I must need post-it notes back on my computer monitor! I was going to remember to mention LO and his procedure this morning. But I had anticipated it would be easy for him, and I'm so glad to hear that it was.

Lots of formidable laundry and housework here.

Next ups -
brunch
mopping
spif of front bath
trip over to the other house
check and see about hem on slacks

Possible reward activity - gift wrapping

Ohhhh Okay, so happy for you and LO. Glad the procedure was a success and that every thing was easy for the two of you.

I think Kathryn posted in the wrong place.

Just found out that I am part of a conference call this afternoon. I've never done one of those. I have to admit, I'm a bit scared. The topic of discussion is something else I'm not familiar with as Mike and I have never been in the position to have anything needing a financial advisor. I really don't know how to handle this. It's all become so overwhelming that it made me cry just trying to figure it all out.

OKay, I'm so glad LO's procedure was a success! :D

Formidable on Friday is so TRUE and honestly, I needed to read that this morning, Harriet! :!: Last night, I decided to take a legal pad and write myself an OMM list again. They're so helpful! :idea: My main focus today will be the paper crafting sorting and putting away, of paper supplies, little what-nots and doo-dabs, cute little things for cards and scrapbooking. It's fun to "discover" things, too. For instance, last night, (this is nuts!) I found a 1970 wedding photo, close-up of DH and me in the cardboard studio frame folder. ♥ ♥ I had DH take it out and put it into a kitty cats frame, for my office desk. It's so nice to look at us now, when we ONCE were beautiful people, young, and so full of love. :P :P I'm wondering how it got deep into my papers bin. :oops: But I found it, it'll be great inspiration while writing inspirational, light romantic, and happy stories and poems. I can look at the photo and feel so good about our relationship over the years. I'm gushing! :lol:

I tidied the bed, took dirty clothes to the laundry room, downloaded 2 free e-books, read the obits, did QT, etc.... I don't have enough to do laundry today, so might wash the sheets today.

It's dry here, but it's supposed to be raining. :?: Maybe showers will come later.
Have a great Friday, Everybody! :D

Thanks Cathy, yes, I had posted in the wrong place!

+++++

Still looking for my cloak of formidability. I have started the laundry, brought in the garbage cans and put the grocery bags back out in the car.

I've also spent too much time thinking about where things are going to go in the new place. I really need to let that go for the time being because it is a waste of time. We need to pay to move things over and then dispose of what won't work. (What set it off this morning was the bar stool that dh sits on at the breakfast bar. No breakfast bar, therefore what do we do with the stools (there's a second one in the basement and they are from the pizza place we used to eat at all the time.)

+++++

Since posting the above I've started work on the sermon for Sunday. Solid idea but it seems to be stuck in my head and won't move onto the screen. Beethoven is part of it, as is Claudio Abbado so I've spent the past while listening to one of Abbado's version of the ninth symphony.

Dealt with conference call. Very nervous before the phone rang, but then I was (mostly) fine.

OKay has me distracted with a side-project. If this works, I'll have news for you all!

In the meantime, I have no progress to report (aside from the fact that I've won more games of solitaire!)

________

There! Finally pulled out the stopper and the sermon came gushing out. I'll have to figure out how to add music to it (in my mind, I pause for musical passages throughout) but the words are written.

ME? Sidetrack? Distract? :shock:

Oh yeah. That would be me. :D

I'm about to go stir crazy. I am having to be still so LO will be content to lay around. Sitting around inside while the sun is shining outside is hard! I keep walking to the door and then remembering I can't go outside. This is VERY MINOR and I don't mean to complain. I am very thankful that everything went well today and all we need to do is slow down for a few hours and let his throat heal (adenoids removed).

Worked on a story for about 45 minutes, but ended up with a terrible headache. :roll: Slept in bed 1 1/2 hours. No letters arrived today, so will do a pen pal news catch-up and write my Dsis and a couple of friends we know.

It's sunny one minute, light showers and pouring rain the next. It's 54.3*, is gusty, and T-storms come tomorrow with high winds. :( Hope we keep our power and Internet connection.

DH is filling up my humidifier now. It's for eye health and dry eyes. Sure works wonderful. With the wood fireplace insert fire going, it dries out the air. Also, DH dusted the TV and TV stand. Sun was shining on it, which made the dust show up. I'm glad he did that. I hadn't even noticed, as I do so many other things, while the TV's on, so don't notice as much. :oops: He's fixing himself some oatmeal now.

I need to get back to starting letter #1. :D
