I don't know that I've confessed that I hum while working - both payroll work and at home. Sometimes gets on others nerves, hence I am somewhat isolated at work. It is unconscious and dd does the same.... :?

Just walked ddogs and heading toward the shower. 35 degrees this morning - we haven't had a hard frost yet. Busy day at work, then temple exec committee meeting, then pick up dh at the airport. I need to get home between exec committee meeting and trip to airport to let ddogs out to potty....also need to pick up milk today. Have a li&t that I made yesterday too.

Just whistle while I work......... Unfortunately I have to leave in 15 minutes to take gd14 to school. Then I'll wait around for an hour or so to go our women's meeting at church at 9:30. From there we'll probably go to dbil/dsil's. Haven't been over for more than a few minutes since we got here 9 days ago. We've had something going on every day and the rest of this week is no different. Busier here than I've been in ages.

DD, DSIL & GD have a birthday party they're going to tonight. Think there's just enough leftovers from the last couple of nights for dh and me. Nice -don't have to think about dinner preparation.

Need to stop at the grocery store and pick up some vegetable steamers tonight -have several coupons & they're 50% off. Need to buy potatoes for mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving dinner at church tomorrow night.

Looks like they're going to start paving this road so we're going to try to get out of here before they do. Later>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Good Morning!

LO still has cold symptoms (runny nose, cough) but is well enough to attend school. His surgery has been rescheduled for next Monday, so i am hopeful his health will continue to improve.

Today I return to normal schedule. Uhmmmm.....more honestly stated.....I will attempt to get back on schedule (I am already 1.5 hour behind). My goal is progress....not perfection.

Thanks for starting us off with such a cheerful thought, scattered!
I love to think of you humming while you work, Twins.
Glad LO is on the mend, OK. Normal schedule sounds good. Yes, I always tell myself improvement, not perfection is the goal.
Sounds like a pleasant day, Dee.

Thank you for your kind comments re: dd17 last night, Lilac. She is not perfect and definitely has her issues and her moments; But she fundamentally does want to do the right thing. She actually is mature for her grade b/c of the snafu re: fall birthdate cut offs when we moved here from TX. I'm very thankful for that at the moment; if she were a Sr. with her current level of anxiety issues, I'm not sure how that would impact her college search. Now, she has another year to grow and learn to deal with issues before we even enter that process.

Ramblings re: high school romances: I do have a friend I highly respect who says she and her dh like their kids to have their first romantic encounter while in hs so they can guide the teen through it a bit, give advice, etc. I'd never thought about it that way; this is a very healthy family. But you can't force it, can you? No romance for ds18 is hs; I think some of his personal habits probably contributed to that -- but he's growing in that area. Dd17 is actually quite pretty but doesn't do much with her appearance to bring that out. She wears bulky sweatshirts that hide her nice little figure; she doesn't even own make up (neither does dd14), she went to school today with her lovely blond curls in 2 braids, she has been wearing her glasses rather than her contact lenses. . . . I figure (hope!) she'll grow into that in time. Her anxiety may play into that too; when a boy has paid attention to her in the past, she's come home concerned about him stalking her.

OK - enough rambling. I'm off to s2s.

I have a drs. appt. tomorrow. I was up and down all night going to the bathroom. I am thinking I have a UTI, so I will call and see if I can come in today for a UA. Tried to talk myself into waiting until tomorrow, but I don't want it getting worse, if I do have one.

Ready for bed.

Oh, wait, it is morning.

I'm s2s and sipping on tea. Thinking I probably should have had regular tea not decaf.

I had a Presbytery meeting in the village just 5 miles from here tonight but still will have to drive into the city because I forgot to pull the Advent resources to highlight at my table tonight.

So I think I'll go in around lunch time and treat myself to lunch and dinner out tonight.

Just remembered that dh's dinner for tonight we had last night so grocery shopping is in order too once I figure out what he wants. Or he could just drop me at my meeting tonight and then go out for Chinese. I'll negotiate with him when he gets downstairs.

Thanks Twins!

((((Lilac)))) UTI are not fun. I hope you are able to get quick help.

Blessedw2 - Oh No! I hope DD results have good news.

TA-DA -
** LO to school. Talked to his teacher about current & upcoming concerns.
** Home insurance papers gathered. Car titles and insurance papers gathered. All bundled together and given to DH. He is going to meet with insurance agent in hopes of obtaining home insurance for this next year. We are down to final days before our home insurance is cancelled due to living in the country in a drought environment. :(
