Happy birthday, Kathryn!!!
(((
Twins))) That trouble with your teeth sounds awful!!! Hope you get some relief soon!!!
I want to read that article,
OKay... but no time right now... just posting while waiting for dh to get dressed. Today is our day at nursing home... dh, ds, and dfriend sing. DGS and I are strictly "ornamental." DGS moreso than I.
I'm just slow moving in the mornings! (And no whirling dervish in the evenings, either!)
ROFLOL... that describes me exactly,
Kathryn! And if you could see me, you'd think you were a whirling dervish, morning, noon, and night!!!
Lilac -- your Raggedy Ann room sounds sooo cute!!! I wish I could see it! And isn't it so nice when we find out that what we thought would take forever takes less than 15 minutes?
I need to do heavy dusting in here in the computer room... and I need to decide what to do with the broken computer that has been sitting in the floor for... a long time. So long I can't remember how long. * sigh *
Waving to
ALL!!! BBL!!!

Taking a break. I worked on moms group emails during my lunch hour, organizing things for the first meeting Thursday.
I can no longer sleep in, and my mornings seem to be hectically full. Today, I was up with the girls, did a bit of the a.m. routine, was out the door late at 9:00 to go work on the band uniform closets. I couldn't get into the room until passing time, which meant I waited about 20 minutes. (I went back to my car for part of that time.) Then, it took me about 35 minutes to tidy the closets. Then, I went straight to visit the international Bible study that dfriend is trying to get me to co-lead and was almost an hour late. I just don't think I can join that group; I have a lot on my plate as it is. Chatted with dfriend for a long time afterward, and got home around 12:15. Talked twice to guy we hire to do yardwork. He is good, but he is also rather social. That's OK. Then, I ate lunch and worked on moms group emails, trying to get everything covered, from the craft for the 3s and PreK/K classes to children's attendance sheets to classroom schedules to discussions re: hiring someone as our last child care worker, etc. etc. It is never ending. . . . I reviewed craft supplies list and craft list - and need to email supplies list to our secretary.
I also need to gather all the little bits of info the band director keeps sending me almost daily and (1) send it in an organized fashion to the other uniform parent who has the computerized database and (2) put in changes in the hard copy notebook that I have.
However, I'm tired of computer stuff for now. Next, I will:
- finish am routine
- start crock pot with chili - even though it is hot today. It will still be a yummy easy - and flexible meal. we are going different directions at different times today. I will go to a meeting at the school at 6:30; dd15 has band rehearsal (marching) at 7 tonight.
- go to the gym to work out. It is too hot for a jog outside.

The day is continuing on.
We had a nice lunch with ds and wander around IKEA. Unfortunately, my knees are acting up badly so I'm in pain now. I'm home for a few minutes so am icing them. Have to leave as soon as that is done.
No luck on our errands in the city aside from dropping off the donations to Goodwill. The printer I needed for the church was out of stock and no place we went to is selling styluses for dh's phone (he lost his on Sunday.)
I recommended he buy it online and I'll pick up the printer online tomorrow (there's another sale starting up.)
There have been numerous phone calls and emails about church stuff this week, plus I have a difficult sermon to preach in two weeks so I'm feeling overwhelmed right now. I'm sure the pain doesn't help with that any.

Saw a neighbor walking with a caretaker on our street. She lives on another adjoining street perpendicular to ours, 1/3 mile away. At first sight, she was so thin, so feeble, hanging onto the caretaker's arm for dear life, we waved as we passed, they waved, and then down further I got the mail. She stopped, turned around, waited a few moments, as though she thought I'd walk up to her to chat, but DH had cold groceries in the car and freezer stuff, I had to use the restroom, and I got the mail, waved, and got back into the car. I felt badly about not being able to run to her, hug her and chat, but the timing was all wrong. I'd been in an appt. for an hour, was crying in the appt. and my FM is terrible today. After a quick lunch, I crawled into bed about 50 minutes, to forget the pain and conk out.
I'll try to make an effort next week, to go call my neighbor and visit her, too. I'll put it on my calendar, as to not forget her.
She looks like she's failed quite a bit, which is a shame, but it's wonderful her DH got her caretakers for her care.
It's so hot here, but I was in bed under sheets, blankets, and 2 afghans. The bay windows and door window to the master bedroom, especially on a hot sunny day in the 80's, makes the room warmer. At least it was cozy and I'm not complaining about freezing.
I got only 1 letter in the mail, which is a relief because there are only 2 to answer now. I want to work on my cards some more, too. I think I'll grab the little day runner DD gave me, to write things that are absolute priorities in it. Like do the cards, visit the neighbor, etc....
I hope you continue to have a Very Happy Birthday, Kathryn!

Got a lot done today, in spite of my late start.
Ta Das:
-Visited dmom and refilled her meds container. (When I called to say I was coming, she told me she had already refilled it for the week, so I offered to ck it for her. When I got there and looked at it, it hadn't been refilled, so I don't know if she took meds this morning or not.)
-Got gas in car for tomorrow
-Macs to PT and home again
-Post office, mailed letters and got stamps
-Tarjay for some shirts and pajamas for dsis, several other things on my to do list (did you know you apparently can't buy benydryl for allergy anymore - only as a night time sleep aid?)
-Big athletic store for sweatpants for dsis - more comfortable than the "fashion" active pants at Tarjay
-took car through car wash and cleaned dash and what I could reach w Armor all while wash going
-Health food store for ginko balboa - recommended to ds by his doc, so I was going to try for myself, but they didn't have any and clerk was clueless
Didn't get to Lowes for refrigerator filter, reel for trimmer, and mulch, or get to temple to sign cks and discuss stuff w dsecretary. (Her emails this morning sounded snarky, I'll get there tomorrow before I leave. Hearing Harriet and Barney Fife chime in: I think she's a NUT!)
Dh is at meeting at temple. I could have attended as an ex officio member, but decided not to go.
Weather is still hot this week - temp is 85 and I'm waiting til the sun goes down a little more before I walk ddogs.
Ivy, you reminded me that I need to call a friend - I found out at Rosh Hash services that she has been ill and she doesn't live very far from me. Apparently home bound so I'd like to try to get by to see her Thursday maybe.
Lucylee, I'm with you on the eldercare this week.

Happy Birthday Kathryn May all your adventures this year treat you well.
Yes - I am glad you are here too.
waving from Wednesday.
trying for little jobs often here today - each 15 min - until I leave for yoga in 45min at least.
Hooked up dog running lead differently so it is "up" rather than low. He is a little more restricted as he used tangle himself at tree line, and into neighbours place. There are slowly replacing fences so that was more to get tangled on.
Need to move again..
