I picked up the dining room. Next up dining room floor is done.

We had some rain h wants me to not use the jeep bc of the rain  so he won't have to clean it up again. That is not going to happen steps are in and need installed I have an apt for three.

Sorry I've been MIA.

If I don't get here to post 1st thing in the morning - pfffft the day is gone.

Helia - hope your mom gets better quick.

KIC - safe travels

Dee - hope for good report from Dr.

Can't remember what else I was going to say.

Made 2nd batch of pesto yesterday without garlic to mix with super garlic one from day before. Now is it "just right". I need to get it in ice cube tray to freeze and then in my new vacuum sealer to keep for awhile.

Gotta run - DH is ready to go to post office and I want to ride along. TTFN

struggling with the amount of stuff my dmom has given me - she sees importance in things that I don't as much but she is a born organized person and doesn't want it at her house. Dd younger is a bit of a sentimental hoarder and sees value in anything family related - I think I am going to have to make some tough decisions.

one problem I am struggling with is a monet reprint professionally framed (large picture) ... dmom painted a picture of my girls years ago and it may not be my favorite but I have it hanging in the dining room to replace of the Monet print because she is happy that I appreciate her painting.
I used to hang up the print in the winter, while she was gone, but a forgot to hang her picture again in the spring. So I am kind of torn... keep the print that I love more or just let it go... so superficial and so unimportant... why I put so much thought into it. ;)

hi dearest mt. nancy helia, harriet, kathyrn, twins, dee, book (nice to see you too!) , friend

Thank you for kind thoughts and well wishes and prayers for dmom. Ddad said the cardiologist told him that we won't know the lasting damage to the heart for another 6-8 weeks.

((blessed)) I understand that struggle! Is there another place in the house where you can hang the Monet?

Well, this day has been moving slowly. a.m. routine is not completely done, but I have:
- done s2s and self-care
- fed dcat
- bfast
- had QT
- talked on phone with dfriend
- talked to dh; gardener guy was here and dneighbor came out and told him she is still not happy with the bush. ARGH!! It is shorter than it has been for years. I'm quite sure she WAS happy with it at this height in the past, besides the fact when we drive to that intersection, we can see just fine while vision the other direction is more blocked . . . Don't get me going. . . Dh has says he's going to handle it.
- menu plan and groc. list
- emailed small group
- lunch
- groc. store
- everything put away
- crockpot started with lentil and ham stew

Next:
- prep for review today
- work on finishing a.m. routine - update laundry, unload and reload dw
- start rice cooker at 2 pm with 4 hour delay so we can eat around 6/6:15 pm
- change clothes, gather items, leave around 2:40
- bank - I'm way overdue depositing some checks
- work

Later - this evening
- dinner: lentils over rice, grated cheddar, mixed veggies (or roasted brussel sprouts!), rolls?
- dd16 will go to church youth group, I think
- grade exams
- post all grades for the week
- prep 2 thank you cards for the mail
- laundry catch up
- perhaps prep for class tomorrow. It's odd. I have 2 more days of teaching while the final exam for this session is today. Awards are Friday at noon -- and then I'm supposed to teach Friday 3:30 - 5:30. . .

Twins, I'm glad it is working out for your dbrother to stay with your dmom. Yes, it sounds a bit different. Your dbrother sounds pretty reliable. Maybe I'm being too hard on my own brother, though. . . Yes, the handicapped child in the house is a huge factor, imho. But happily, this is not an issue we'll have to deal with in the near future. I assume. . . .

Wish I had a suggestion for you, blessed. Sounds like you are trying to please your dMom instead of doing what pleases you...

helia, so sorry to read about your DMom's heart attack. I hope she has a speedy recovery. Our DMom had a quad. bypass and recovered and was stronger.

Oh, Nancy, bad coffeepot. Glad it wasn't full of scalding hot coffee when it broke.

Kathryn, safe travels back home. Hi, MT.

I'm not doing well today. I'm a slug. With a very sore back. I overdid it yesterday (knew it was happening but had no choice) and got very little sleep because I was worried about what was going on with jobs, etc. Last phone call DH made had me worrying all night. I got up super early because I remembered 2 big sub sandwiches were left in cooler all night and not put in the refrigerator. Sometimes as the ice melts they can slip down into the water and then they're lost to a soggy mess. Thankfully, they were cold and dry.

Phone has been ringing all day. I had to answer the door in my nightgown and duster. Faxes and calls all needing my attention. I should force myself to do something. It hurts to move, I'm so sore.

I did get that letter printed off and sent. Crossing fingers it is received well. DH liked my edited version. I did not want it to look like sour grapes that another builder within the congregation was doing this job. Personally, I'm very grateful I didn't have to do the paperwork this involved, I think I'd have lost my mind, and really I don't think DH is up to that big amount of work. Working with him yesterday I saw how badly he struggles. He's stiff and sore too and just bending to get something off the ground is a struggle. We'd never be able to continue without a good helper.

Well coffee has perked me up so I guess I will try to do something here.

Nancy, how about not using the television, just watching whatever movies you have on tapes or cd's. No ads there. I have a problem with some of the cooking shows. Too ghoulish for me to watch.

I misread the theme for today as "Wedding Wednesday" & wondered who was getting married! Wishing Kathryn & Ken a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

It is week three of the month & my zone includes attic, basement, laundry room, outside & car. I've never worked in every area in the same week -- I tend to focus on the spots that need attention at that time. Since none of those five are in the main living areas of the house it is usually just some quick maintenance work that needs to be done. Today my car is clean enough & it is raining outside, so those two are out. I'm waiting for dh to contact an auction house about some basement items that their website says they are always interested in. Once those things are gone he will call the contractor to come in and answer all our questions & give us his quote. This was supposed to happen two weeks ago but hasn't. Our pattern with this basement declutter process has been to get a lot accomplished & then slack off. Baby steps ...

The attic needs some serious attention, including my seasonal clear-off-the-table routine. I noticed lots of dog hair on the attic rug when I went up to get the fall decorations, so I'll vacuum up there, too, once everything is put away. Even on cloudy days there is plenty of light up there so that will be my focus after lunch today.

So glad you are feeling better, Dee. Praying for a safe drive for you tomorrow.

((Helia)), I'm so sorry about your dmom. I'm glad she has recovered enough to go home.

Hi Blessed! It's so good to see you. Do you have an out of the way place you could store the picture? Maybe under or behind a couch, or under a bed? I'd hate for you to regret getting rid of the print since you really love it.

Hi Bookie. I hope you have a wonderful time, & that you get to sew way more than work. :)

Hope you enjoy your trip to Nashville, Twins. The concert sounds fun.

Hi Nancy. Bummer about the broken coffee pot -- that is not an easy cleanup. I hate when glass breaks in the kitchen.

Hi MT. Your pesto sounds delicious :)

Oh Harmony, I'm sorry your back is so sore. Hope it feels better soon. ((Hugs))

Hi Feline Friend. While cuop I've been meaning to tell you how much I admire all that you accomplish with your writing and needlework. :)

Hi Harriet -- I'm so glad you are OK after your near miss with that other car  .

Hi Lynlee, as our weather gets cooler I've been thinking of you enjoying your warmer weather after a cold winter there.

It was so nice to see Bittersweet posting the other day! :)

Well, I've had a nice tea & SHE break :) . Time for some lunch, then I'll mix up the meatloaf for tonights dinner & head up to tackle the messy attic.

Waving to everyone ~~~~~ hope you all have a wonderful day!

Morning y'all...

Yes Nancy the news about Dallas is bad..and really weighing heavy on my mind. My son lives 7 miles from the hospital so I am beyond concerned. Trying to stay focused on other things, but it is really difficult at the moment.

Glad to hear your mom is doing better Helia, its difficult when family members are or have been in harms way and you live far away...just ask me how I know ;)

Working on the house with several projects going ... I've got to stay busy for the comming weeks..ya all know what happens when your mind wanders.... it tends to take you places you don't want to go.

Next on my list: egg salad. Eggs are done and waiting to cool.

Waving to y'all... cy'all later......
