Morning ya'll...
I am thankful I could stay all snuggled up and warm in my bed this morning instead of having to jump out and head to work. And everyday I am thankful for my morning cups of coffee that I get to drink without having to gulp it down.
Harriet...I can't tell you how many times, especially on Monday mornings, that my boys would panic because they had left their pocket knives in their jacket's pocket. Sometimes my boys would be waiting for me at my classroom door. I would walk with them to the school office so they could leave their pocket knives with the secretary for the rest of the day. You'd be surprised what could be found in the secretary's desk drawers.
Nancy...I never thought I would enjoy learning about chickens as much as I have with you .
We are expecting very cold weather here for the next few days. Temp. highs are to be at 50*. And it is being predicted that we will have 4 nights of 30* weather. I've been told the last time that happened was in 1988. Several years ago I lost all my trees when the temps dropped below freezing for 3 nights in a row. So today I'm going to be wrapping sheets around the trunks of my trees and taping them closed. I was told that this will help the trees stay warm. Last time I thought it was the leaves I had to protect. I didn't know any better back then... I bought a bunch of sheets from GW last time and have them stored for just this occasion.
I made Olive Garden Pasta E Fagioli crock pot soup for dinner tonight...I posted the recipe. Made the pasta separate while getting the soup started so everything is done for dinner. Decide to make it before I knew about the cold weather so I think this will taste especially good in the coming days.
Washing my hands, washing my hands, washing my hands....Feel better Sadie. Yeah for you dee. What a relief to get that report done ...MT, dress warm..Its gonna be really cold for around here the next few days.
Cy'all later. Waiting for the sunshine so Willis and I can go walk.
