Morning ya'll...
My day is pretty much planned for me as well. Just finished talking to my neurologist office concerning my migraine meds. When I had to change insurances the cost of the meds I was using went through the roof. Why one major insurance company charges me less than $2 per pill and the new one, $16 for the same med is beyond me.
Anyway, my dr gave me a new injection type med to use. It's like an epi-pen...self injecting type and I don't want to travel with it for the obvious reasons...I will be using several international airports and I can already see problems trying to get that darn thing through security. Just finished with a call to my dr's. to see if I can get my old prescription refilled. May cost me, but at least I won't have the hassel of explaining myself while trying to board a plane. Oh the joys of flying.... Good Luck Helia and family...
Today will be spent trying to photograph my photos and getting all my genealogy together so I can have it with me next week. Also contacting my new historian friend to find out if I need to make appointments to visit the cemetery and churches on my list. Luckily this fellow is president of both boards that oversee these site.
I have three new to me cousins... two fouth cousins, a girl in Denver and a guy in IL. My NJ cousin is my third cousin who I consider my mom's long lost family. All of them are so excited about knowing the other and appreciate all the wealth of information I have been able to find. Still can't find the important connection, but if my NJ cousin has anything to do with it that answer may be close. She is my age and a newbee to the computer..doesn't even know how to email, but she's been like a dog on a bone working the boards at Ancestry. We talke daily and we are developing quite a friendship...same with my other two new cousins but our exchanges have been through text and email.
Because my photos are so old, they are very hard to duplicate. They won't scan, and I am having problems with my camera producing usable images. My iphone takes great pixs, but they are very hard to reproduce a hard copie. I am off to Walgreens to try a few and if that is successful, will spend the rest of the day documenting with my phone.
Tomorrow is my running around day tying up loose ends for the trip...Friday I will do a W mart run so Sweetie will have plenty to eat. Already have my packing list done and will get my suitcase ready over the weekend.
We had big storms late last night and I thought about you Twins with Max. Storms like this don't happen often and last night Willis and I sat out on my covered patio and watched as it past by. The thunder and lighting...and there was plenty of it big, loud and flashy...didn't bother Willis in the least. I was really surprised at that. However the sound of the rain hitting the gutters and roof really puzzled him. This rain was very hard and the drops are very large. He stood very quietly next to me with his head moving from side to side trying to figure out what he was hearing.
I had a blast bowling with my friends yesterday. In fact I bowled five games. Haven't done that in forever. We had so much fun that we hope to do it again so.
Twins...I understand how you must be feeling with your sister. That is a long way to travel in one day. I know how it wore me out when I was doing that with my son. At first we, his dad, my son and myself, were making that turnaround trip every other week. The effects were telling on all of us. None of us wanted to go to a once a month visit. That was way too long for either myself or my dexh to go without seeing our son. Our solution was to go once every three weeks...and that schedule worked for us. We did that turnaround drive every three weeks for 9 years until my son was old enough to make the drive himself.
When my son turned 15 we made him do all the driving with us in the car. By the time he was 16 he had well over 15,000 miles under his belt...By the my dexh was CEO and President of the largest cellular company in the south. He had access to the James Bond type cell phones which he equiped my son with. He also had some sort of futuristic tracking device installed in our son's truck...this was back in the late 90's..so when my son turned 16, he began making the drive by himself.

I told myself I would LET GO and just not mention it anymore at all to ds... but I went back on that promise and I did tell ds I TOTALLY understood, b/c my inlaws had always been too much in my life, too... but I wished ddil had not even mentioned it to me -- b/c I just hate KNOWING something and not being able to share it w/dh. DS said, "Well, I wasn't even sure SHE wanted to go... she's talked to you more about it than she has me... so I wasn't SURE we were going either." So... I'm just going to pretend ddil never mentioned it to me. Or at least, try to pretend that in my head. 
Not sure if that was the socializing, the jog + kayaking (not too strenuous), being outside (it wasn't too sunny), or a restless night's sleep last night - or a combo of all of the above.
