MT: I got an "ip banned" yesterday from the car so just recycled my connection and was golden. That's the joy of being in control of the modem. Can't do that when I'm at hotels or airports!

I'm up and at it. I'm doing weekly kitchen chores even though they aren't due until tomorrow. I haven't really done them since coming home (Feb 15) so decided I should not wait another day.

:D I loved that opening quote, Dee!

I woke at 8:30 a.m. without the dawn simulator, had a great night's sleep, too! Rains are on their way, I'll work on DH's grocery list for Friday, when he'll also go to the store's pharmacy. I'll be working today, so will "pop" in, from time to time, when I need a break, to check posts and to post, too.

It's garbage pick-up day tomorrow, so will get trash dumped today, and the can and recycle bin to the curb. When I kissed DH this morning, he kissed me back, and he said, "Aren't you afraid I'll bit you?" He showed his teeth, then we kissed again, so THIS a.m. is much-much better than yesterday was! :D :D

Have a wonderful Wednesday, Everyone! :D

Hello Dear Ladies,

Peeking out from under the covers for just a few minutes.

Trip to TX was OK. Trip to DH's sis went pretty smooth. She lives near Dallas.Had some construction but GPS helped us find her. Had a very nice visit with her, DH and she talked about their mom and dad and growing up on the farm.

Headed to San Antonio and it took a lot longer than planned. Crazy drivers, lots of accidents, and construction so it took6 hours instead of 4. Motel was clean and nice. Had to sleep in a bed as the chairs were more like dining chairs. Didn't sleep well because of that.

Out back on the road to find equipment, had some difficulty meeting up with seller. But finally did and had nice visit with them. DH wanted to buy another piece of equipment but we just didn't have the room. Headed home.

Dson24 and I were both sick by now and just wanted to get home. Dson18 really wanted to stop back in Dallas to see Grease Monkey Garage but understood we couldn't. Texas is a very busy state and the traffic is jammed packed.

When we saw the Welcome to Oklahoma Sign we all cheered.

Got home around midnight. I crashed into my recliner. I have symptoms of a cold with stuffy nose, sore throat and my body hurts like crazy. Also have stomach issues too. Went to doc and got a shot and some anti-biotic and pills for nausea.

Not going in to work today. Going to rest, rest, rest.

Great day to all!

((Sadie)) so glad you are home safe and had good times on the trip! That's always important to touch base with family and share memories. Sorry to hear a bug seems to be "going through your family". I hope it will be a fast one.

Bugs/viruses - My dcousinMary called today and says a bug has gone through their family and it was a day each. In other words, her dd one day, her dh the next, the granddaughter the next. I don't believe it had a cough/cold component with it, though, like Sadie mentioned. It was all tummy troubles.

Um, I've been a little too quiet today. . . I have finished the a.m. routine, minus making the bed, have perused 2 international schools in NL as possibilities for dd15 - if they have room, emailed one asking for info. Had lunch. Have lol going and finished groc. list, which is quite short. I'm off to shop next. Dh voted for a pot roast tonight, which is great - but it needs to be in the crock pot asap for 7 pm eating time. . I'd like to aim earlier, but with this dinner group, we often don't eat before 7.

-wrap up temple budget as much as possible for now DONE
-email reminder of exec committee meeting w prospective budget DONE
-fold lol from dryer and reboot laundry DONE

-s2s
-walk ddogs
-start info for agenda and president's report for meeting
-try to find info which I printed out several weeks ago re: trustees and cemetery board reps
-do a schedule of $$ available for building and major repair needs
-make the bed

It is still cool and cloudy here today - temp now only 52 degrees and quite overcast. I am sooooo cold. Our heat tends to rise to upstairs, where ds wants the temp cold. I periodically have to go upstairs and turn off the A/C. Thermostat downstairs is at 69 but I feel like my hands are freezing!

sitting down with a cup of coffee while the house is quiet (LO is down for a rest/nap)

Being off schedule makes it harder for me to know what I've done. I just go from one thing to another on a whelm. The things I can remember doing today are -
** Breakfast made/served/cleaned up. Made Raisin/Cinnamon toast & fried eggs for the guys. I had a fiber bar.
** Used DH hand written notes to type/print Elder minutes for tonight's meeting
** Filled & hauled 12 buckets of water for newly planted trees. This system is getting more redneck....I discovered a couple of my grandmothers wash tubs fit perfectly on one of the wagons. Each washtub will hold 2 five gallon buckets sitting side-by-side. As I pull the wagon containing 20 gallons of water (4 buckets x 5 gallons each) some of the precious water splashes out.....however now the washtub it there to catch the water. When I reach the tree to be watered it is easy to fill the buckets back up using the water in the washtub.
** turned faucet in the garden off ....ahmmmm...after I discovered that I had left it running full blast all night long.
** Gathered all of LO base ball equipment and organized it into his backpack. Had to find a picture online to know which way the bat was to be inserted.. The simplest of things confound me......
** Lunch made/served/cleaned up - BBQ pork ribs, baked potato, salad for the guys. I had boiled summer squash & grilled asparagus.
** Filled the dogs self feeder and cleaned out their water tub.
** Visited with DFriend when he stopped by to get some used tires from our barn.
** Two LOL finished to put away status.
** Created a picture (logo) for newly created FB group of lifelong friends that went to school together. Uploaded that picture and used it for cover (header). Also updated FB group events to reflect location and time of upcoming meal & gatherings.

Hi everybody! All 4 bags are packed and all 4 are around a pound lighter than required. Everything that isn't packed, isn't going to be packed. If we miss something, we can buy it. We do have an extensive list for the W al Mart in Port Laud. Wine and pop and soda water and red vines.

I will try to be in touch from the ship. If I can't get in here, I will be trying to get on to F ace B ook.

I had a mani/pedi this morning, and Mike choose red for my toenails. I wanted something that is closer to the real me... purple with glitter. 8-)

I have done my legs. All I need to do between now and leaving is 1 load of laundry and a shower. We fly down tomorrow and the ship leaves at "around" 4 on Friday.

Yay! 26 days with the in laws.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Cathy: Another tip, sometimes when IP addresses are banned, you can still send a PM directly to one of us to post. The system seems to block the main forums but not the message system within the forum. I do that occasionally.

I've cleaned the kitchen today. Started while watching tv, meaning at first to only tidy up, then I got doing weeklies, then I pulled out the stove a bit and saw how dirty it was underneath so got my 'under appliance' attachment for the vacuum and did that after dh's conference call was over. Since I had the attachment and vacuum there, I pulled off the grill at the fridge coils and was shocked.

Every once in a while I see evidence of how sick I've been. The matted dust on the coils showed I hadn't got to that task for years. Sigh... Anyway, it is done now.

Vacuumed the whole main floor, mopped the kitchen and foyer floors and put down underpadding under the area rug I had pulled out temporarily. It's been there for 3 months now and harder to vacuum without underpadding so got that done.

Still have to dust but quite a bit has been done to brighten things around here.
