Good morning! It is a gorgeous morning here! Clear sunny skies. Too bad the leaves are past their prime -- but there is still a lot of color out there. It is cooler, 40s. I'm leaving soon to drive dd14 out to the youth group retreat location, about an hour away. She and dh went to see Mary Poppins last night. I opted out, so one of our tickets never got used. (It was originally for dd17 who went on the retreat last night.) I was too tired. I ended up getting TJ enchiladas (7 WW points), watching a Jane Austen movie, and falling asleep on the sofa doing a sudoku puzzle. I slept about 10 hours last night.

Anyhow, I just wanted to pop in and say "hi." I'm hoping to get in a jog today -- considering the weather, I'm kind of happy I didn't get to it yesterday. And maybe I can get those front bushes trimmed back for the winter. Small group is at 5; I'm bringing a salad. First, a jump in the shower and then I'll be on the road for a couple hours. . . .

Twins - good catch! :P You take such good care of your VDFurkids. POTB!

I cooked breakfast burritos this morning and made extra to make tomorrows breakfast easy.

LO is doing drum practice......there no need to check up and see what he is up to.

Hair is in curlers. I'm trying some new-to-me styling product. Will give a review of it If I love it.

I've done a little puttering. Beginning to bring the rest of our clothes out of the bedroom that I need to pack. Was going to unload and re-pack our 2 travel suitcases. But, have decided I'll do that in the hotel in Lancaster. Just don't have that much energy and I'm trying to save it for needful things. (Shades of Kathryn & Harmony here). At least I know mine is pretty well med related. I have already broken my glipizide in half for tonight -see how that works. Don't want to mess with it very much. My Dr is only in on Wednesday and Friday now. Not sure of the reason. So not real sure her nurse, whom I've spoken with mostly, will be in on the other days or not.

Hope to take grocery items and Christmas gifts to DS-A's on our way to church today. That will be that much more out of here. It's crummy out and I know I need to start packing the car. Doubt that there will be a lot of 'between rain drops' time today, tomorrow or Monday! :|

Beginning to sound like we might have a lot of 'rest' time once we get to Lancaster. Guess I'd rather be in a hotel than in the RV in hurricane force winds. My biggest fear (of all time) is flooding roads! How I wish we could leave Monday. Very, very doubtful and if we did it would be dark -that's no good either.

Think I'm procrastinating on getting these scalloped onions going. I'll have them pretty well cooked before they go in the crockpot, so guess I'll wait for about an hour and in they go!

Good morning every one. Glad to be safe on Sat. here.
I got a surprise was posting away happily in the other threads and back yard and card file when a power surge happened so had to unplug router for ten min. did some on the kitchen it was in dire need of help!
Thanks for thinking of me while I was off line. Did get a big book read sort of like a text book and quite a bit of journaling. Back of the house and basement looks good but the kit. & dining room not-so-much.

Went to pick up Rx I'd called in earlier in the week for refills and they did not get the fax going to the dr. so will be running out of one of my pills and h.'s too. Not urgent ones but ~sigh~ frustrating hearing you when you have similar probs. with Rx issues here gals.

Sharing TV last night was a challenge we were both out of sorts a bit here h. fianly gave up and watched his show wrestling in silence .

I was coughing a bit last night the damp weather is not so much fun for me. Today there is an open house at a feed store I'd like to go to they have chili we could have for lunch there and I need teenager chicken food as hens are not laying. A movie we want to see is later on. Dgson's football game looking like we will not go to h. isn't up and at em yet.

Just wanted to let you all know I missed you and am SO glad to be back on line! I had pretty bad p/c with drawls the first day.

Happy birthday and Anniversary greetings and blessings to any that I missed!

I have donated books recently to the library glad to get the room in my book shelf! YEA!!!

Dgd loves to rake leaves with me on the nice days she rakes and I collect them and bag em up not too many are down yet so we are staying current with this tasks.

Still playing catch up on reading posts. With no 4 g avalible here yet, & before I knew if my pc was fixable I was considering letting go of cable and getting unlimited data for our phones ~ to access the net that way. It would be great for Bible study nite!
Thought I had backed up my system on my flash drive but it did not work sigh oh well I guess I need to learn how to do that now! Just sent dson a message for help on that!

This week I had put something out of grand daughters reach she was banging with and the next time when she was here she pushed the chair over and got it down! ~Sigh~ I need to find a better hiding spot. I nap while holding her when she watches a movie or part of
it then get up to do some thing else.

Church is having a deck the halls party for decorating h. is not able to help wondering if that might be good for me indoor exercise for me. I think it's tomorrow.

I have caught up on one week's posts will do some kitchen stuff and reward will be getting to read more after another round and the dining room table needs some attn. as well.

I found a child's crayon apron at the thrift shop and dgd spotted it put it on and asked to make cookies one of my fonder memories of the past couple of weeks!

When dson was here bringing back my p/c oh happy day!
He said he would take his washer back so that was on my to do's to see about that. So getting that out of the car port decluttering an area for us will be great. Using google chrome and yahoo helps with my favs.! Sent self e-mails from the lib. with links to here and movie line to save time they have a 30 min. time limit there. In case you ever need a tip like that! They use IE and I was quite lost w/out my google chrome.

Now for the patio it's looking quite cluttery as I have stuff stacked up against the fence to keep chickens in the back yard for now until we can get some thing different. Today it's too rainy.

I have my BWP in the back of my journal it was a life saver this past few weeks.

It was so rainy yesterday I had dgson do all of his reading while he was here he was not too happy about it but he could not go outside anyway to play with friends down the street and I knew he had stuff going on the rest of the weekend.

Dee I had to raise my insulin to carb. ratio and take less for nite time dose and have not had crashes in a while. Thanks for asking.

So good to see you back, Nancy. Been thinking about you and BS crashes since mine seems to be going pretty low. Felt the effects today until nearly 11a.m. I'm still a bit 'shaky'.

Do have my pearl onions going in the crockpot and poured the roux over it a few minutes ago. Now am hoping they're done and hot by 4 o'clock. :? I should have taken the onions out of the freezer a couple of hours ago and let them thaw. Well, I can hope (for the best).

Going in to check our closets for any more clothes and get as much packed as I can -giving myself 20 minutes at a time today. Off for this first 20>>>>>>>>

Nice to have you back, nancy! That is cute about dgd and the apron. I think I am going to ask for an apron for Cmas; I think just wearing one will inspire me to work -- maybe that thought is wrong but I'm going to try it anyway. LOL!

Dd14 has been dropped off at the retreat, and dd17 has been brought home. It was ultimately not so helpful for her. I've had some lunch. I'm going to finish a.m. routine and then attack the overgrown bushes in front of my house. I'll go jogging around 3 pm. I've invited dd17 to join me, if only for a walk. It is a very pretty route, along a river. Getting some fresh air and exercise is a healthy thing to do. She is happy to be home, though.

Good Morning to Everyone! :D

Nancy, I missed seeing you here! It's like (in a good way), you're a fixture on the page. I missed you. It's nice to see you back.

Dee, I love pearl onions. Your cooking makes me so hungry for some good food! I love crockpot things; DH does NOT, but guess what? ;) Our DIL gave me a little 1.5 qt. one so I can get that out and use that. I know how to make a baking sweet potato in it! :D How cool is that? ;) Have you ever made stuffed cabbage rolls in your crockpot? Yummy! So good! :D

I hope you get more energy and stability today.

DH turned 71 today! :D It's an on and off dark dismal raining day, too. Ugh.

OKay, Breakfast burritos? You guys are making me HUNGRY! I eat Greek yogurt for breakfast.

I hope the new-to-you=styling product works. :)

Helia, You're so lucky to have a beautiful morning there! You slept 10 hours? They say when you sleep it's your beauty sleep, so you must be gorgeous this morning! WTG for hoping to go job, too. My left ankle's sore and swollen so I'll wear a little ankle brace on it today.

Waving to Twins' Mom, Harmony, Scattered and you others I've not mentioned.

Helia, Oh, an apron for C'mas would be such a good gift! Do you sew? You can sew them, too. The Dollar Store or The Dollar Tree might have them. I know Walmart does and so do those neat little kitchen stores. When I grow up, I'm gonna get myself a pinafore apron! ;)

Booksaver, YES! APRONS ARE MAGIC!!!!! They turn us homemakers into Super Hero gals who clean like a white tornado! That makes me sound like I'm wearing my apron backwards like a cape, but I'm not! Honest! There is just something about an apron that puts us in the mentality of "we're gonna get stuff done now!". Know what I mean? :?:

Have a GR8 day! I'm spending a nice day with DH, my "old" man who turned 71 today, but he really looks like he's about 65! He has olive skin, he's got thick shoulders, kept his muscle mass and didn't lose it like some oldsters do, he looks good, has energy, and you've never believe he's 71! He amazes me! His b-day cake is a white one, round, with white frosting and a bunch of balloons on it, too. I got him $, so he can buy himself an XBOX game, if he wants or whatever he wants to get himself. He's terrible to buy for!

Oh, there I go again! Rambling on and on! You all take care and those of you in the path of Sandy, I just read Sandy's a hurricane again, so you stay safe and I'll say some prayers for those on the East Coast today, too. I hope Sandy will fizzle out soon! Have a GR8 day, Everybody! :D

Dee, I'm thinking that your A1C was still high from earlier in the summer when your meds weren't working as well - I recall you wondering if it was stress or you got a bad batch of meds, and that you may not need the glyburide your doc thinks you need right now because your BS has stabilized back at the lower level? (Dr Twins here, reporting in. :P )

DMacs "isn't able to concentrate his urine" sorry if TMI, but no infection. We await the results of the liver needle aspiration next week to find out what's going on with him.

I had a mega run of errands and getting around. A nice walk through Hob Lob and bought some burlap for a table runner. Then to Staples for office supplies and Target where I got a lot of the groceries and a bunch of other things, then dry cleaners and grocery. I stopped at grocery and went back after I checked out to go back and speak to an acquaintance - a congregant and she blistered my ears about the rabbi until I got her diverted to other things to talk about. No good deed goes unpunished.

I am going to nap now myself. This is Shabbat, a day of rest!

I'm 99% cuop now ci for last week following
Last Sat. found us at dgson's fbgame; the sun was out it was pleasant, then later on we went to see the movie Preium Rush at the $1. oo moives it was good. This week's movie pick is the next in the "Borne Identity" series I think it's the last one but you never know they might make another one.

Last Sun. was a drive to see the leaves it was good to get out of town before the snows fell in the mtns. the next day!
I loved the discussion on Tues. about Enthusiasm boy have I needed some of that this week!

Mid week I was working on getting some journaling stuff done, and a letter off to my mom and sis alternately these past couple of weeks.

I had granny duty E.O.D. and that kept me busy.
Did some errands to keep me out of trouble to fetch new on sale coffee maker for $9.99.
