Good Morning, Villagers!
DH is going to fix the coffee this a.m.
I sure can use it today. Feel a bit of a headache.
Scattered, It's great you got a new job and get mileage, too!
MT, It's great that your friend is published.
Booksaver, I love your user name. It describes me to a "T"!
Do you have a lot of book cases in your house or do you use the library, primarily?
Kathryn, I hope your knee gets better soon!
Waving to Helia, Blessed, Lucylee, Dee, Sunny, OKay, and Harriet.
I'm a bit concerned about Ddil and her amniotic fluid level.
I keep praying the baby will be healthy when she gets here. Our Ddil is having so many problems. She had shingles, viral meningitis, a blood infection, and now this.
I keep hoping and praying. It's all I can do and crochet for the baby, which means I still have hope, which I do have.
DH is out of the shower now, on his way to fix the fire and then coffee. Asked him to make mine strong,
It's Conga Day a.k.a. Apron Day in my house. I sure hope I'll be able to get with it and do some cleaning.
Plan to write a DF a letter, too. Since big storms are coming in for the weekend, I'll need to catch up on laundry because it's better to have everything caught up in case the power goes out, although DH has a generator. Won't wash clothes using a generator.
We have our errands all done. DH went to an afternoon luncheon yesterday and did errands on his way home.
And then he mailed the box of baby girl clothes I made, to go to Dson and Ddil. I'm "hoping" that when Ddil sees the adorable clothes and little pink Mary Jane's with the white flower, she gets even more excited and takes really-really good care of herself. Not that she's not, but these things might even make her be healthier.
Better go! Coffee's coming! Have a great Friday, Everybody!

DMIL called crying while we were eating lunch and told us to turn the TV on. I spent 30 minutes sitting in front of it ...too numb to comprehend. I had to force myself to turn the tv off. (((((HUGS))))
Staying focused on what I can do.
Just do the next thing.
One card at a time.

I turned on the TV to catch the weather and then saw the news and I spent a lot of the morning sitting in front of it ... how awful trying to wrap my brain around that and shut it off at 11 o'clock. Wondering why these things seem to happen on Fri.
(((((HUGS))))
I've done a few things I new needed done BS was up ear sinus acting up glad I did not have any thing urgent scheduled this morning as I slept in.

We have sunshine today so that is good I"m going to try to do some of those 2-3 min. cards and then progress to the 5 min. ones that
Okay mentioned and see what I can get done around here in the next while. I'll be joining you.
Homework was back to fiasco status again last night but glad I'd put the spelling words in a composition notebook so we could work on those last night with dgson.

I was on my way home from running errands and called my DSis1 to tell her my good news and she told me what was going on.
OMG - Kindergarten kids and his own DMom!!! What a sick unhappy human being! Will give DS13 a HUGE (((HUG))) when he gets home.
Errands run took way longer than expected, WM did not have what I needed
College took less than a minute.
Then had to drive 15 miles away to J oann's to get the zippers. Ended up finding a remnant that will make a perfect throw blanket for DFS. Called car loan company while I was out and found out that I only owe just over $600 on the note, if I can I am going to send them 1 big payment to pay it off.
Got home and got DS20 out of bed to help, he unloaded the car, peeled potatoes, diced potatoes, put them in the pot with water, helped stir, then helped at least partially clean-up the kitchen. He really has grown into a wonderful young man.
I am taking a quick break before I go mash the potatoes and finish putting the Shepherd's Pie together.
Plans have changed DS13 is now babysitting for the ESL for parents class until 7pm, so DS20 will run the Shepherd's Pie to school at 5pm and then pick-up DS13 at 7pm... gives me time to sew.
ToDo/TaDa's
coffee
d2s
check recipe
pull-out meat to thaw
check kitchen supplies
college to drop off appeal
WM
J oann's
Home to start running
Reboot B&E w(/) d() f() p/a()
put in zipper
sew together Mother's Jacket
Cut out fleece (may or may not get to this today)
Make MP
Make Shepperd's Pie
Dinner... hopefully I will have enough Shepherds Pie for us.

MT - I didn't turn it on until I was at a place where I could be sucked in... it is so sad.
(((Hugs and Prayers to All))) - Especially to all our teachers!
I will be adding all those impacted to my prayers tonight.
Spoke with DS13 and he said that he had heard about it by overhearing a Teacher talking about it on the way out. Not sure if I like that or not, I remember when the first Space Shuttle blew up they came in and interrupted class to tell us and then discuss it. I was in 8th grade (same as DS13), I remember it very quickly because my reaction was to
thinking that it was some sick joke.
At this point I may have to change our plans for tomorrow, since not much is getting done today.

Scattered I heard rumors in the lunch line when Pres. Kennedy was shot I was in 3rd grade. Heard one school had a info. lock down so kids could hear from their parents about it so will take that as my cue. Big hugs for dgson when he comes home tonight who cares about home work on a Fri. as long as they are safe! This really puts things in to a diff. perspective doesn't it?
I was just out on our deck and saw a few flakes of snow falling here. So I'm cancelling all errands today here.
Looks like I might need to get a plan for dinner going.

I have a happy movie on now.
sweep x
vacuum x
master bathroom spiff x
main bath spiff underway
Next up some mopping
and granny duty.
Tomorrow dgd has a bb tourney at the hs so we will be helping with transportation for that and going to some of that.
