Morning y'all...
Nancy, can you please explain this statement to me???
"I'm frustrated b/c we just get a thing down working and then the teach & dd decide to change it around." What do you mean by change it around??? I have some ideas I can share, but need to understand more.
Nice day here and I am headed outside. Woke with a headache but am pretending it doesn't exsist. I am subbing tomorrow for my former co-teacher and again for a different on next Wed. I had two calls for today, but declined since I already had my day planned. Another of my teacher friends contacted me to work a day for her in a few weeks and I accepted.
Waving to y'all...I'm off to dig some holes

OKay, I've never really used a canvas garden apron before, so I don't have anything to compare it with. That one does have a lot of features - the dump feature is a new one for sure. If I still had my 1,000 sq foot garden I would probably like the convenience for deadheading, or maybe weeding, as long as it didn't carry too much dirt into the apron. One thing that would bug me is bugs. If I really got it full of garden refuse, I would be wondering if insects might be about to climb out of there up to my face.
Nancy, if you'd like yet another idea (lol - you are probably not in the mood for another one!) there are multiplication games at Cool Math that seem to help some kids remember times tables.
HRH came home for lunch and we watched one of the new Duck Dynasty that he had recorded. Gotta love this two-per-week deal. I will be a little lost without Big Bang Theory until Apr 4, when they air the next episode, which will be the 6th season finale. Sigh.

I used to play a version of hop scotch based on the individual times tables. I used chalk a lot and made up games where dd's loved to play - I had the teddy bears if we ran into trouble. (also using from time to time bubble wrap to count how many always fun.

Okay ~ I have not seen anything like that Roo Apron but I like the design. The strap being across the upper back instead of around the neck is nice. We don't have a veg garden any more but it looks like it would be handy inside for house cleaning round-robin days for moving super fast picking up several rooms.
I would probably use a small plastic shopping bag for trash either in the "pocket" or hanging from one of the hooks used to loop up the big pocket. That would keep the big pocket cleaner to be used for put-away items or paper for recycling.

Hello all! I like the "Try Again" motif as well. I always need 2nd chances - and 3rd and 4th ones too.
I just kind of floundered yesterday after the walk with dfriend. Well, I did put a nice evening meal together, if I do say so myself. I ate too much yesterday; this weather is not inspiring me to do much other than stay home and eat.
Today, so far:
x moms group
x met with prayer partner, dfriend S2 (I know I've mentioned her here before)
x lunch
Today, I need to:
- finish a.m. routine
- start breadmaker for dinner tonight
- spiff upstairs bathroom, at least;
- make sure living areas are tidy
- cook for the Thursday crew. All 4 will be coming, so there will be 8 for dinner tonight! I hope I have enough chicken. . . Menu: chicken and artichoke hearts in a cream/parmesan sauce, boiled baby red potatoes, parmesan bread, green salad. Dfriend A is bringing a beet salad as well.
- order coffee and bagels to pick up tomorrow morning
- return phone call from synagogue; a dfriend in my Hebrew class said he would try to find a spot at a Seder dinner for me. It is OK with me f a spot is not found; I certainly don't want to be a burden or a nuisance - and I do value evenings at home with my family. It would be very interesting to attend one, but I would not be crushed if that doesn't work out.
- maybe exercise. . .
Alright, I hope to be back with progress to report. I think I'll start with phone calls.

I'm inside for a break. Hoe, rake and shovel are my best friends at the moment. Will be interesting to see how my body responds to this physical work. I am considering this my exercise for the day. Still have another area to do. Don't think I bought enough "dirt in a bag" and may have to do a big box store run later. They are running a 2 for one sale on bagged dirt. I'm using the doing it right rather than doing it fast attitude.
Nancy...I wrote something to you in the Home work section in the villiage.
Lunch time and then its back at it. cy'all later........

If I was staying here, I'd ask for that apron as a gift. I love the design. When I garden, I normally grab a bucket and use it to put the garden waste into. But the apron would hold more and definitely appealed to me because it would also protect my clothes (I'll grab the bucket and weed puller and go do a run past the garden even when in nice clothes if I think about it - for instance after seeing friends off and I'm outside on the driveway.)
I'm home from my day out.
* Worked a bit at Presbytery.
* Had lunch out at Tim Horton's and cleaned another 50 emails from my in-box (down under 400 now.)
* Attended the non-profit housing board meeting
* picked up a few groceries
* picked up the mail.
Now I need to process the mail and think about what I'm doing next. Looking at my to-do list is a good start, I suppose.

Thanks for the homework suggestions, saw the one in the other thread as well; dd changed it again! LOL! I just figure out how we are going to proceed with home work schedule and dd says it's okay for dgson to go play with friends or work with his dad after school. Also b/c the teacher has some new concepts he's doing in reading he does that at home now with dd. Then later in the day dgson misbehaved on the bus and has playing w/ friends time revoked.
H. is helping dgson with math and it was getting on my nerves last night I was feeling puny. If I am helping h. comes in and takes over and it takes forever and is never done and does not seem to be doing any good that I can tell.
Dgd opened up the china hutch to show the baby N. and one dish got broke I yelled at dd I was not happy. Sort of having a rough day here.
BabyN. is asleep the trucks are outside working and that does not seem to be bothering her.
