Harriet, I asked DH what you and HRH should do about the locked filing cabinet now.

HE said, "I'd probably call a locksmith and have him unlock it and have him make up a new key."

I KNOW that costs $$, but "my" initial idea was to have some teenaged boy come in to pick the lock with a nail file or with a hair pin and do it that way.

I know that sounds "odd", but MY teen grandsons are so inventive and can do things like this. Do you have any teens in your life who are savvy enough to do this for you? A nail file sounds like a good idea. I've never heard of this happening before. Why on earth did a filing cabinet have to up and do this to you?
As far as Tweaking Tuesday goes, here are some things I/we need to do before Thanksgiving:
1- I need to strip and clean 2 china cabinets' shelves, but 1 china cabinet was recently dusted out, so it's all shiny already.
2- I need to decide which tablecloth to use, or to go without one, to show off the wood table, which is beautiful.
3- We got our Cornucopias out, but I do need to get out the turkey sculpture and Pilgrim couple who say, "Happy Thanksgiving" on their sign.
4- It's not necessary for me to clean the entry china cabinet because DD will just walk right past it, so I could also move crystal around and dust well, to cut down on time of removing everything, cleaning well and putting everything back.
5- The bathrooms, main great room/kitchen/dining area will be cleaned well.
6- I'll clean in baby steps and tidy up the other rooms, lest DD goes in there.
7- Also, I need to find places for books, in case DD brings me some more.

We've started up our own exchange library between the 2 of us.
DH does the shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, but I plan and write a list. It's just us and DD, so there isn't a huge crowd.

DH watches football and he cooks with a little help from me. I do the table and since DD might be here (I said might!), we'll watch a DVD movie she brings, too. (Sometimes they're weird movies.)

Clean-up is a communal thing, DH gets take-home leftovers together for DD and we visit and then she heads home before going-home traffic on the freeway gets too bad or before it gets too late.
Twins' sorry about your tummy.
Elizabeth, WTG spending 1 hour on job searching.
Lucylee, It's GOOD you're always tweaking.

I think it makes us more spontaneous and ready for anything. It makes you more flexible, doesn't it?
MT, It sounds like your yard got in a major tweak today. I bet it looks brand new and so different, too.
OKay, I hope LO is better!
(((
CathyS))) It's good you have a "place to go", like here, when your Mike's a whirlwind.
I was terrible sick this a.m., but with my pills for that stuff, it's gone away, I have no cramping or anything and am fine now.

My new panties are to arrive today. I've been washing panties every 2 - 3 days, to wear my favs.

And now I'll have 9, so won't need to do laundry as much!
