Well, shucky darn. Car dealership just called and car we want to look at has not yet arrived. So that messes up a whole bunch of plans. If I knew that I would have gone shopping yesterday when I could have gotten a Sr. discount. But I didn't want to go to town two days in a row. But we need some groceries NOW.

Maybe I will go shopping while DH gets his stress test done tomorrow. It is supposed to take 2 - 3 hours so I could do the groceries then. If I take the cooler along - I can put any frozen food or meat in that and it will hold until we get home.

Now that I'm up - phone call woke us - I suppose I should do something. We went over to neighbor's house to look at his remodeled shower (same carpenter we want to use) and the house looked like something out of a magazine. He lives alone and I expected a bachelor pad, but it was perfect. Came home very discouraged. He even had the table set for 4 with wine glasses with no dust - even his shop looked better than my house. VERY eye opening.

Blessed - Thanks for that link! I had forgotten how real and funny P&P are.

I'm thinking about Kathryn comments about eating out being a treat. I too have considered it that, but have begun to think of it as a hindrance in eating healthy.

MT - new car? What make/model are you considering?

I sidetracked into looking at other P&P youtube videos. Youtube has sooo much to offer that it needs a warning sign for those who tend to sidetrack. :D I do find some humor that I'm sidetracking by watching P&P who taught me how to overcome my sidetracking tendencies.

LO doctor office just called and they are moving his surgery from Monday to the 30th. :( They are giving LO slot in surgery center to high priority cancer patient that can't wait.

Well I called the clinic at 9:02. I am cleaned up and ready to go if they want me to come in for a UA. I am hoping that they will just put me on an antibiotic. Since I am going tomorrow, if it is a UTI, it would still show up. If it doesn't then I could discontinue it. No telling how long I will have to wait for an answer. :(

OKay - we are looking at a Ford Fusion SE. It will stay here in AZ and then will be used a lot here when we don't travel any more. I'm getting my ducks in a row for when we stay here all year or most of the year. More economical than the pickup and will seat 5 in a lot more comfort than the 2 in the pickup. Now we can never take anyone with us.

I only had to wait an hour and a half for a call back from the nurse. They want me to come in for a UA, but she wants me to wait 30 minutes to give her time to get the request to the lab. I can do that. I am hoping for a UTI, otherwise I have a problem. I am having burning pain when I urinate, with traces of visible blood. That is not good if there is no sign of infection. Sorry if TMI. I haven't had a UTI in almost 2 years. The first 2 years after the diabetes diagnosis, I had them frequently. Then after the bladder problem I had 2 years ago, I quit having them. One of the times, I was so sick that I went to the ER. They said I had a raging UTI. I wasn't able to get into see a dr. because mine was out of town. That time I didn't have the normal signs of a UTI, I was just sick with lots of pain.

This serves to remind me, that on all the days I feel fine, I tend to take them for granted. I know I am not the only one who does this, so why do we do it? I need to be more thankful for good health.

I have just returned from the clinic. There was a lady in the lab who had a seizure over the weekend and was told by ER to see her dr. this week. She does not have a dr. and no insurance. They sent her upstairs to talk to someone in the internal medicine dept. She looked to be of Middle Eastern descent. Several of our internal medicine drs. are also of Middle Eastern descent. So I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Regardless, I hope someone will take care of her medical concerns.

I was rather surprised but they went ahead and did my bloodwork for tomorrows appt. Since I had already eaten breakfast, I didn't expect it. At least, I won't have to make 2 trips there in the morning by 9:00 am.

Hello dear ladies,

Another day of cold morning and warming up to 50's for my walk. It is sunny and really quite pleasant. 8-)

Yes I sing while I work. Usually have ear buds in and at least sing the chorus of the song. Of course family thinks it's a bit nutty of me, I tell them I'm part of the back-up singers. Also if it's a catchy beat, I sometimes dance around to it--70's style.

Have done a lot of my dailies again today. Will work on more of them this afternoon. Whittled away at the weeklies too. Think I have 10 Weeklies left to do which means if I can do 3 a day they'll be done with before Friday when I start my long work days. ;)

Going to take a shower now. Sometimes the shower tires me out and my energy disappears so hoping that's not the case today.

Great day to all!

Okay, wanted to mention O.k.l.a.h.o.m.a F.a.r.m B.u.r.e.a.u for insurance. We've been with them for many years.

Was started for farmers years ago, but now anyone can be in it. There are a lot of rural and small town customers. There is a small yearly membership fee around 30 dollars but the premiums are quite reasonable.
