Dee, I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

The electronics gadgets really help DGD. The "fish" in the crib is nice, she plays with the buttons a little, the water is soothing and the little light makes it not so dark all of a sudden so the transition to sleep is good. I like that it's on a timer and after a while turns itself off. The DVD player keeps me from going crazy watching minnie or barney nonstop hour after hour. She runs around and plays, then comes back to the dvd, but I can still watch news, etc. in the same room. How did we ever raise our chillin' without all this?

She slept in an hour this morning (I put her to bed an hour later last night  ) and it was heaven!

DWash. is running. I should get myself a project to do around here while things are quiet. I've walked the dog a couple times, she should be good for a while.

Those of you with kids around all the time, especially little ones, bwtg getting any cards done or any semblance of order maintained. I did not do so well when mine were toddlers.

48*-70* Today's temps. it's already up a couple of deg.
I'm up coffee is made.
I've fed the hens. The ones I wanted before up the road have been listed on Craig's-list ~ it would be way to easy for me to collect chickens but one is a hen that's raised chicks would love to have her but they were out in the wild I could feed 'em up to eating size. H. would have a fit! But it's so much fun! They are not really one of the breeds on my wish list ~ sigh~ hold me back! They have already eaten the mini corn muffins I put out for them last night in case I slept in which I did. Those are a hit home made crumbles, they love the thawed pumpkin as well.

I have rinsed off the driveway. We've had rain here over nite yea the air is clear and clouds are going going gone & sun is out now.

We have some fun things to do today plus A few chores as well. Open house at the feed store w/ chili as customer appreciation I need to see if they have smaller bags of feed that I can list.

Hair day here.

Grandkids will be here for a sleep over this evening. Harmony I remember those fish things that hang on the crib. Dgd #2 had one.
Now ours are all big enough to pick up their own hot spots when they are here and dgd does not want help!

Well, we just had some excitement - We are getting packed up and ready for the road and our bedroom slide wouldn't come in. So 5 other guys came over and gave us help and it is in. We won't put it out until we get home (tomorrow!!!!) We can sleep with it in.

It runs on cables with a little motor. One of the cables came off so it was off balance. One guy found the off cable and fixed it - another helped DH take the trim off the head of the bed to get to the motor - another helped balance it and I pushed the button to bring it in. So all is good except we are an hour behind where we want to be.

Rally was wonderful - good friends and new ones too. We hope to get to Tucson tonight at 255 miles and then home tomorrow with 244 miles.

Hate it when those slides DON'T (slide that is) Hold my breath when it comes time for ours as there's nobody else here to help. Friends w/MH 3 away have a 'cog' missing in theirs so have left the bedroom/kitchen slides in for their last weeks here. They have an appointment in Tampa in Nov.
People next to us discovered they had a leak in their hydraulics and dh got that fixed for them. I've seen lots of lifting & pushing to get some in though.

I would so much like to go to this memorial service, but know my health is more important at this point.

Happy homecoming, MT!

Dee, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. The microwave thing on your chest sounds very soothing, too. I hope you'll get back on your feet and to feeling well soon. :D

MT you have so many miles to go. You'll love being home again. :D

Nancy, Your hens eat such unusual things! I didn't know chickens did that. :?:

Harmony, The "fish" in the crib thing sounds fun for a little one. (I needed 1 of those last night!)

Twins' Mom, It's sure cute when she's easier to love when she doesn't live with you all the time. ;)

OKay, Sorry about the 2 calendars not getting checked. It sounds like it will work out though. :D

Helia, It sounds like you're enjoying your trip so much! :D That's great!

Yesterday was busy for DH and me around the house. I fell asleep in the recliner from 4:15 - 5:20 p.m. Last night, in bed, I couldn't get to sleep until 2 a.m. DH informed me last p.m. he did work yesterday so he could watch college football today, which is fine because he did do a lot.

I have a market book coming for novelists and short story writers today. I ordered a bright red ribbed turtleneck and purple ribbed turtleneck last night. Then, after I placed the order, I realized I have 2 identical loose, long, 3/4-length sleeve cardigans and 1 is red and 1 is lavender, so they'll match the turtlenecks! :!: :D I didn't even plan it that way, but now I'm hoping the shades of each will blend in with each other.

My PODA for today while DH watches college football and tends the fireplace insert is:
1- To read & write
2- To walk 1/2 hour
3- To do the toilets and clean the bathrooms
4- To clean the kitchen
5- To crochet on gift crochet

Everybody have a wonderful Simple Saturday. If I don't get everything done on my PODA list, it's because I decided to simplify my Simple Saturday.

Morning y'all...

Waving to everyone. I slept with the windows open last night YEAH!!!!

Had my coffee, picked up footprints and am now heading outside to play....digging in the dirt again. Sweetie and I are going out this afternoon to see a movie and then eat dinner. We may attend a car show afterwards...ahhhh, I love fall.

The state fair is here. I checked the schedule and think we will try to go later this week. I like to look at the live stock and the cows, lambs, goats and pigs will be there then. This weekend the bunnies are in and the following week its the chickens. Know there are a few of you that would enjoy that.

College football is on today and Lucylee's team has been picked to win. Next week is the big game for me. My son's team, the other AL university plays Twin's daughters team at her home. Biggest game of the year. I told my son today I am STILL wearing orange, and a big YES that I do believe in miracles.

Outside is calling...enjoy your day.....

Home with ddog meds and groceries. I also walked through Hob Lob but found nothing that called out to me. I think I'd rather get a couple of real pumpkins for the front porch and some mums, maybe. Got sushi at grocery for my lunch.

Dh has convinced dd to go to the mall with him. He really wants to hang out with her and she's being a pretty good sport about it. She started a load of laundry before she left and I told her I'd put it in the dryer for her.

I'm going to nap for a bit now, then will make kugel.

Ok, time for this cough to abate. Felt awful I couldn't go with dh to service, but I'm in no shape. :| Dneighbor is taking our golf cart and my German potato salad with her. Naturally the camper guy came as she was about to walk out the door. (Her water heater stopped working).

Guess I'll look in my stash of meds to see if I have anything to dry up my nose and quell the hacking.

My thoughts & mind for the next hour will be with all those dfriends as we/they celebrate this life. Be back after that.

Took a c o r i c i d i n cold & flu, see if that helps.

Does anyone have a recipe for a homemade mix for: Sugar Free French Vanilla Capuccino? I have a small bin of it, but it's at least a 50-60 mile round trip to get more. Had I known I was going to like it so well, I would have bought more when we were there.
