Hi everybody!
Recently I purchased the S crubbing B ubbles bathroom cleaner that starts out "Blue" and then turns white as it cleans... To me it looks more purple, but it still gets me to clean the bathroom a lot more "just for the fun of it".

On another site (W W American site) recently they were discussing shiny sinks and F lady emails, etc... I stayed well out of that conversation as I think a lot of the (mostly) female posters on that site sound like they really could use a site like hers but the emails overwhelm them from the very first day.
I came home from work on Thursday night to his ranting about how cluttered the bathroom was. We have 3 decorative shells on the top of the toilet tank. Right now there is also a plant that he bought in January that flowers once and that's it. (Amarylis) The ONLY other thing on the tank top was his hair brush. To him, that was clutter. It took me all of 2 seconds to pick up the brush and put it in the linen closet.
Today I need to do laundry and start packing for our next cruise. Mike and I stayed in bed until almost 1 today. We literally laid there and talked about our past 19 years together for 2 hours! We also touched on stuff that happened wayyyyy before we got together. Stuff from over 30 years ago. He's still sad that his first wife aborted his only child 33 years ago when he was 19. She was 40 and already had 2 teenagers.

Hi everyone!! I've been doing well not getting side-tracked today. Started off this morning by getting dd14 to synchro practice at 7:45 a.m. They switched their practice time today for some reason.
TaDas!
x dd14 to synchro practice at 7:45
x picked up ds from his dorm at 8 (he borrowed a car for a haircut appt. and he went shoe shopping later, etc.)
x cleaned up the kitchen
x paid 3 snail mail bills
x tidied the living room w/ the help of dh
x cleaned the 2 upstairs toilets
x ordered more reeds for dd14
x picked up dd14
x stopped by po box b/c I missed the mailman by 40 seconds
x finished the a.m. routine
x lunch
x family excitement as ds and dh messed with the router - b/c my email is having issues; ds eventually got it back up and working again. My email is still having issues.
x chatted w/ ds
x finalized groc. list
x groc. store
x took ds to shoe store; picked him up after I was done at the groc. store
x unloaded and put away groceries
x shoveled walk way in front of our house
I think I can finally work on my teaching, now that it is 2:15 pm.
This is how my days go. First, I'll switch laundry. I may/may not go for a jog later today, depending on how the teaching prep is going. I need to start cooking (simple dinner tonight - tamales, rice, grapefruit, likely a veggie too) early today so the girls can get to their indoor soccer game at 7 pm.
Dh and I are going to go see The Taming of the Shrew tonight; a British troupe is coming through and the University musical society has secured some on campus performances in the large performing arts theater.
Nice, but I can't work on teaching tonight.
Dh is out running errands with dd14 right now, interesting places like H ome De pot and Jo ann Fab rics. I think he'll take ds back to his dorm room when he returns.
I probably won't get to shoveling the slush/snow off our driveway; dh doesn't think it is necessary b/c temps will be above freezing this week. It isn't necessary, but it might be nice. . .

Harriet, dd14's X Ray yesterday was a check on her scoliosis; the pedi wanted to check it 6 months after it was discovered last summer to determine if it is increasing or if it is stable. Since dd14 has probably finished growing height-wise, the pedi suspects it will not change and will be very mild. We hope that is the case.

Helia, thanks for the update on the x-ray. I was curious too.
I got a load of laundry in the washer. Then got distracted and it buzzed done. I didn't do anything else in between.
Dh is at a drum lesson so I have some super-duper quiet house time. Now to be productive.

Waving from Sunday.
My Saturday was a day off, or an off day - depending your point of view.

I thought there was slim pickings on quotes for the 23.

then I stumbled back to this name and found this one from a couple of days ago.

I have started gardening a little when I put the dog out in the morning. It gets me dressed for starters. Pull some weeds. It feels good to be doing that again. Remembering the old old FL email that said - go outside and do something.

~~~~waving Hi to all~~~~~
Stopped by to CUOP because I'm addicted to the village doings.
Been a busy day with my little helper staying close by my side since he rolled out of bed this morning. We have steadily working all day. The weather has been beautiful so we spent several hours outside this afternoon. I dug up and moved 50% of the leeks and lambs ear and have them set up in their new location. I pulled all the bricks away from one of the raised beds and completely redid it. It looks much nicer now. I recently discovered the Mittleider gardening system and I have been zealously reading and watching youtube about it. I asked DH at lunch.....why am I so very interested in anything dealing with gardening? Why can't I be interested in getting our tax information to the CPA?
Not even going to cuop (at least right now). Just finished putting the last of our taxes in the priority mail envelope (after copying EVERYTHING and making sure I had everything listed). I've worked on them off and on today and was surprised when I was done. NICE surprise. Found some of it more confusing this year because dh had to roll over his 401k -I thought that had already been done a year or 2 ago and it NEEDED to be done. I was pretty confused as to why dh had less disbursements from our investments last year -but it just finally dawned on me. He had to take a disbursement Dec 2011 and it was taxed then and put in our account which gives us our monthly disbursement. Thus that amount was not taxed in 2012. He also made about $5,000 less at the campground. Some was because he had sick pay (disablility for a while). DH wants to know how much our return will be! Right -like I can tell. Sadly we can't do any charitable contributions because we no longer have our home. Well, it will be whatever it is.
GD just came home after being gone all week. So far, so good. DD's teacher friend wanted to keep her again last night.
DH has headed in for a shower and then it'll be time for bed. I didn't get up until after 8 this morning. Felt good!
The 4 of us went out for dinner last night. Seemed good to do for a change.
Noticed on FB that dgs13's hockey team (DS-A is their coach) won the championship game for their league today. Sure DS & DGS are quite happy. DDIL#1 posted a picture of the track that DGS8 had composed for Daytona. Obviously he put a lot of thought into this arrangement -sure looks like the Daytona track! He even has a safety crew in 1 corner and back-up cars in the haulers. Also saw a picture of his panels for his go-kart for WKA -he wanted a remembrance on their of the firemen who were shot nearby on Christmas Eve morning. And DS-R had the "Fight Like a Girl" breast cancer symbol put on in honor of DDIL#1. She's a 3-year survivor now. (Speaking of which DH will be a 50-year survivor this fall) Nice to see the thoughtfulness in those boys! I see it in DGS13 & DS-A a lot too. Maybe we did something right?
I am going to get it done today how are about you?
How about that? I did get 'er done and didn't even notice the title for today until now. And actually doing our taxes was pretty painless this year. Just hope I've got it all for our CPA up home. Will mail it with delivery confirmation on Monday (he always tells me not to spend the $$ to mail it priority -I just feel better and that's worth something.)
Was busy last couple of days trying to make airline flight and hotel reservations. DH will be flying up home on March 27th. I don't think I'm going much before May. Depends on when dd can get away. If gd is still here at that point, perhaps the teacher friend will keep her a few days. But then there's the problem of getting her to school -but it will all work out.
Had a yummy supper of chicken, fresh green beans and cantaloupe. Mmm-mmm.
I think, judging by the winning team picture, that ds-A has lost some weight over the winter. I rather thought he had when we saw him while they were down here a few weeks ago. That baby is already standing without holding on at 7 months. Thinks he's 'real big'.
Have to remember to ask ddil if he's been crawling. Know it's not good for them to miss the steps.
