutes) Done!
6. Pay bills (10 minutes)
7. Do payroll for August.(10 minutes.)
8. Phone the specialist (5 minutes.) Done!

Also emptied the kitchen compost container and hard boiled 2 eggs for my lunch.

Guess I'm making headway -way more than I expected to today:

1.Put vinegar through 12-cup coffee maker and cleaned the outside of same (done)

2. Started vacuuming the hall and ended up vacuuming the living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen, hallway, our bedroom. (done)

3.Threw all the throw rugs, including runners on the deck -doing a load with them when I go up to launder sheets. (done)

4. Have water heated to wash up a few dishes and the coffee carafe & filter basket, plus our coffee mugs (done)

I feel good!

Now I'm eating a warmed up slice of pizza. Going to throw some boneless wings in the microwave for dh -or maybe I'll try them in the new little micro-cooker we got on Monday. Sure did a good job on hot dogs. EDIT: worked very well -much better than just 'nooking' them. Mr Dee approves. This pan is easey-peasey clean up too! Just wipe with paper towels or damp cloth. It can't be immersed.

5. Wahed the dishes & cleaned up from lunch (done)
Feel doubly good! Where IS this energy coming from? I don't know but hope it continues. I like what I'm seeing! NOW I have definitely earned some reading time. Still have to get dd's sheets and go do laundry but think I'll wait an hour or so. (Of course I tossed all the sheets and rugs out on the deck & the wind rather moved them from their goal.

LO closet is finished and looks fantastic! (If I may say so) As I was putting clothes back into it, I kept finding more clothes that he will never wear so ended up with a third large bag filled and ready for GW.

Hall closet cleanse is started. Everything has been pulled out of it and dumped/stacked into a HUGE pile. How does all this STUFF get crammed into closets???? I know I told myself last week to FINISH these type projects on Friday, but I really had my heart set on getting further this week than I have been able to. I really want to do this closet too before starting next week project (LO bedroom). Sooooo.....I started it and will just have to "gripe" at myself over the weekend as I continue to work on it.

It's noisy here with acorns falling like crazy! I guess fall is fast approaching...

Hi Everyone! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TWINS' MOM & TWINS' DAD! Hoping you have a nice celebration!

Our Friday Fun started before 7 am this morning when ds#3 called to say ddil and sisters were in the city across the bay and would be here soon. They arrived about 8:15 am and since they had driven all night went to take naps. They slept for about 3 hours and we've just been visiting and getting caught up on each of their families' news, etc. I think The Sisters will go see their dad sometime this afternoon.

I guess it will be a quiet day here; all weekly chores are done, kitchen, our bedroom/bath are straightened up and cleaned. I have a lol to do, so will put that in, then get some lunch. I think everyone's ready to eat now.

I don't always make/use lists. Only use one if I'm planning for a special event or planning for a trip. Most of the time I use 3x5 cards for shopping lists b'cause that is sturdier than a piece of paper. And, of course, I have my basic daily/weekly/monthly routines written on 3x5s.

Elly, our squirrels are busy gathering acorns from our tree in the back yard. Have to make sure they have time to run up the tree as I let our ddogs out!
