No significant snow in our forecast. We have 100% chance of rain tomorrow w/ a high of 46. There might be some snow on Friday, but no accumulation and highs are still above freezing. . ..

Morning y'all....
I did most of my working yesterday. Finally all my decorations are up. This morning I need to straighten up some boxes in my guest bedroom and then I will be done. Sweetie and I have reservations at a resort for Xmas dinner. I am looking forward to that. I love prime rib and it will be nice to share a Xmas meal with sweetie where I done have to do the cooking.

It is burr shiver here this morning and I'm lovin it. Have a lol to fold and put away. Then I am going to walk Willis. Also have a zumba class at 11. That is always good for a sweat and a laugh.

Scattered... First day of work is always exciting. Twins I'll be dog walking soon too. Sending good thoughts for dgd's surgery I'd be excited about loosing the pain too. Okay I have myfitnesspal site. You can find me under Ramblinrose13. I am finding interesting studies that suggest ones weight may influence the frequency of migraines. This time last year I was 13lbs lighter so I am interested to see if this applies to me. I have weighed less and still had headaches, so not sure if loosing weight would effect me, but it's worth a try.

Off to fold laundry. Cya'll later.....

Good Morning, Villagers! :D

Scattered, Congratulations and have a good 1st day on the job, too! :)

I woke up at 6 a.m. due to the storm here. DH said it's nothing compared to the one we had the other day, which I slept through! But he sleeps though this one and I'M awake! Oh, well. At least it's making the snow, very little of it here, go away.

My plans today are to finish the dog I'm working on, wrap/bag gifts, do some cleaning, and get ready for Christmas Eve. DH might go to the store today, when the storm dies down, too. I'll start baby stuff when the dog's done, which is a happy focus for me. Ddil is 26 weeks along now.

Everybody have a good Working Wednesday! Take care and enjoy your day, too. :D

Sitting a donut shop with free wifi.

Doctor's appointment is over. I'll have two more blood draws (Feb and April) and then see him in June. If nothing is out of the ordinary, he'll declare me healed. He was surprised I was still exhausted. And then said mono takes months to get over. Well, so does hepatitis!

I'm just overwhelmed and can't get myself to even try and quantify/qualify the things left to be done. My blood pressure was very high for me, 150/73 (normally around 110 over 60) and I questioned it because it was so out of whack. The nurse didn't think it was a big deal but I'll start tracking it at home. I don't usually have 'white coat syndrome' so I'm guessing my exhaustion and the fact I had to pee might have had something to do with it, as well as, well, you know, Christmas! But it is worth watching.

I did manage to write the grace for tonight. Since this is a large public (not church) group so not necessarily all Christian or believers in any higher power, it makes it slightly more tricky but that's where Universal Love comes in handy. People can't hear the capitals in that so if they are non-believers it is not jarring or offensive, and if they are believers, they simply translate in their heads.

Today is definitely a working Wed. for me here. s2s done, made coffee, breakfast done, made bed, sort and started laundry time to get the next load going now. Scrubed the tub too. No granny duty until after school.

Harmony & Harriet; re: Eggs! Yes these are good new hens we have here. A couple of the younger ones are on duty to chase off wild birds out of their food I noticed that they were working as a team when the wild ones came near they came running from across the yard! Glad to see that it will save me $ on feed.

What hours are you using the light? We used ours in the morning, the last 2 days turning it on about 6 to extend the day. I've been turning it on at 4 ish in the afternoon and off between 8-9. According to h. I could turn it on at 3 and off at 8 so I plug it in sometime just before dusk. In the morning for apx. an hour around six. The people we got them from said to try that. These new to use hens have been on a light all fall so they did not quit laying. P. Allen Smith said to do it at night so there are diff. schools of thought on it.

30* this morning and they were all outside in the run on the roost when I checked the hen house last night around seven.

I do not think any of the barred rocks are laying at the moment. Only got two eggs yesterday.

Okay let us know how that new gin r. treatment works for your mom! Might try it w/ h. if it works I've heard of it before but not tried it.

Making progress.....

Cowinkle - I sent you a friend request on MyFitnessPal.

When i delivered LO to school, we saw others were bringing gifts to principal and aides. LO was dismayed that he didn't have anything to give them. These are very important people in LO school life that he interacts with on a daily basis....I should have realized that. OOps! I can't remember who we used to give gifts to years ago when our children were attending school, but I wouldn't be surprised to know it was multiple people. ANYway....it was a minor blunder that I can easily fix before the Christmas party happens this afternoon. Since i gave his teacher a food gift card I went back and got more for LO to give as gifts to his other important school people. Problem solved.

I've been doing 3 minute room rescues. I'm always amazed at how much I can accomplish with a full force effort for 3 minutes......reset timer...attack next room ....reset timer...attack next room...repeat repeat repeat

DH decided this morning to make the 2 hour road trip to get extra chemicals for MPB because everyone was talking about blizzard. I just looked at our forecast and don't see anything except a warning for blowing dirt......one of the side effects of being in a long drought.

Dgd16 is now in a room. Everything went fine. I am going to the hospital. I don't think that I will be staying with her, but can if I need to. Thank you for your caring thoughts and prayers.

It's a beautiful, crisp sunny day here. I wish I had some of the snow many of you are expecting. Not blizzard snow, mind you :) , but a few inches would look so pretty.

I'm focusing on laundry & grocery lists today, with some cleaning thrown in. I need to pull out all my recipes that I'll be using for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, plus New Years Eve. After writing up a grocery list I need to inventory freezer & pantries to be sure I don't buy what I already have. Then I'll ask dh to go to the store. A few years ago I was sick & dh volunteered to do the grocery shopping. It was such a help that I decided to make it part of our holiday traditions :P . I have to keep the phone handy because he usually makes a few phone calls from the store.

Happy first day of work at your new job, Scattered :) ! Hope you love it there.

OKay, I'd like to hear the gin raisin update, too, as my dmom has arthritis pain.

Kathryn, that is so clever to buy a basic black dress & use colored scarves to represent the liturgical colors!

How nice to have all the kids home, Helia. I made powdered milk once after the hurricane & it was good. I plan on always having a box in the house from now on.

Fingers crossed that the snow plowers stay off your property this year, Bookie.

Hi Twins, too bad we don't live near each other -- we could walk our dogs together :) .

Hope you get a better night of sleep tonight, MT. Have fun painting.

Had to smile at your even-steven comment, Harriet. I spend close to the same amount on my dnieces & dnephews but I still remember one year, when the amount spent on each was exactly the same. Dniece got a total of 4 gifts to dnephews 3 & he commented on it. Never mind that her 4th gift was an inexpensive little hair clip -- to him it was still uneven.

Praying for your dd surgery today, Lilac, & for a quick & painless recovery.

Zumba class sounds fun, Cowinkie! :)

Enjoy making & wrapping gifts today, Ivy :)

Hi Nancy, it has been fun to ready about your hen & egg adventures! Smiled at the picture of hens chasing wild birds away from their food.

Waving ~~~ to Lynlee when she stops by :) .

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Just as I was ready to walk out the door, dd2 called. She was leaving to pick up some lunch, while her ex's wife comes to make an appearance. She will call me when she goes back.
