We are home safely but I have phenomenal black eye and broken ring finger to report. Paul McCartney was amazing but I tripped and fell outside the arena before the concert. We went to a walk in clinic this morning and they x-rayed my face, fingers and knee.
For now I'm going to nap - was a late night last night and was up relatively early this morning when dh woke me up to take more ibuprofen.

(((Gentle Hugs Twins)))
This car rental issue is becoming surreal.
Because we reported a problem with the car, we can't drive it because any damage that occurs will be our fault.(it is either low on coolant, obviously not our fault or a bad sensor, also can't be our fault but we'll be responsible for it if we drive the car.)
But we can't return it with less than a full tank of gas or they will charge us ~$10 a gallon because we didn't fill it. We used at least 5 gallons yesterday so that will be added to our $100/day rental fee (for a car that can't be driven anymore.)
The Volvo dealership will close before they get the car to it (note it is currently 4:20, we phoned about this at 1:30 and I'm not sure what the heck they are talking about.)
We need to go out to dinner tonight and drive 200 miles tomorrow.
Supposedly, they are bringing a car now. Goodness knows when since they can't get to the dealership by 5.
I'm so angry, I could spit. I have certainly yelled. And I guess I won't ever rent from Hertz again. Stupid, Stupid, policies.

Oh, Twins, so sorry for your fall. You must have hurt all the way through the concert. One of our small group couples is not coming this Sunday, they are going to another county to see Ringo!
Kathryn, I'd sure be mad at H tz too. Very bad service.
Yes, I meant that G C video. Tried a couple times to see it but couldn't because I couldn't get it to start playing. I used to like him too. Then there was all that gossip about what a bad person he was when he was married to Ta nya T ucker. But I did like his singing.
I had a phenominal nap. Fell asleep for 1 1/2 hrs on the plush couch in the living room. Forced myself to get up and go to a shop to pick up something for DH before they closed at 3:00. Made 2 other stops on the way home. House smells like chilli!
Head is ok. Just was very stressed with all the stuff I'm trying to figure out / remember / deal with / tell people. Made dpc to company re: stack of paper we got in email today, I need someone to explain what's going on...and got no answer at this big cpa firm.
Yuck now a cruise ship is sick. And a lady at the Pentagon. What's next?

90 minutes is a bit long, even for dmom and me, Nancy! Dbro and I were kinda concerned about her though, after talking to her last night -- but I feel much better now. She is probably making progress... albeit much more slowly than I would like.
A nap AND a house that smells like chilli... mmmm... sounds wonderful, Harmony.
Still haven't heard from ds re: any of his plans for tonight or ddil's plans for tomorrow. * sigh *
I still haven't s2s, either, so that would be an improvement and is necessary no matter what the night holds for me.

{{Twins' Mom}}! Ouch, ouch! Hoping that your healing is quick. Make up a good story with a lot of intrigue, for running into acquaintances at the grocery.
What fun that you got to see a big star. Paul McCartney was also greatly appreciated by HRH when he got to go to that Superbowl game. I think all the guys held their breath, really - they were star-struck.
Picked up laying crumbles at TS while I had a strong teen to lift 50 lbs. She was feeling down because of other students and I got her out of it (somewhat) by asking if those would do this for their family, or care. Nancy, I can't wait to hear egg-song here. Our pullets are fully combed, very red combs, except one... ... hmmmm... ...
The Pentagon thing was a false alarm. Now, hopefully, the person who quarantined themselves in their room on the cruise ship will be proved not-contagious too.

Well, C---, Katherine. I hope things improve for you soon. I hate it when things like this happen. It seems we have too many things happening to us, which didn't use to happen. Like, having to do anything dealing with people and companies (what else is there) and having to do it all twice or three times. I am having prescription problems right now and am so disgusted I could spit! I won't even go into it I am so upset.
Soooo, my really phenominal part of my day is the fact that last night my San Francisco Giants clinched the National League pennant and are on their way to the World Series (3rd time in 6 years). I am delirious. Our neighbors came here last night for baseball/pizza night and I thought he was going to have a heart attack. (I thought maybe the other neighbors next to us would be calling the police for all the screaming going on.)

His wife immediately took pictures of him and got them on her F acebook and then their kids started calling. It was a riot! We will repeat baseball and pizza for a world series game. My mantra all year has been "10-12-14". They won the series in 2010 and 2012. I am continuing with my mantra.
Hope everyone's weekend is Fantabulous.
Oh, Twins, so sorry. What a deal. I am a huge Sir Paul fan myself. I love him!

Oohh,
Twins', I'm so sorry you are hurting. Hope you can rest through the healing. ((Hugs))
Kathryn, molasses candy sounds good. Hope you were able to get the video of dUnc and dh making the candy. Too bad about the rental car. No, that is not good customer service....you should be getting a refund!!
Harmony, I'm sorry you are having a rough day. Wishing you could get caught up on rest between all those busy days! Chili sounds so good, yours is the best!
Helia, wanted to say that I'm glad your dmom was able to get to the hospital for treatment and she is recovering. Hope she continues to heal well.
Congratulations,
Elizabeth, on your job offer.
Well, it certainly is a nicer day here than up north, if Kathryn is getting rain, and especially in Bermuda. I was curious while watching Weather Channel and looked up the webcam they show. It is still broadcasting and the eye of the storm is close.
http://portbermudawebcam.com/ They are able to move it around for different views. It is getting dark there already, it will be a long night for those people.
Most of my usual Friday chores were done, a lol and I washed a few pieces of material so I can get back to that sewing. I also did some computer maintenance.....cleared out email and deleted a bunch of saved bookmarks!
Miss Blondie keeps telling me she wants something; I'd best go see what it is!
