I remember Mystery. She had relatives north of where I live and one summer when she was visiting, we spoke on the phone for a bit. I miss her.
Today Mike and I are seeing Ringo Starr and his all star band at Casino Rama. That is a 2 hour drive north east of us. We plan to leave at 12. Therefore, knowing Mike as I do, it will be closer to 1. The alarm was set for 9 and he is just getting in the shower now.
Sleep apnea... I have been telling Mike for many, many years that he needs to have a sleep test. He stops in the middle of a snore and then makes a choking sound a few minutes (seconds ?) later. Of course, along with his refusal to have the colonscopy and any allergy tests, that ranks right up there with my distress over his health. He would rather sit around and scratch all over and blow his nose about 20 to 30 times every morning rather than go for allergy testing. I think he prefers to guess at his allergy and make me wash, rinse and re-rinse all his clothes on a regular basis. Enough about how much he annoys me....
The cleaners, the contractors and the gardeners are all at my dad's today. The stager will be there on Monday as far as I know. The bin was supposed to be removed and the driveway was going to get sprayed black to hide the horrid stains that the bin company's bins left. (My brother sent them pics and they acknowledge that they are at fault, and they are paying for the spraying of the driveway. A very quick resolution. Plus it helps sell the house hopefully.)
Tomorrow is another action packed day. After we leave Casino Rama, we are headed to a derby game double header to see my daughter and give her a trunk full of stuff from grandpas. She gets all the Blue Jay memorabilia plus 2 large photographs. I think we are also giving her some tools and golf balls. I just want my trunk emptied.
Yesterday I also brought home a bag full of shreddable stuff from my "office. At the rate I am getting things done, I might be able to be out of the storage rental by October 1st. I can't see myself going up there in the snow and colder temps. It's less than 20 minutes from where we live, which for me is nothing.

Re: Furthermore, on Friday
We received 6/10th inch of rain. A drop in the bucket to what we need, but every drop is greatly welcomed and appreciated. After the storm passed, I walked outside to see if we had any damage. None...however I found something VERY disturbing. I found a cigarette butt in our yard. It looked fresh and was mashed down where someone had used their foot to put the fire out. We haven't had any visitors (lately) that smoke. Some one has been inside our fenced in yard....which means they have made friends with our 2 dogs. I did a quick look because there is plenty around our place to take & pawn. Tractor, welder, trailers, etc etc still here. After I finished mowing the other day, I left the lawn mower (worth about $6k) sitting under a tree to cool off before I cleaned it up and put away. I never went back and put it away so the mower is still sitting in the yard....with the key still in ignition. Strange. ..... If they weren't here to steal.....then what were they doing?

Re: Furthermore, on Friday
(((Dee))) thinking of dShelley today.
OKay... I like that... 3 outcomes...
My three outcomes for today:
1. dentist (hoping for an outcome of no cavities!)
2. visit w/dcousin
3. s/s dh's shower
and 4. a nap!
We were up very, very late last night. DH & DS didn't get home until around 2:00 a.m.
DH reports this morning that he did not sleep at all last night, said he started worrying about ds/ddil and her new job hours. Said he didn't want his "pleasure to put someone else out." His worry is that when we go to Braves games next month, ds will need babysitter while he gives banjo lessons... (1 day)... and that since ddil will want to take off the weekend that ds is at festival near her hometown, she will most certainly have to work the following weekend when we will go to the AU-Ark. game -- and ds will be out of town.
Again, 1 day. I told him to please quit worrying about that, that they will work it out... but then he got ME nervous and I couldn't go back to sleep.
Her work hours WILL mean someone will have to come spend the night with them or dgs will have to spend the night somewhere. No one wants to get out at 4:00 a.m. to go to a babysitting job! Good grief.
PLUS -- I was awakened at 7:30 by call from caregiver for dmil... she is still throwing up. We told caregiver to call home health nurse and let us know what she thought.
Guess I better head to the dentist...

Re: Furthermore, on Friday
For Dee.
OKay, when we visited dfirstsisil's house she had an outdoor motion-sensor alarm that "rang" like a loud doorbell several times while we were there, so she showed it to us. (What was happening at that moment was that an appliance repairman kept going back and forth to his truck.) But she said that most of the time it is very helpful and doesn't "ring" unless there is actually someone entering their drive/entry space and they should give attention. She said she did have to readjust it upward once, so that it wouldn't pick up pets. Anyway, it made me think it is a very good idea. She is pleased so far. Bought it at Home Depot, though I don't know which one. They have online customer ratings, though.
Dd34 had an ordinary visit and dr scheduled another visit Monday.
Cathy, would Mike consider the mouth-guard-like thingie they advertise to pull the lower jaw slightly forward and help snoring? At least in my limited understanding, I think that would have to also be helpful for sleep apnea. (Oh, well, "disclaimer"

H. Was talking about the new guy at work with loads of exp. At his job they hired but this person is used to a pretty laid back way of working fellow employees are fit to be tied! LOL!
I have put away some clean dishes on the counters, lids are sorted and on plastics. I picked up ths vacuumed the kiving room spiffed the bed covers as well. Waiting for Rx place to open so I can call them, while I wait listening to the tv preacher I like. Hoping that students we might know that in the news school are safe.
Dgd is with the other granny today, toddler N will be here noonish, dgson after school.

Re: Furthermore, on Friday
OK, stress level is rising. I probably shouldn't even be here. It is almost noon. I have until 2:15 and then I pick up the girls from school and then go tutor.
Last night and this morning, I collected photos of dd18 for her photo board. She sent me 24 more this morning. I've ordered prints from Walgreens of the digital ones. Collecting the photos took hours.
I went through albums, boxes of photos, digitized photos, and finally dd18's fb page. Glad it is done. I am also s2sed and have had half my lunch, made a groc. list. I did get the appliances polished and the MW washed out yesterday. Spot cleaned cupboard doors.
Priorities for today:
- prep guest room. This is dd16's official bedroom (where she doesn't sleep) and it is a mess. She will clean it up when she gets home from school. I will go ahead and change the sheets, though.
- Clean up bathroom
- groc. store run
- pick up photos at Walgreens
- prep for tutoring
- pick up girls
- tutor
- dinner; dh says he's going to make pasta for us
- dust living areas
- wash spot on wall where dogs rub and make it dirty
- maybe make butterscotchies tonight
Others can help with house pick up, animal chores, and weekly vacuuming chores. I've asked dd18 to clean up the play room.
Now, I'm off to finish the a.m. routine, put clean sheets on the guest bed, and then clean the bathroom.

Harriet - thank you for the excellent idea!
RE: logging activities/tracking time. A couple weeks ago I started using IFTTTto automatically log phone calls and txt messages to my google calendar . WOW!! It has been an eye opening experience to see how much of my time is used by these 2 items.

OKay, I'm glad you got rain, even if it wasn't enough. Boy, that's scary. DD2 got one of those camera things, it's mounted by her front door / garage door and inside she has a set of equipment to tape things... however she did not have it adjusted correctly to pick up who egged her cars the time the whole neighborhood got hit. If you told the local police, would they drive by now and then to keep an eye out? They do that here, especially where there is an empty house to look for squatters.
Elizabeth, sorry you now have a diagnosis, but I guess it's good that you know and can now be proactive.
Harriet, how frustrating with the school dismissal. Somebody's head should spin over that goof.
(Dee) I liked Harriet's balloon.
I'm struck recently how many of us have totally overloaded work schedules, going from one thing to the next and not really keeping up with it all. I know I'm not alone in the ball - juggling routines.
And speaking of that - I knew yesterday's stack of mail would take a couple hours to process, and it did, plus some. Going back and forth outside with phone for DH (important stuff) kept interrupting me. I have 3 longish projects still on my desk to do.
Of course, after yesterday's jam-packed day and early rise, I couldn't even eat dinner I was so tired, and slept all evening, then of course couldn't go back to sleep till later and was up later this morning. There is a reason I don't get up at the crack of dawn.
Watching the news, but don't see Nancy's reference to school difficulties. I don't need to be watching coverage of bad events anyway..
