Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Lilac - Wondering if your DD used the free advertisement available. I was thinking about her using Facebook and twitter to generate interest and keep her business in the minds of customers, friends & potential customers. I see FB post from a local business similar to hers and they are always telling about things happening in their business. They post frequent pictures of finished products the customers made and tell of upcoming events. A business website would be good too, but it takes $$ and time to develop. FB page for the business is fairly quick/easy to set up and get started (less than an hour) and twitter is very easy.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Interesting 'hair' discussions. I've not permed mine in about 6 months or so. It's straight for sure. Wondering if there'll be any changes to it since I'm not 'stressing' it with perms or colors. Would be nice. I've been taking b iotin again to try to get it to be a little more thick. Used to take it and my hair did respond, so hope it will again -only more so this time.
I got a daily calendar printed out for the next 3 weeks. =2 blocks for each day -1 for things I have to do (main focus type) and 1 for anything 'away' from here. I was getting myself too confused even though I had things written down. I've done one sheet for each week left here. Put important dates/appointments on it as well.
Been doing dishes and taking a short break while my mashed potato pan soaks. That didn't get done Sunday and night and I didn't want to do dishes yesterday until after I'd made the chicken divan for potluck. Then it was just plain too late. My back screams at me after a few minutes at the sink anyway. This sink has about 4 -4 1/2" of counter in front of the sink itself so I'm leaning more than I normally would for anything. I bought a dishpan and a dish drainer that fit from front to back on the lip of the sinks. That's a big help as the sinks are very deep. These are quite unusual for an RV. Of course everything in here is full 'house' size -fridge/stove/sinks. Love it! I use the stove/oven way more than I ever did in our prior RV. Even that was pretty good, but still one built for RVs. I was never able to light the oven. This has a self-igniter. I never could hold the knob in while reaching way back with a lighter to light it. My arm just wouldn't let me do that!
Ok, back to finish the dishes and wipe the stove.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Not perfection here : Did not clean hen pen , did not get lights up did not get a walk in yesterday trying to change that today.
My hair has always been straight blonde of some shade; started lightening it with lemon or sun in when I was in high school, in my twenties started getting my first few grey hairs. Then it was SO thin and after taking thyroid I have more than I ever had in my life!
Takes longer to comb out however. Did not get my walk in yesterday with the shorter days I'll have to re-tweak my schedule a bit or get on the ex. bike.
Hoping the yd. clean up counts for something.
44*-71* Today's temps. The sun rise is lovely again here. It's not as cold I did not need to cover the tomatoes last night after all. Oh well better safe than sorry. The rest of the week is ok so will not have to do that again for a while.
I've done the chicken chores cleaned their pen this a.m. still no eggs. Should have gotten white cord for the lights to go w/ the pen.
They are still not up yet I could still do that.
H. has the trash to the curb today.
I cleaned out my purse last night. When I was going to walk I was having a low so did not think it was such a good idea to do it then. ~sigh~ But I'm good today no danger of low this morning! LOL! It was #225 when I got up probably b/c I did not take insulin with dinner.
But as I said I was having a low.
I have granny duty in the p.m. have to pick up dgd.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Slow computer - Kathryn mentioned her computer running worryingly slow this a.m. though she was not installing anything, and Chrome being hard to get up.
Just thought I'd say quickly that I had the same experience.
More hair chat Re: Nancy's hair experience (interesting!), Mary Shoman the thyroid expert says also to take Evening Primrose Oil if you feel you have hair loss or thinning due to thyroid. Btw, I am evidently in a shedding period right now. Wrens could stabilize their homes against gales with the nests they could build with my hair lately. Or even take in foreign exchange wrens to spare bedrooms. That's okay, it'll cycle back.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Morning y'all
Yesterday was spent digging 6 holes so could plant my flowers. Took me almost 2.5 hrs to do that. Remember my ground is very, very hard. Had conversations with y'all in my head while digging. Then I was able to plant my mums. Trimmed 3 trees, cleaned up my messes and came in and took a shower. Notice I have a slight sunburn. Temp was 92 while I worked and will be the same today. Will work on the front yard tomorrow.
I am in the middle of redoing my closet. I've had my coffee and picked up my footprints. I have major errands to run today so need to get the closet finished. Can't walk away from it like it is.
Waving to y'all...will cya'll later. Enjoy your day

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Is thin (thinning) hair also a sign of underactive thyroid, Nancy? Just wondering here. That's been a problem for me the past several years.
We're eating our main meal this noon -still have stuffed pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy and applesauce left to eat up. Then we're just having oatmeal for dinner. Hoping that the reverse in a bigger meal will also help my morning BS reads. Besides those dishes were brought to us Friday I think & I need to use them up, wash the containers and get them back to their owner (and out of here).
Dh brought me lots of coupon pages yesterday do think I'll get those clipped and also 'outta here!'.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Meeting is done. Went quite well. Learned a couple of things. This is the pre-meeting to setting up wills. My financial guy brought out an estate lawyer who advises us (for free) and then we take the recommendation to a regular (fee-based) lawyer, but save because we know what we want before we get there. The main question is how far we want to go to split taxes on death.
I need to get a bit of paperwork done and then I'll have lunch and a nap. I need to leave at 3:45 for my meeting tonight but if I leave at 3:15 I can do banking on the way into the city.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Done!
x haircut
x bought hay -- then found a garbage bag full of hay in our chest freezer as I was putting away groceries. I forgot that dh said he would do that to kill the moths. . .
Well, we have plenty of hay now.
x groc. store
x groc. put away
x eating lunch: apple, a miso soup, and some Greek yogurt, which i bought as an experiment. I think I prefer my activi-a, but I like almost any kind of yogurt.
I think I'll need to buy another chicken (for soup). I forgot that dh likes to double and triple soup recipes, and we're making chicken noodle soup on Sunday.
Speaking of chickens, Iggy (ds named this one) is molting, and she looks so very bizarre. I'm tempted to take photos and post them. . . . She is our only hen (well, we're down to just 2 now but this was true last fall when we had 3) that molts all at once. Poor thing, she even had patches of pink skin showing for a while. She now sort of resembles a porcupine with 2 gangly legs. And a beak. I think she's not very comfortable though. I hope she is warm enough at night.
Off to gather towels and MBR bedding and work in the yard! BBL

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
Smart hens, possibly, to be molting now for all new feathers in winter, helia and Nancy! I'd love to see pics, helia - I've never had one molt very dramatically before but I've heard it can really be something to see. Nancy is posting all about her new hens in the Productive Backyard thread in Outdoor Spaces forum but I haven't had much to add!
Wow it's cold. (I know ... it only seems so because we just entered cool weather.) We put the heat on 67 last night, which I'm sure is not going to be enough for my ddad for long. I know that, in theory, we warm up to 75 outside tomorrow, so I hope that gets us back to a warm house!
It is barely over 50, but the forecast yesterday had told us it would be in the high 60s today. Nope!
Dd went with only shorts for her PE class rather than long exercise pants. I hope they stay indoors, but there hasn't been any precip and teachers were talking about the mile run for today.

Re: PROGRESS, NOT PERFECTION TUESDAY
The emergency paperwork task is done and in my purse, ready to be handled at the bank.
I've also had my lunch so it is now nap time.
