Going to brunch in a bit, to do a belated ann. Celebtating, fixed my hair changed my outfit.
It was relatively quiet here last night. They do have restrictions on fire works here some ok some not & it is confusing, fire crackers bottle rockets and roman candles not ok here but people do em.
Fire works were allowed only 1 week before and after the forth has been shortened to 4 days this yr. And next yr. Only 48 hrs.before the 4th and none after. The pros can & do a big show over the water down town at dusk. Indian res. Up the road 29 mi. Sells illegal fireworks where neighbors get 'em I suspect. Think of the firemen and emt people bc of the fire danger dry tall grass in fields all around us. Not so many fire trucks went out so the stiffer regs must be helping.
They are alowed on New year's eve here too.

Twins' Mom, The Hora dance looks so festive, fun, and just wonderful for the couple and everyone in attendance. Thank you for sharing the link with me. I loved it! ♥
Dee, I'm glad your stomach felt better later.
Booksaver, I hope you don't need to go far to see or get to your Dmom for a visit, too.
Nancy, Enjoy your belated anniversary celebration, too. It sounds nice for you two.

Hi, Deb!
Incentive spirometer, says ddil, to my description of "the little contraption".
She's going to get her P.A. if she can hold out and put up with all the classes plus work and be Mom. She might decide on a N.P.
Nancy, I think your community is so wise to start limiting. Right, for the pros, who have their permits, that's different and makes sense, usually takes place within a certain few hours and is monitored. Ds says the fire that burned in a community about 20 miles from here, could be seen from that local fire dept because it was so high, with some kind of fireworks having landed in the tops of trees. So they were on the scene faster and that was very lucky. It's true that the fire depts are not to be envied during fireworks time - locally we have had hand injuries.
I'm going to be joining Ivy in some housework, since ... ...
HRH is going to have his equivalent of a SHE get-together here today!
A friend he's had for years in their MMO massively multi-player online gaming is going to drop by while on a trip. They've battled quite a lot together,
so it will be nice to see each other in peace time.

Morning Ya'll..
I got up early to watch the Wimbledon tennis this morning. Inbetween the commercials I did 2 loads of laundry, dried and put away, plus my morning routines. I've really been staying on top of everything around here and it is making my mornings much easier....
I haven't felt my best the last two days, just tired and out of sorts, so yesterday I spent time watching movies, reading my book and just feeling bored. Am feeling 90% better today. Still not up to full steam, but getting there.
I posted my blueberry muffin recipe so its there if anyone is interested. Low sugar and very easy to make....no electric mixer needed, just a strong spoon and a two bowls....my kind of thing to make. This blueberry muffin recipe is the best I've found and I've tried many since blueberries are a favorite of Sweeties.
Too hot to do much outside so I'm just going to hang around the house today.
Thought I'd share what I am doing for Sweetie while I'm gone. I have a few things like watering the plants and feeding Frances the First that Sweetie is going to do for me.
I wrote out several "Daily" cards on bright neon yellow index cards and have placed them on a photo easel with his daily reminders. I have been baking dinners in batches so Sweetie will have them to eat while I'm gone. Needed a way to reminded him to take the food out of the freezer in the morning so they will be ready for him to heat up for his dinner.
So...I set the easel up right next to the sink with what he needed to do. He can just look at a card and do what the reminder says. That way he doesn't have to think about anything. When he's finished, he can just slip the card behind the pack and work on the next card....so easy peasy I'm wondering why I didn't think of this for myself when I was working out of my box.

DONE!!! #10 on my list of things to do today, before 5 p.m. got done, then some! I finished reading my longer book on stress, then read 3 shorter stress free e-books.

I'm tired now, so might take a little rest with my U-shaped pillow in the recliner.
Dgs is no trouble at ALL! He's so enjoyable.
Lucylee, what is Levoquin and the steroid shot for? Since you got an rx for cough syrup, too, do you have a bad cold virus? If so, maybe this is why you were in bed a lot on the 4th? I know you had a rough day, that day, so maybe you were getting really sick.
I think I'll shut my laptop down now, until later evening. I've run my daily scans already, don't need to write today in Word, don't need to fiddle around with my calendar reminders anymore. So if I take a nap, perhaps my laptop will want a nap, too!
Waving hello to Everybody and have a very nice Sunday afternoon, too.

Lucylee, feel better. And Mr. MT.
Hoping LO is doing better also.
(bookie) sorry about your dmother, may her hip heal completely.
Yesterday I worked on a couple projects around here, got the desk caught up again, cut down a box and wrapped/boxed the old monitor and got it up on a top shelf. It was one of the first flat screens they made and very heavy, though small.
I didn't go to church today as I didn't want to be there as long as DH stays. I'd told him to take the car because I'd neglected to get the license tag for his truck and it has expired. I will get it tomorrow morning first thing. I did get a few things done around here though. Cleaned out the refrigerator and got some of the garbage together. I baked a chicken and some sweet potatoes, steamed the cauliflower in the steamer. I filled up some hand soap containers.
I boxed up all those video tapes. They are mostly all old classic films, nothing much new but old musicals and classics going way back. DH wants to watch them. It is a huge box and my plan of putting them in a closet failed because the box is too heavy to lug around unless I use a dolly. So for now it's in the corner of a room. I'm hoping some day he will want to donate them, if not maybe in a yard sale if I'm alone...
And I'm getting a pile of clothes and stuff together for GW. Jeans he brought home with the tapes are all heavy and at least 3-4 sizes too big!
Thunder and drizzle here. I'm glad the fireworks are done. We had lots of pop! pop! pop! in the neighborhood.
Speaking of feet: I was emptying the dishwasher and dropped a saucer on my toe. Do not think the toe is broken but it's getting purple and sore. I've iced it. At least the toe broke the fall of the plate and it didn't break!

Lucylee Hope this licks that sickness and you feel better soon.
First chance to post today.
Got off to church almost on time and made excellent time on the way there so weren't late this week.
It was the first service of our new minister as our minister. It was fine. He's much more empirical than I so there's lots of Lord and Kingdom etc. I feel that sort of language made sense when the bible was written but God is much more than an overlord to us and I don't want those who have lived under cruel overlords to think that sort of power is all that God is. God is much more than a better ruler than the one we have now.
We did a quick stop at the house to get bookshelves and dvd shelves, then rushed home and started lunch. CM and CF were here with the kids. I still haven't unpacked the games but had to pull them out today because the boys were bored.
Cleanup was quick but then the grease jar spilled (it has split when I put the grease in it but didn't make a noise and didn't leak until put the lid on and lifted it up to put it in the fridge.) About 10 oz of grease when over the stove-top, the counter-top, the floor and in between the stove and counter. It also went between the outer and inner walls of the side of the oven so dh insisted on taking it apart so we wouldn't have the smell of burning grease the next time I use the oven. Then I washed the floor. All not on my to-do list and now I'm very sore.
We are going to bring up the bookcases next and possibly even finish the task of bolting them together and putting them up in the closet to hold the photo albums. Then I'll take down all the dvds from the office shelves and put them in the living room on these other shelves, freeing up room on the office shelves for the mementos and photos of family.

FF -- Leovoquin is just a -- so far as I know -- strong general antibiotic -- I wouldn't recognize the name except that's what dmom has been taking for UTI's, and what they gave dmil when she was in the hospital w/the stomach problem. So I guess it is just the "it" drug now that is good for whatever ails you. I'm a tiny bit concerned, b/c dmom always says when she takes it for the UTI, she always feels worse before she feels better... so I'm thinking, hmmmm... but OTOH, it could be that dmom just feels sooo bad to begin with by the time she starts a round of antibiotics, that it seems that way to her. Dmil had no noticeable side effects from it when she was taking it.
Yes -- this is the same thing I've had since before the 4th. I just finally had enough. Last night I was up at 4:00 a.m., taking old, leftover cough syrup that had Phenagren (sp?) in it. Boy... I slept like a LOG, then... but -- I still felt quite "drunk" at church, and when my cough started coming back before we took communion, I slipped out and just went and sat in the car and waited on dh.
The steroid shot, which my allergy doctor generally feels I need at some point during allergy season (based on my ususal complaints), but which I did not get this year, would probably have done the trick on its own. It usually takes about 24 hours for that to kick in, but as my old (now deceased) family doctor used to say, it won't cure anything, but it will make EVERYTHING feel better. So I'm looking forward to that feeling.
Boy... what a yucky unexpected chore w/the grease spill, (((Kathryn)))
So sorry to hear about BookSaver's dmom! Hope she heals well and quickly!
(((Harmony's sore toe!!!))) Ouch!!!
(((Mr. MT)))
Good system for Sweetie, RR! (Sorry to admit it, but that was my thought with my card holder, but it's not working all that great, actually, for me. But maybe Sweetie, being hungry, will pay more attention to his reminders.)
More I'd like to reply to but I'm just not thinking real clearly... waving to all!
